Death Game: Starting as a Trickster, Pretending to Be a God

Chapter 19: Trapped in Desperation!!!

The simultaneous appearance of Yu Longguo and Xu Xiumei was undoubtedly the worst possible scenario for Lin Yu!

After confirming the rule that ”humans” could kill ”werewolves,” Lin Yu had pinned all his hopes of winning the game on personally eliminating the werewolves!

In Lin Yuʼs original plan...

He never intended to confront Yu Longguo directly.

The ideal situation would be keeping Yu Longguo until the final meeting to vote him out.

After all, his ability was a fivefold physical enhancement!

Being a former soldier, he was undoubtedly skilled in various combat techniques.

Additionally, as part of the ”werewolf” faction, he likely possessed a ”werewolf weapon.”

Considering all these factors...

Yu Longguo was absolutely the most difficult to kill!
If there was even the slightest chance, Lin Yu wanted to avoid fighting him at all costs.

Meanwhile, Xu Xiumei, now armed with a ”pistol,” had become extremely dangerous.

The power of firearms should never be underestimated!

Though it only had one bullet, the ”guaranteed hit” effect...

Was practically equivalent to ”certain death.”

Even a leg wound would cause bleeding impossible to recover from naturally.

This game had no emergency rooms!

Lin Yu knew this all too well—after all, heʼd been sent to this game by a ”gunshot.”

He understood better than anyone the helplessness of being ”shot.”

But to win the game, eliminating either Xu Xiumei or Yu Longguo was almost mandatory.

Originally, Lin Yu had been weighing which one to ambush and kill.

Now...

With both appearing simultaneously, he didnʼt even have a choice!

Especially since Lin Yu had noticed one crucial detail...

Xu Xiumei and Yu Longguo had entered one after another, standing close together after coming in.

This suggested theyʼd established some kind of ”mutually trusting” alliance.

And the foundation of this ”trust”...

Was almost certainly their mutual confirmation as fellow werewolves!

Lin Yuʼs thoughts raced as he decided to strike first.

”Both of you must have discovered this gameʼs ʼtruthʼ by now, right?”

Xu Xiumei and Yu Longguo stood at the bedroom entrance.

Between them and Lin Yu with Chen Zhuo lay a double bed.

Xu Xiumei drew her gun.

An exquisitely crafted revolver with floral engravings on its wooden grip.

”Indeed. When I was alone, the Soldier tried to kill me... Fortunately, this made him reconsider.”

”And thanks to it making him reconsider, we both realized something.”

Soldier Yu Longguo grinned widely: ”Turns out there are more than two werewolves...”

”Humans are the outsiders here!”

Lin Yu nodded: ”Iʼve realized that too—after all, only Chen Zhuo voted against me yesterday.”

”Counting Xia Yue whom I killed, the only remaining human should be this chubby guy here!”

Lin Yu casually threw Chen Zhuo under the bus.

Chen Zhuo turned to stare at Lin Yu in disbelief, mouth agape: ”You—”

But Lin Yu ignored him, keeping his gaze fixed on Yu Longguo and Xu Xiumei.

Their expressions... werenʼt right!

Both Yu Longguo and Xu Xiumei regarded him with hostility and wariness.

He quietly drew the dagger from his waist, deliberately showing it to them.

This not only reinforced his argument but also boosted his self-defense capability.

Just then...

Another figure appeared peeking through the doorway.

”Hey, whyʼs everyone here? Quite the party!”

”I heard noise from far away—whatʼs going on?”

Yao Zhengyeʼs figure emerged.

Seeing four people gathered in the bedroom, he slowly entered.

Noticing Lin Yu standing beside Chen Zhuo, Yao Zhengye immediately started making meaningful facial expressions at Lin Yu while edging toward Xu Xiumei.

Lin Yu understood Yao Zhengyeʼs message.

He must have already killed Bao Liu.

Now, he wanted Lin Yu to ”double-team” with him—simultaneously attacking Chen Zhuo and Xu Xiumei.

Then... vote out Yu Longguo during the meeting.

Exactly as Lin Yu had previously suggested.

Unfortunately, Xu Xiumei also saw through Yao Zhengyeʼs intention.

The middle-aged woman raised her revolver again, aiming at Yao Zhengye.

”Easy there, Thief. Whatever youʼre planning... calm down.”

”Iʼm a werewolf like you.”

Yao Zhengye immediately raised his hands, looking utterly stunned by Xu Xiumeiʼs words.

”What do you mean, youʼre also a werewolf?”

Xu Xiumei nodded, repeating her conclusion: ”Yes, the outsiders in this game are humans—there are actually five werewolves.”

”Both Yu Longguo and I are werewolves... Believe it or not, just donʼt cause trouble now.”

Yu Longguo studied the bloodstains on Yao Zhengyeʼs chest with interest, asking gravely: ”You killed the Ruffian?”

Yao Zhengye nodded, then suddenly looked regretful: ”Shit! Detective Bro got it wrong! We didnʼt know there were five werewolves. On the first day, the Ruffian told me he was a wolf—but then I saw the Detective kill the Veterinarian on the second day. Something felt off, so I went to talk privately with the Detective... We concluded there were only two werewolves, meaning the Ruffian couldnʼt be one! So I ambushed and killed him!”

Yao Zhengye sighed but quickly composed himself.

”Whatever, itʼs done... So now the only human left is that Otaku, right? Kill him and itʼs over!”

As Yao Zhengye spoke, Chen Zhuo began trembling violently.

He realized heʼd become everyoneʼs target.

But unexpectedly, at this critical moment, Chen Zhuo didnʼt expose Lin Yu as human.

Instead, he mustered his courage and deliberately shouted: ”Fuck! So youʼre all werewolves... Five wolves against one human? How is this game even playable!”

”Forget it, just kill me if you want! Fuck this!”

Lin Yu felt a surge of gratitude toward Chen Zhuo.

Everyone in this game had a ”strong will to survive.”

So Chen Zhuo must have desperately wanted to live too.

Yet he chose to divert attention from Lin Yu.

However...

”Itʼs useless...”

Lin Yu sighed inwardly.

Just as expected, upon hearing Chen Zhuoʼs words, Yu Longguo sneered.

”Five werewolves? Wrong!”

”You still have a teammate, Otaku... The Detective behind you is your ally!”

”Heʼs not a werewolf at all!”

Yu Longguo spoke with absolute certainty.

Lin Yu felt helpless.

Indeed, heʼd noticed from Yu Longguo and Xu Xiumeiʼs expressions earlier...

These two were completely convinced he belonged to the human faction.

Now... he found himself in an extremely perilous predicament!
