Medical and Martial God

Chapter 313: Chapter 313: An Overwhelmingly Dazzling Maneuver

After Qin Qing finished speaking, everyone turned to look at Ye Xiu.

He lowered his head in thought, replaying everyone’s words in his mind over and over. After a good while, he finally spoke.

”Although I find it hard to believe that Gun God would stoop to such despicable acts after siding with the Long Family, I have to admit, poisoning an elite school is indeed the best way to lure me into his line of fire.”

”That’s simple,” Kuroki Suzu couldn’t help but say. ”Just call Qing Luan and have all the schools on Qingfeng Road close for two days. That would easily foil Gun God’s plan.”

”Did you skip lunch? Is your brain starved of oxygen or something?” An Dongye retorted, just as expected. ”Right now, it’s not just Gun God wanting to draw our little brother out; our little brother also wants to draw out Gun God. This is the perfect opportunity to turn his own plan against him. Why would we foil it? If we do, are you going to be the one to find Gun God?”

Kuroki Suzu was speechless.

Heh! Fine, I talked too much. Is that so wrong?

”Gun God will need time to find a suitable elite school, but for us to find them, we only need to make a few phone calls.”

Qin Qing looked at Ye Xiu, hesitating for a moment before asking, ”To get rid of Gun God, are you really going to risk the lives of all the teachers and students at a school?”

Ye Xiu didn’t answer. After a moment of deliberation, he began issuing orders.

”Ghost Doctor, have someone send a batch of Hundred Poisons Pills from Jin Ye City immediately.”

”Okay,” Ghost Doctor said.

”Mo Luo, contact Qing Luan and secretly take control of all the elite schools on Qingfeng Road. I don’t need to tell you what your people should do, right?” Ye Xiu commanded.

”I know what to do,” Mo Luo replied.

”Leng Yue, you know what you need to do, don’t you?” Ye Xiu asked.

”Don’t worry,” Leng Yue said. ”My acting skills are pretty decent.”

”Get to it,” Ye Xiu said.

”Yes!”

Ghost Doctor, Mo Luo, and Leng Yue immediately hurried off.

Kong Ruoruo looked at Ye Xiu, her face full of admiration. In that moment, she saw the presence of a great general in him. He was incredibly cool.

”Little Brother, can we go for a massage now?” An Dongye asked.

Heh. You really can’t get massages off your mind today, can you?

Ye Xiu was just about to agree.

”You guys go ahead, I’m not going,” Kuroki Suzu said. ”I’m going to take a walk. Who knows, I might just stumble upon Gun God by chance.”

With that, she left.

A sense of relevance isn’t something given by others; it’s something you have to fight for. Kuroki Suzu felt a fire light within her—she was determined to prove her worth.

”Nobody invited you anyway,” An Dongye muttered. ”Little Brother, let’s skip the massage today. I’ll go keep an eye on Kuroki Suzu, just in case she decides to conspire with Gun God to set us up.”

He then hurried out after her.

At that moment, Kong Ruoruo asked, ”Cousin, why does An Dongye always have a problem with Kuroki Suzu?”

”An Dongye hates people from Sang Jing,” Ye Xiu said with a wry smile. He didn’t know why An Dongye detested them so much. He then asked, ”Do you three want to go for a massage?”

”No!” Qin Qing, Kong Ruoruo, and Chloe said in unison.

Qin Qing needed to cultivate her martial arts and also had remote work to deal with, leaving her with no time.

Kong Ruoruo was still thinking about the two sacks of Martial Arts Manuals that Ye Xiu had brought back.

Chloe had no say in the matter; she could only go if Ye Xiu and Qin Qing did.

”I’m not in the mood anyway.” Ye Xiu picked up the Bronze Sword and began to study it.

He didn’t recognize the sword, but the moment he saw it, he could feel an astonishing Sword Qi and Sword Intent contained within.

Furthermore, a rust-streaked Bronze Sword that could slice through iron as if it were mud was simply unscientific.

「The next day at noon.」

’Tony’ of the Vulture Assassination Group was disguised as a sanitation worker, sweeping the street outside a Qingfeng Road school.

As the lunch hour passed, the wail of ambulance sirens suddenly erupted from both ends of the road.

Tony watched as one ambulance after another raced into the school, only to speed out again moments later.

”The plan is a success!” Tony said into his walkie-talkie. He then rode off on the sanitation worker’s tricycle. Once he was far from the school, he quickly stripped off his uniform, hailed a taxi, and headed straight for his designated sniper position.

Smith and the other assassins were relieved that the first step of their plan had succeeded. All they had to do now was wait for Ye Xiu to appear at the hospital, and they could take their shot.

”What’s the deal with Ned? He’s been gone since yesterday,” Smith asked over the walkie-talkie. The assassins’ sniper positions were in different locations, so they could only communicate by radio.

”Ned is the Long Family’s spy, planted in the group to monitor us,” Salina said. ”He’s never been on the same page as us and often ignores orders. Who knows where he’s gone.”

”Ned is responsible for the exfiltration. He’d better not screw this up,” Tony added.

”Master, can you still only reach Ned by email?” Jacob asked.

”He replies to my emails. He said he’s already at the evacuation point as planned,” Smith responded.

”Let’s just execute the plan and not worry about him,” Salina said.

Smith snorted inwardly. He had formed the assassination group for a life-or-death showdown with Huang Quan. Ned, however, was not on the same page as him or the other members, and their coordination was nonexistent. The man had to be eliminated soon. Otherwise, if an error caused by Ned led to an unexpected outcome during the fight with Huang Quan, it would be too late for regrets.

Fifteen minutes later, Salina suddenly noticed a problem. ”Something’s not right, Master,” she said quickly. ”The distance from the Qingfeng Road school to the Civilian Hospital is only 2.42 kilometers. Why haven’t any ambulances arrived yet?”

Smith glanced at his watch. ”Dammit! The ambulances chose a different hospital.”

”This hospital is the closest one, and it was all the kindergarten children who were poisoned. There’s no reason for the school or the ambulances to choose a hospital that’s farther away,” Salina said.

”Who knows what they were thinking!” Smith exclaimed angrily. ”The plan has failed! Evacuate immediately, as planned!”

He then sent an email to ’Ned’: ”Plan failed. Proceed with our exfiltration as planned.”

After sending the email, Smith dismantled his sniper rifle with practiced speed, packed it into a case, and walked out of his hiding spot as if nothing had happened.

Just as he exited the building, a Mercedes-Benz RV happened to pull up to the entrance.

Smith glanced at the license plate; it was the one ’Ned’ had reported. He hurriedly opened the door and jumped in.

”Who are you?”

Just as he settled in, Smith noticed a mysterious person sitting in the RV wearing a duckbill cap, sunglasses, and a mask. His eyes narrowed in alarm.

”Darling, it’s me.”

The person took off the duckbill cap, mask, and sunglasses to reveal Ye Xiu’s grinning face. ”Surprised? Unexpected? Awesome, right?”

”Ye Xiu?” Smith cried out, hastily pulling a pistol from the back of his waistband and pointing it at Ye Xiu. ”You... how are you here?” he stammered in shock.
