Medical and Martial God

Chapter 320: Chapter 320: The Scion of the Wealthy Family

The BMW youth panicked. He didn’t have any friends in the Patrol Bureau Office—he was just bluffing. But now that the situation had escalated, he had to think of a way out. Once the Patrol Officers arrived, he would be finished. ”Fine, I’ll make the call now,” he said. He took out his phone and stepped aside, but he wasn’t calling a friend from the Patrol Bureau Office. Instead, he was calling his backer. Only his backer could save him now.

Ye Xiu’s hearing was extraordinary. Even though the BMW youth was more than a dozen meters away, he could still hear him making the call. A cold smirk touched his lips. He had purposefully provoked the man to call his backer. On the way to Qingfeng Road University, he had noticed many strange things in the surveillance footage sent by You Ming. He had to use this opportunity to draw out the backers of Ma Zhenzhen and the BMW youth. Otherwise, those two would only continue to cause trouble for Xia Zhiwei. Since I’m here, I might as well solve this problem once and for all, right from the root!

The BMW youth returned after his call, speaking with renewed arrogance. ”Kid, my friends will be here soon. Even Patrol Officers have to make way for them. I advise you to pay Xia Zhiwei’s compensation. Otherwise, once my friends arrive, I guarantee you’ll be in a world of trouble.”

SMACK!

Ye Xiu slapped the man, sending him stumbling face-first to the ground. ”Stay there and wait for your friends,” he ordered coldly. ”If you dare to stand up again, I’ll tear your face apart.”

The BMW youth, who had been about to get up, was so frightened he immediately flattened himself on the ground again.

Xia Zhiwei pulled Ye Xiu aside. ”This person seems to have powerful connections,” she pleaded. ”His friends must all be from high society. We can’t afford to offend them. Maybe we should just pay to make this problem go away.”

”So what if they’re from high society?” Ye Xiu said, completely unconcerned. ”Isn’t the Shen Family considered high society? And didn’t I mess with them until they were on the brink of bankruptcy?”

”That’s different. Taking on the Shen Family was about revenge, and the Official Family usually doesn’t interfere in the affairs of the Ancient Martial Circle. But the Eight Great National Protector War Gods have issued a decree forbidding Martial Artists from bullying ordinary people. If two Martial Artists like us clash with high-society folk, the Patrol Officers won’t take our side,” Xia Zhiwei explained.

”Don’t worry. The Patrol Officers will side with justice,” Ye Xiu reassured her.

Xia Zhiwei rolled her eyes. You already hit someone. What justice is there to talk about?

Just then, Ma Zhenzhen walked over. ”Sir,” she said, ”I advise you to settle this privately with the BMW owner. Just pay some money to avoid further trouble. Otherwise, if this blows up, Xia Zhiwei will be the one who suffers. The university will definitely punish her.”

”Yes, yes!” Xia Zhiwei nodded repeatedly.

”My foot! Did you get into Qingfeng Road University on your own merit, or did you use your connections to get in?” Ye Xiu scoffed.

”Are you calling me stupid?” Xia Zhiwei asked.

Ye Xiu just chuckled dryly. ”...Heh.”

”Sir, since you’re so determined, you’ll be the one who ultimately loses out. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” Seeing that Ye Xiu was completely inflexible, Ma Zhenzhen huffed and ignored him.

「Less than twenty minutes later!」

Over a dozen sports cars roared onto the scene, screeching to a halt in front of Teaching Building 17. A man and a woman emerged from each car, with the exception of a single Bugatti, from which a young man and a knife-wielding, middle-aged man exited.

At this sight, Ma Zhenzhen’s eyes lit up with envy. When will I ever be able to own a sports car like that?

Xia Zhiwei and her classmates, however, grew tense. So many luxury cars... The owners were clearly all rich kids. It’s over! Xia Zhiwei and Ye Xiu are done for!

”Luo Shao, you’re finally here!” The BMW owner, still on the ground, scrambled to his feet excitedly upon seeing his reinforcements arrive.

”Wang Kai, what happened?” the young man from the Bugatti asked as he walked over, his knife-wielding companion shadowing his every move.

”He hit me,” Wang Kai, the BMW owner, complained. ”This woman’s electric scooter hit my car. I asked for compensation, and she called this guy over to beat me up.”

”Oh?” The young man, Luo Shao, approached Ye Xiu and spoke in a condescending tone. ”Kid, even when you beat a dog, you have to consider its master. Daring to hit Wang Kai is the same as slapping me in the face. Do you have any idea what the consequences for that are?”

”Aren’t you going to ask why I hit him?” Ye Xiu asked.

”The reason doesn’t matter. You just can’t hit him,” Luo Shao retorted unreasonably.

Ye Xiu frowned, resisting the urge to slap Luo Shao. ”It was Ma Zhenzhen who knocked over Xia Zhiwei’s electric scooter,” he said. ”She conspired with Wang Kai to extort her.”

”That’s bullshit!” Ma Zhenzhen exploded. ”You say I knocked over her scooter? What evidence do you have?”

”Yeah, do you have any evidence?” Wang Kai added. ”Without evidence, you’re just framing us!”

Xia Zhiwei and her classmates were also confused. Why would Ye Xiu say that? Could he be afraid of Luo Shao and his people and is now trying to frame Ma Zhenzhen and Wang Kai?

”I do have evidence,” Ye Xiu said, taking out his phone. He found the surveillance video You Ming had sent him. ”This was recorded by the security camera in front of Teaching Building 17. The video doesn’t lie.”

After watching the video, Ma Zhenzhen and Wang Kai were dumbfounded. They never expected Ye Xiu to actually have evidence.

Fury erupted among Xia Zhiwei and her classmates as they realized it had all been a conspiracy. No wonder Ye Xiu slapped Wang Kai the moment he arrived! He wasn’t being unreasonable; he already knew the truth!

”So, do you still think Wang Kai didn’t deserve to be hit?” Ye Xiu asked Luo Shao.

”I told you, it doesn’t matter what he did. You hitting him is not okay!” Luo Shao remained stubbornly unreasonable, his voice turning cold. ”Kneel. Kowtow and apologize to Wang Kai. Then, compensate him for his losses. Otherwise, you’ll spend the rest of your life in a wheelchair.”

Ye Xiu was furious. This guy is a textbook example of an arrogant, powerful heir who bullies others with his status.

Wang Kai and Ma Zhenzhen, however, were delighted to hear this.

”Go on, kneel!” Wang Kai sneered, stepping in front of Ye Xiu, eager to watch him beg for mercy.

Ma Zhenzhen said coldly, ”I advised you not to make an enemy of Wang Kai, but you refused to listen. You must be regretting it now, right?”

The expressions on the faces of Xia Zhiwei and her classmates turned ugly. Xia Zhiwei, in particular, felt a knot in her stomach. Ye Xiu came here to help me, and now he’s being forced to kneel because of it.

”Hurry up! Kneel and kowtow to me!” Wang Kai urged impatiently.

SMACK!

Ye Xiu landed another vicious slap. This time, the force sent Wang Kai spinning several times before he collapsed face-first onto the ground with a thud.

Everyone gasped.

Xia Zhiwei, Ma Zhenzhen, and the other students stared in shock. They couldn’t believe that Ye Xiu still dared to hit Wang Kai, even when facing so many rich kids.

Luo Shao and his friends were momentarily stunned.

”This kid’s got guts, openly defying Luo Shao’s command. Does he have a death wish?” one of them said with a sneer.

”He must not know how powerful Luo Shao is. That’s the only reason he’d dare do this.”

”He probably has no idea who Luo Shao even is, right? It’s understandable. Luo Shao is the top young master from a preeminent family in Qi Yun Dao, while this guy is just a nobody. They’re not on the same level, so it’s perfectly normal he’s never heard of Luo Shao’s reputation,” another chimed in mockingly.
