Chapter 437: Twenty’s Analysis, the Curtain Falls on One Scene

Although Fern could calm down quickly, this ”Fraudster” was clearly also a rather unusual individual.

The other players and natives in the crowd obviously didnʼt possess the ability to settle their emotions so rapidly, still immersed in that shock.

They were all talking at once, chattering and discussing.

”This Glory Festival is really worth it!”

”Holy crap, we actually got to see a Rakshasa... I gotta go back and brag about this online for sure.”

”No idea whoʼs gonna win...”

”Whoever wins doesnʼt matter, the point is theyʼre gone now!”

”Looks like the Glory Festival will still proceed normally...”

Amidst the chaotic discussion, a seemingly ordinary Barbarian wounded soldier flashed a sharp gleam in his eyes.

”So there really is a Rakshasa. This dungeon is truly no simple matter.”
Then, this Barbarianʼs body slumped, as if his strength gave out and he fainted.

When the Barbarian opened his eyes again, his gaze held a trace of confusion.

”Strange, what happened?”

”Why am I standing here!”

He felt like he had lost a lot of memories.

Fortunately, Barbarians never cared much about such details, and many Barbarians had drinking habits;for them, ”memory loss” wasnʼt a particularly rare phenomenon either.

So, he quickly accepted reality.

”Probably the injury was too severe, my brain got affected too!”

Meanwhile, on another side of this dense forest, inside an underground cave, a delicate-featured young man opened his eyes and stroked the black cat in his arms.

”Didnʼt expect that coming to find that ʼMay Mayʼ guy, Iʼd run into such interesting business.”

”I really ought to thank him properly!”

This was naturally ʼTwenty,ʼ who had used an item to chase Lin Yu into this dungeon!

And just as Lin Yu had predicted, the dead player suspected to be from the ʼPsychological Societyʼ was precisely the one manipulated by Twenty.

The one manipulated by Twenty... wasnʼt just that one person.

It wasnʼt even just players!

At the Healing Station, aside from that ʼPsychological Societyʼ player, there was also a seemingly severely wounded Barbarian who had just been under Twentyʼs control.

This ability and the spell he previously used to create and enter Lin Yuʼs dreams were naturally of the same origin.

Both were ”Nightmare” spells from Night Valley.

Although there were many restrictions, once the spell took form, the effects were indeed not to be underestimated.

And this was precisely what troubled Twenty.

In this dungeon, there were many ”eyes” besides the dead player and that Barbarian.

Beasts were the most numerous, with some contestants and two players as well...

Some were under Twentyʼs ”deep control,” while others acted like sleepwalkers relying on instinct.

But regardless of which, Twenty had temporarily not found any trace of ʼMay May.ʼ

Although the little incident at the Healing Station was interesting, for Twenty, it offered no help with his main business!

”Really strange, where on earth is that guy hiding?”

”Given his skill level, unless heʼs deliberately hiding, itʼs impossible that thereʼs been no news or movement from him until now.”

Twenty pondered, feeling that his failure to find Lin Yu was somewhat abnormal.

Although it was only ”the first day,” even so...

Having absolutely no clues was just too strange!

This made Twenty canʼt help but think.

”If he really is deliberately hiding, why...”

”Thereʼs no reason in this dungeon for him to need to hide or conceal himself.”

”Thereʼs also no evidence suggesting heʼs ever been to the Black Marsh world.”

”Unless, he knows of my arrival and is hiding from me!”

It wasnʼt impossible. Twenty never thought the item for invading othersʼ dungeons was impossible to counter.

Experts with deep foundations all had various methods to know if someone was coming for them.

Although Lin Yu wasnʼt exactly an expert yet...

But in Twentyʼs view, treating ʼMay Mayʼ as an expert player in certain aspects was definitely not a mistake.

”If he detected my arrival, or detected someone was targeting him, hiding or making his whereabouts obscure would be reasonable.”

”This situation is easier to handle. No matter how hidden, as long as he still intends to clear the dungeon, I have nine days after all to slowly find him.”

This dungeonʼs duration was too long;over ten days was almost the upper limit for dungeon length!

What Twenty lacked the least was patience and the ability to observe details.

After all, he was also a ʼDetective.ʼ

And a ʼDetectiveʼ on the leaderboards at that!

And precisely because he was a ʼDetective,ʼ Twenty couldnʼt help but consider more, more comprehensive possibilities.

”What if he isnʼt hiding from me, but simply changed his identity...”

”Maybe Iʼve already seen and even contacted him, but due to his disguise, I havenʼt discovered it yet.”

After all...

Through investigation, Twenty had already discovered his profession wasnʼt ʼDoctorʼ!

At the very least, he had the ability to use multiple professions.

”If we consider this point, among the current players, just at the Healing Station, there are two very suspicious individuals.”

Twenty recalled Stillerʼs figure before him—that guy had his face covered the entire time.

Although his build was somewhat taller and thinner compared to his impression of the target, his clothing style was somewhat similar.

Physique, though hard to change, could be disguised with items.

Then there was that woman later with the bow and arrow, accompanied by a Rakshasa, also very suspicious.

Even though the gender didnʼt match, in Twentyʼs view, her mannerisms and gestures showed very faint gender awareness—at least, not quite matching the stereotypical impression of a woman.

And most importantly, Twenty was a ”player encyclopedia.”

As a ʼDetectiveʼ and a well-known player as a ”scheming consultant” and ”crime planner,” he remembered most of the player information he encountered.

Admittedly, there would be omissions, but at the ʼSecond Tierʼ level and above...

Twenty could remember at least seventy to eighty percent.

Yet, whether it was the leader of his own group or that woman calling herself ”Fern,” he had hardly heard of either.

The leading player, he had seen him take direct action several times;his strength was considerable.

And that ”Fern”... just the fact that she could hang out with a Rakshasa and remain unscathed was enough to speak volumes.

”Regardless, letʼs put these two on the suspect list first.”

”Of course... we canʼt rule out the possibility he disguised himself as an NPC either.”

Twenty pondered again.

”But whether itʼs disguise or hiding, the clues available for deduction right now are too few. Perhaps... I could use the ʼRakshasaʼ incident to set a trap and lure him out!”

”Later, Iʼll see if I can find traces of that Rakshasa again—he better not get killed so easily by the arbitrator.”

...

Meanwhile, the battle whose outcome everyone at the Healing Station was so concerned about had quietly ”ended” in the dense forest not far from the Healing Station.

Lin Yu, playing the ”Rakshasa” Moro, stopped and looked at the pursuing arbitrator, revealing a smile.

”Cut!”

”Excellent, Stiller—you have quite a talent for acting!”

Opposite him, the ”arbitrator” took off the beast skull mask on his head, revealing Stillerʼs helpless face.

”Boss, next time, could you at least assign me a role that requires wearing clothes, please?”

Being naked under everyoneʼs gaze for so long made Stiller feel extremely uncomfortable!

He had only existed for a little over ten years. Although he looked like an uncle, psychologically, in a sense, he was still a standard teenager!
