Medical and Martial God

Chapter 312: Chapter 312: The Sinister Plan of Gun God Yin

After reading the email, Smith cursed loudly. ”Shen Songshan and Ye Xiu have joined forces! They’re trying to trick me into an ambush near Bao Longtu’s place so they can attack me together.”

Salina and her two companions were completely baffled. ”Master, are you sure Ye Xiu and Shen Songshan have teamed up?” she asked.

”My judgment is never wrong,” Smith declared with absolute certainty. ”Ye Xiu just went to the Shen Family’s estate. He couldn’t have even left their grounds yet, and Shen Songshan is already emailing me to say Ye Xiu will be a guest at Bao Longtu’s home tonight. This is clearly a scheme they cooked up to lure me near Bao Longtu’s place.”

This infuriated Salina and her two teammates.

”It seems the Shen Family has truly betrayed the Long Family,” Salina said gravely. ”Master, should we request the Dragon Head’s permission to exterminate the Shen Family and purify our ranks?”

”There’s no need to ask for permission. Just get it done,” Smith said coldly. ”Kill Ye Xiu first, then destroy the Shen Family.”

”But without the Shen Family’s help, we can’t find Ye Xiu. How can we kill him?” Salina asked.

Smith pondered for a moment before saying coldly, ”If we can’t find Ye Xiu, then we’ll make him walk right into our crosshairs.”

The eyes of Salina’s teammates lit up.

”Master, do you have a plan?” Salina asked.

”Tony, go find the most prestigious elite school on Qingfeng Road, the kind packed with the children of wealthy and official families. Focus on kindergartens and elementary schools, especially kindergartens.”

Smith rummaged through a box, found a bottle of medicine, and tossed it to Tony, commanding, ”From what I’ve heard, the Xuanse child eats lunch at their kindergarten. Once you’ve found the school, figure out a way to slip this into the children’s food. Hmph! Isn’t Ye Xiu the so-called Medicine King Xuanse? By noon tomorrow, when all the children are poisoned, their parents will force him to intervene even if he doesn’t want to. After all, every child in an elite kindergarten comes from an influential family.”

”Yes, sir. I’ll start looking right away.” Tony took the medicine and left immediately.

Smith continued issuing orders. ”Salina, once Tony identifies the best elite kindergarten, you are to find the nearest hospital and map the route and travel time from the school. Jacob, you’re responsible for finding the best sniping positions around the hospital. I will plan our retreat route for after the successful assassination of Ye Xiu. Ned, you will handle all logistics for the evacuation.”

「Shui Tian Lake Retreat」

In the living room, Ye Xiu, Qin Qing, Kong Ruoruo, An Dongye, Kuroki Suzu, Ghost Doctor, Chloe, Leng Yue, and Mo Luo were all gathered.

”Alright, let’s brainstorm,” Ye Xiu said solemnly. ”If you were Gun God and didn’t dare stay in a hotel, where would you hide? And if you couldn’t find me, how would you force me to show myself?”

Kuroki Suzu spoke first. ”If I were Gun God, I’d find a nice villa, take everyone inside hostage, and lure you into a rescue. I’d set up an ambush around the villa and snipe you when you appeared.”

”How much did you drink to be spouting such nonsense?” An Dongye retorted bluntly. ”That’s a plan for common thugs, not someone like Gun God.”

Infuriated, Kuroki Suzu lowered her head and fell silent. I should just stay quiet and invisible, she thought. It’s too hard to get any recognition.

”An Dongye, what would you do if you were Gun God?” Ye Xiu asked.

”Call me ’Boss,’” An Dongye shot back with a glare. ”Show some respect.”

Ye Xiu was speechless.

”I’ll go,” Leng Yue said, struggling to suppress her laughter. ”Gun God isn’t completely in the dark about Qingfeng Road. He must have learned a lot about you from Shen Tianfang. The assets you value most here are the Bao Family and the Heavenly Dragon Sect. If I were him, I’d target those two. It would both clip your wings and serve as bait to assassinate you.”

Mo Luo immediately disagreed. ”Gun God has a history of only going after his target, without involving innocent people. Of course, his methods might have changed since he joined the Long Family. But if he doesn’t understand the Young Master’s true strength, would he really think the Young Master would risk walking into the line of fire for the Bao Family and the Heavenly Dragon Sect? He wouldn’t resort to such a poor strategy unless it was his last resort.”

”That’s a good point,” Leng Yue nodded.

Ghost Doctor continued, ”For an assassin, a hideout is irrelevant. Qingfeng Road is massive. If Gun God hid in some random park, we’d never find him. He wouldn’t waste much energy on a hiding spot anyway; his mind would be on how to lure out Master and complete the mission. If I were Gun God, I’d exploit Master’s weakness to draw him out.”

Weakness?

Everyone present was suddenly intrigued. They all knew Qin Qing was Ye Xiu’s weakness, and now Kong Ruoruo’s family had been added to that list. The problem was, targeting Qin Qing or the Kong family would be incredibly difficult for Gun God.

They all wondered. Does Ghost Doctor know about another one of Ye Xiu’s weaknesses?

”Let’s hear it,” Ye Xiu said, his interest piqued.

”I believe that from Gun God’s perspective, the identity of ’Medicine King Xuanse’ is one of Master’s weaknesses. He could try to force Master to treat a specific patient for the sake of that reputation. Then, Gun God could set up an ambush around the patient and snipe Master the moment he appears.”

Ghost Doctor’s words hit the nail on the head, perfectly guessing Smith’s intentions.

”That makes sense,” Chloe said, picking up the thread. ”Especially now, at the crucial juncture where the Young Master and the Bao Family are jointly entering the medical field. Gun God would think the Young Master cares even more about his reputation as Medicine King Xuanse. I think the same way Ghost Doctor does.”

”But what kind of patient would be so important that my cousin would have no choice but to intervene?” Kong Ruoruo asked.

”This patient would not only have to be extremely important, but their condition would also have to be something the hospital can’t treat. It would require the Young Master’s personal touch,” Kuroki Suzu added timidly, having also started calling Ye Xiu ”Young Master” like the others.

”There isn’t a single patient in this world worth my little bro risking his life to save,” An Dongye shot back, targeting her specifically.

Heh. Totally expected, Kuroki Suzu thought. Time to play ostrich again.

”One patient might not be enough, but what about a group of them?” Qin Qing finally spoke up. ”If Gun God were to poison a group of very important people, Ye Xiu definitely wouldn’t stand by and do nothing.”

Kuroki Suzu gasped, ”Is he going to poison members of the Official Family?”

”Oh, give me a break!” An Dongye retorted sharply. ”Poisoning officials? Never mind whether he could even succeed—can you imagine the risk involved?”

Kuroki Suzu shrank back. Fine, fine, fine! I won’t say another word!

”Schools,” Qin Qing said in a grave tone. ”Specifically, the elite ones packed with the children of powerful and official families. Poisoning a place like that is easy—he could just dump it in the cafeteria food. If those students were poisoned, their parents would flock to Ye Xiu for help. In Gun God’s mind, those parents would form a group to pressure Ye Xiu into saving their children.”
