Death Game: Starting as a Trickster, Pretending to Be a God

Chapter 407: The Wonderful Use of a Corpse

The One-Shot Revolver only had one bullet, but aside from its ”guaranteed hit” property, it actually had another hidden advantage.

That was its considerable caliber and firepower.

Lin Yu still remembered the first time he used this thing to fire a shot;he had almost blown off half of Yu Longguoʼs head.

Xia Yue had been shot in the abdomen, but the amount of blood loss caused by that single bullet was enough for Xia Yue to bleed out and die within a few seconds.

Therefore, Lin Yu had no doubt that this gun could inflict effective damage even against hippos, elephants, or Tyrannosaurus rex.

Although the Blood Rakshasa were also ”humans”—they just had a collective identity disorder—the ”people” of the Black Marsh world were not comparable to Earthlings.

Switching to a small-caliber pistol might not have achieved the instant-kill effect.

But even after carefully aiming a large-caliber gun right between the eyebrows, Lin Yu still didnʼt take it for granted that the target was dead.

He threw the pistol from a distance to hit the fallen Blood Rakshasa, then waited until Stiller stepped forward and pulled out the Seeking Enemy Dagger before approaching himself.

Looking at the Blood Rakshasa lying on the ground with its eyes still wide open, Lin Yu slit its throat, tore open its clothes, and stabbed it in the heart for good measure.
Hannah, carrying Old Zheng, crawled out from Stillerʼs tactical belt.

Watching Lin Yuʼs actions, Old Zheng let out a long sigh and spoke, ”Tsk tsk tsk, kill but donʼt torture... are you a psychopath?”

”Iʼm not,” Lin Yu shook his head. ”Itʼs just that even though they are of the ʼhuman race,ʼ who knows if theyʼre the type that can still move after getting shot in the head.”

”What if they can move using their spinal cord or have a second heart?”

Lin Yu wiped the blood off on the otherʼs clothes and said calmly.

Hannah watched the blood gushing from the otherʼs throat and spoke happily, ”Ribbit! As expected of Director—Uncle Ka taught me that if you bleed wild land animals promptly after killing them, the meat wonʼt be too sour!”

Lin Yu was surprised. ”Huh, can it be eaten?”

If he remembered correctly, the dishes Hannah could currently make were three: Dish·Grilled Meat, Dish·Salad, and Dish·Stew.

”As long as itʼs meat, itʼs fine.”

Hannah said seriously.

Old Zheng quickly interjected, ”Hey, hey, didnʼt you say you wouldnʼt eat intelligent life?”

”My bottom line is not eating those that can talk.”

Lin Yuʼs tone was so natural and composed that even Old Zheng lost confidence.

”What the heck, this guy was clearly talking just now!”

”I heard it!”

Old Zheng questioned.

Lin Yu walked over and kicked the Blood Rakshasa on the ground.

”Hey, talk.”

The corpse didnʼt respond.

”See, it canʼt talk now, so itʼs edible.”

Lin Yu said, squatting down and starting to strip the Blood Rakshasaʼs clothes.

Old Zheng was stunned for a moment. ”Thatʼs how you calculate it?! Couldnʼt you just say you wonʼt eat it raw and be done with it?”

While Old Zheng was speaking, Lin Yu had already finished searching the body and stripping the clothes, leaving the other wearing only underpants, and beckoned Stiller over.

”Help me out, dispose of the corpse.”

Stiller walked over curiously. ”How to dispose of it?”

Lin Yu pointed at the Blood Rakshasa on the ground.

”Use your maximum strength to pull its two feet, and absolutely do not let go.”

Stiller did as instructed. A red light flashed across his combat suit, clearly activating some kind of ”Emotion Enhancement.”

Lin Yu grabbed the two hands of this Blood Rakshasa corpse and began to pull with force!

”Rip!”

Under Lin Yuʼs forceful pulling, the Blood Rakshasa was soon torn in two at the waist!

Entrails and blood flowed all over the ground.

Lin Yu let go and exhaled. ”Done!”

Watching this scene, Old Zheng finally breathed a sigh of relief.

”I really thought you were going to eat it!”

”Thankfully, youʼre just desecrating the corpse to vent your anger.”

Lin Yu picked up the clothes and started changing directly.

”Do I look like someone who eats people for no reason?”

Before Old Zheng could answer, Stiller, as if remembering something, spoke quietly.

”To be honest, quite a bit.”

Among the three summoned beings, only Hannah feebly defended Lin Yu.

”Ribbit! Actually... Director isnʼt as you imagine! Heʼs very kind—he even went to visit the mother and sister of a girl he killed before!”

After Hannah said this, Old Zheng fell even more silent.

A few seconds later, Old Zheng spoke.

”Seriously, maybe you should go see a psychiatrist. I know someone—Iʼll recommend one after we get out. I suspect youʼre a psychopath!”

Lin Yu took off his own clothes and threw them to Stiller.

”Our height and weight are similar, put them on—but donʼt take off the mask, it looks like an item anyway.”

He then put on the animal skin garments that originally belonged to the deceased Blood Rakshasa.

Wearing the oversized, blood-smelling animal skin coat and trousers, Lin Yu couldnʼt help but frown.

”Itʼs really filthy...”

But this was, after all, part of the performance, so Lin Yu endured it.

No matter what...

”This guy coming to us of his own accord saved me a lot of time.”

”Alright, Stiller, now itʼs time for us to split up.”

Lin Yu patted Stiller on the shoulder.

”From now on, you just need to move around wearing my clothes, and take these as well.”

Lin Yu also handed Stiller the Reusable Universal Healing Potion and Reusable Universal Buff Potion from the Item Integration Set, instructing, ”Remember to take the medicine if you get into a fight with someone or get injured.”

At the same time, Lin Yu also gave him the BBE-300, Safety Helmet (White), Bone Crusher, and Wise Oneʼs Active Brain.

”What, Iʼm going too?”

Old Zheng, who had been casually hung on Stillerʼs belt, expressed great shock.

”Because you were a ʼPlayerʼ before, you can simply teach him how to act like one, donʼt give the game away.”

”Anyway, after encountering other ʼPlayers,ʼ if youʼre unsure about anything, ask Old Zheng,” Lin Yu looked at Stiller, casually handing over his own irregular token numbered ”three hundred eighty-two” to Stiller. ”From now on, you start operating with the goal of obtaining a ʼWarrior Medalʼ—just remember two points.”

”First, your ʼProfessionʼ is ʼSoldierʼ.”

”Second... you were attacked by a four-armed monster. More precisely, you saw a red NPC being torn in two by it, and then it stomped on that guyʼs head and crushed it.”

As he spoke, Lin Yu stepped forward and also crushed the Blood Rakshasaʼs head.

Stiller was still somewhat puzzled. ”What?”

Looking at Stillerʼs somewhat understanding yet slightly confused eyes, Lin Yu nodded with satisfaction.

”Yes, this sense of confusion is very good... add a bit more fear and itʼll be even better.”

”You must show that kind of panicked, flustered look, that way your words will be more believable!”
