Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 695, Submission to the State

Translator: Silavin

Warships were something Lu Fan had become quite envious of when he had previously travelled aboard the Andrei’s Family’s warship.

Unfortunately, these vessels could only be constructed by top Engineers, belonging to the category of items that money simply could not buy.

With the Ye Family’s strength and resources, they could indeed acquire warships, but the Western Border was located inland with no access to the sea. So, neither the Ye Family nor other Ancient Noble Families had any need for warships.

Without demand, these Ancient Noble Families had no intention of manufacturing warships.

Whether it was the Ye Family or the Murong Family, they all maintained their own teams of Engineers. However, compared to warships, these Engineers preferred researching Magic Crystal Cannons or Energy Barriers and such Engineered Items.

In terms of warships, they were extremely inexperienced. At most, some could build speedboats, but that was already pushing it.

Lu Fan’s Territory was situated on an isolated island at sea. Honestly speaking, he hoped he could possess a warship or two of his own.

If he owned a warship, when leaving Shadow Isle in the future, he could sail across the ocean with the girls, enjoying the sea breeze and doing some fishing. Now, wouldn’t that be delightful?

Cherry Blossom Country had essentially delivered a pillow just when Lu Fan was feeling drowsy.

The warship Lu Fan had been yearning for; they had delivered it right to his doorstep. Furthermore, this delivery did not come with just one, but a full dozen vessels!

Lu Fan did not actually need this many warships. A single one would suffice.

Having so many warships in his possession would be wasteful, so after some consideration, Lu Fan decided to submit them to the country.

Naturally, what would be submitted were those eleven Epic Grade warships.

As for the Legendary Grade one, Lu Fan naturally intended to keep it for himself as his personal ship.

Warships, being Engineered Items, could be stored in one’s Inventory.

Due to this world’s unique World Mechanics, even large Engineered Items like warships could be transformed into an item and stored in one’s Inventory, making the transportation of Engineered Items rather easy.

Lu Fan stored the Legendary Grade warship in Shadow Fortress’s warehouse. This warehouse had also been constructed by Engineers at Andrei’s request, essentially functioning as an enormous Inventory capable of accommodating tens of thousands of items.

Despite being a Legendary Grade warship, it only occupied a single slot without taking up too much of Lu Fan’s storage space.

As for the other eleven warships, Lu Fan directly stored them in his own Inventory, planning to contact Tu Jing to submit them.

After Lu Fan had collected all the warships, Jian Ying and the others had essentially finished cleaning up the battlefield.

Their gains from this were substantial. Be it equipment, medicines, materials, and items collected from the corpses, there were countless of them!

Moreover, these items were all of exceptionally High Grade. After all, among the invaders, the weakest were Third Profession Players, with dozens of them being Level 100 Players. Their accumulated wealth was imaginable.

Through a simple check of the inventory, Lu Fan discovered that while the seized items were not absurdly numerous, their value was simply incalculable. They were not inferior to the accumulated heritage of a Third Tier Ancient Noble Family!

In other words, purely through what these ‘generous beings’ had ‘delivered’, Lu Fan already possessed resources comparable to an Ancient Noble Family.

Moreover, some of these items were High Level Legendary Grade equipment that even Third Tier Ancient Noble Families lacked.

Many of these equipment could be used by Jian Ying and the others. They simply needed to apply a few No Level Requirement Enchantment Scrolls.

Lu Fan naturally would not be stingy, letting them choose freely.

As for No Level Requirement Enchantment Scrolls, whether sourcing from Du Yaqiu or Ye Wuxian, they would not be too difficult to obtain at this point.

It was truly difficult to imagine what kind of scene would play out when Jian Ying and the others each possessed one or two No Level Requirement Epic or even Legendary Grade equipment in future battles.

Even someone like Qin Qiu, a Mage, could probably club a Player with a Heavy Armour Type Profession of the same Level to death with a single strike!

After cataloguing all their gains, the Two Headed Dragon also informed Lu Fan that they, the Giant Dragons, would handle those corpses.

Those corpses would be directly incinerated with Dragon Breath, purifying the environment and allowing them to become nutrients for Shadow Isle’s flora. There was hardly a waste.

Thus, all traces of the invaders on Shadow Isle were essentially completely erased, as if they had never come at all.

Such a force that could easily overthrow a country had proven so utterly helpless before Shadow Isle’s Territory Defensive Measures.

At this moment, many people worldwide were still discussing what Cherry Blossom Country’s Four Patriarchs were intending to do by emerging so conspicuously.

Some politicians had even speculated that the Four Patriarchs’ target was Extremistis Country, causing considerable commotion there.

Unfortunately, they did not even realise that this group of elites from Cherry Blossom Country had been effortlessly swept away by Lu Fan.

No one even dared imagine that the Four Patriarchs, that had caused worldwide sensation, along with Kage Tenshi, were now dead without even ash remaining.

…

The next day, Dragon Capital University.

A Transport Array opened without warning above Dragon Capital University, greatly startling the University’s security personnel.

They had just prepared to sound the alarm to summon the University’s experts when they saw descending from the Transport Array a group of Dragon Country soldiers riding Griffins.

The Griffin Legion’s reputation was known by all, feared by all.

Particularly the leading figure, whose medal gleamed golden. It was unmistakably a Gold Wing!

A Griffin Legion Gold Wing held status no less than Dragon Capital City’s City Lord.

Who would dare obstruct such an important figure!?

Thus, this squad from the Griffin Legion entered as if into uninhabited territory. Upon arriving at Dragon Capital University, they flew directly towards the district with all the Villas.

At this time, Lu Fan was already waiting for these people outside Villa No. 2.

Early this morning, Lu Fan had contacted Tu Jing, informing him about how people from Cherry Blossom Country had attacked his Territory and their complete annihilation.

Regarding this, even Tu Jing, someone with great experience and composure, nearly fell from his chair in the Far North from shock.

After all, this group of invaders was so powerful that even if the Griffin Legion deployed all their men, they might not necessarily be able to stop them.

Yet, these people had been completely annihilated by Lu Fan. This was simply preposterous!

Although the matter sounded preposterous, Tu Jing also knew that Lu Fan was not someone who enjoyed making grand baseless claims.

Therefore, he believed Lu Fan’s words. After hearing Lu Fan’s thoughts, he understood that this phone call was meant to help facilitate the transfer of the eleven captured warships in exchange for Military Merits.
