Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 664, Please Look After Me From Now On

Seeing the seed stained with the Devouring Dragon King’s blood, the Life Dragon King was visibly stunned.

The other Giant Dragons were likewise affected.

They had never imagined that Lu Fan could actually deliver on a Night Terror Difficulty Mission.

Moreover, from beginning to end, Lu Fan had not mentioned this Mission at all, constantly discussing with them how to escape from the Valley of Life and help them settle down.

Yet in reality, the difficulty of a Night Terror Mission was something that even ordinary Giant Dragons could not complete!

“You completed a Night Terror Difficulty Mission!?” The Flame Dragon was utterly shocked, leaning in to carefully sniff the bloody scent on the seed, then becoming even more astonished.

“This is indeed the scent of the Devouring Dragon King, it can’t be faked!”

“Good Heavens, how did you manage to do this!?”

Lu Fan naturally could not say that the Devouring Dragon King had signed a contract with him and was currently lying in his Pet Sub-Space.

So, he had naturally prepared an  explanation.

“The Devouring Dragon King previously stole a Blade Armour Dragon King’s Dragon Egg. She later fought with a Hell Poison Dragon King and the Blade Armour Dragon King, suffering heavy injuries at the Western Border. I accidentally learned of this news and quickly went to find the severely wounded Devouring Dragon King and used my Third Profession Skill to kill her.”

Although this explanation sounded quite unbelievable, truthfully speaking, the situation at the time was more or less exactly like this.

The only difference was that Lu Fan had been just a hair’s breadth away from killing the Devouring Dragon King, but had only tricked her into signing a contract with him instead of actually managing to kill her.

Although the Giant Dragons present also found Lu Fan’s story to be unbelievable, it was a fact that Lu Fan held the Mission Item in his hands, so they had to believe it whether they wanted to or not.

In the Dragon Domain, Devouring Dragon Kings still had quite a fearsome reputation.

Such beings were something ordinary Giant Dragons could not afford to provoke. They could only unite together to drive them away.

No one would think that Lu Fan could obtain blood from a Devouring Dragon King even while she was alive.

The Divine Tree Seed that Lu Fan had produced had tremendously shocked the Giant Dragons. This was also the final trump card that Lu Fan could bring to bear.

“I don’t yet know what the Rewards for these Missions are, but I know they represent my sincerity. At the same time, if you’re willing to stay in my Territory, on this vast island, you can build nests wherever you please.”

“As for the island’s Map Resources, you can use them freely as well. Of course, there’s a spring here called the Fortune Glowing Spring, which I had mentioned earlier. The water from it contains considerable power and should be able to provide the Life Dragon King with quite a bit of energy.”

“I have only one requirement: we still need to occasionally soak in this spring water to increase our own Attributes. So, you can use the spring water freely, but you cannot drain it completely. Other than that, I have no other requirements.”

Speaking thus far, Lu Fan spread his hands. “What I can offer is only this much. I know that most of this is talking about what I’ve done so far for you. And in the long run, for building a place to stay, such things actually are not worth much. But I’ve laid down all that I can offer and stated my position. If you still want to change to a different place to live in, then that’s fine too.”

“I do know several important figures from our country and can introduce you to them. I believe they should be able to provide you with better environments and conditions. After all, our Dragon Country is a nation with great might and resources.”

Having finished speaking, Lu Fan said no more, leaving the choice to the Life Dragon King and the others.

Among these Giant Dragons, the one with authority was naturally the Life Dragon King.

Therefore, the final destination of these five Giant Dragons all depended on the Life Dragon King.

The Life Dragon King’s massive form slowly rotated, making her appear even more like an enormously huge tree.

“You’ve completed so many Missions, so what Reward do you actually want?”

This question did not answer Lu Fan’s previous words.

At the same time, she did not say what she actually intended to do, carrying a hint of tactful refusal.

Lu Fan’s heart had originally surged with disappointment, but suddenly he became enlightened, his face immediately showing a smile.

“The Reward I want is for all of you to stay in my Territory.”

The Life Dragon King’s laughter immediately transmitted through spiritual vibration. “Hehe… You Human, you’re really quite interesting and also very clever.”

“Then, for now and in the future, we’ll be troubling you. I hope that we all can get along pleasantly on this island.”

As the Life Dragon King’s words fell, Lu Fan saw that on his Mission Panel, the Night Terror Mission to kill the Devouring Dragon King had disappeared. In its place were the words ‘Mission Completed’.

Not only that, but on Lu Fan’s Territory Master Attribute Panel, under the Territory Monsters, appeared a dazzling golden name. ‘Life Dragon King – Root of Everything’.

This was a unique Territory Monster that would not respawn after death.

At the same time, all her Attributes were uniformly ‘???’, and Lu Fan could not see what her Attributes actually were or what Skills she possessed.

However, the Territory Management Panel showed that she was a Matriarchal Type Monster that could produce Baby Dragons upon meeting certain specific conditions.

This was truly explosive!

From now on, even if Lu Fan’s luck became extremely poor and he could never again claim Dragon Eggs from the Super Treasure Map System, he could still obtain new Pet Dragons through the Life Dragon King.

Although these Pet Dragons would all be Rootless Dragons and could not possibly be Dragon Kings, they were still ultimately Giant Dragons. Even ordinary Giant Dragons had enormous potential!

Even if Lu Fan did not take them as Pet Dragons, letting the young live here would allow them to grow into a powerful force in the future, ensuring the safety of Shadow Isle.

Also, if these Baby Dragons were sold, they could fetch astronomical prices. Their value could easily exchange for an entire First Tier Ancient Noble Family without any issue.

Of course, Lu Fan would naturally never sell these Baby Dragons. If he really did such a thing, the Life Dragon King would probably overturn Shadow Isle.

Regardless, the Life Dragon King had used her actual actions to express her decision. She was exchanging guardianship of Shadow Isle for residency rights on Shadow Isle.

At the same time, this could also count as a type of Reward. By settling here, the Life Dragon King had also saved herself the cost of giving out an actual material Reward.

For Lu Fan, completing a Night Terror Difficult Mission, being Rewarded with the Life Dragon King taking up residence on Shadow Isle was a tremendously profitable affair.

After all, one Life Dragon King was equivalent to four Adult Giant Dragons, plus countless Rootless Dragons that might appear in the future!

To him, such a Reward for going up against the Devouring Dragon King was totally worth it!
