Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

Su Xinhe looked at the backs of Lin Mo and Tang Yitong, hesitated for a moment, but still nodded: ”I guess I did have feelings for him before.”

”Really? You guys are really meant to be, aren’t you?” Wu Yuexin looked gossipy, ”From what you said, he’s quite an extraordinary person, so young and already making a name for himself. It’s impressive.”

Su Xinhe took a sip of her coffee, a faint smile on her lips, and then said, ”Yes, he once had a radiant aura. Even back then, I wasn’t good enough for him. It was because of him that I wasn’t interested in any of the guys who pursued me at Harvard.”

Wu Yuexin looked at Su Xinhe in surprise. From her tone, it seemed as if she was recounting past experiences. Earlier, she hadn’t noticed, but now she suddenly sensed a confidence emanating from her friend that only strong individuals possess.

”What about now?” Wu Yuexin asked, frowning.

Su Xinhe put down her coffee cup and shook her head, saying, ”He’s no longer the unattainable dream for me now. I have bigger aspirations. The higher a person stands, the more different scenery they see. If he’s mingling with the Tang Sect people, he must have provoked someone back in the country and had no choice but to come here.”

”We need three presidential suites,” Tang Yitong approached the front desk and spoke in fluent English.

”Ma’am, I’m sorry. The presidential suites on the entire floor have been booked by the gentleman earlier, so only regular rooms are available for you for now,” the concierge smiled.

Tang Yitong frowned, clenched her fists, and said angrily, ”Hmph, who would book an entire floor just for themselves?”

”Forget it, regular rooms will do,” Lin Mo said.

Tang Yitong had no choice but to book three regular rooms. That evening, Lin Mo originally planned to cultivate in his room, but couldn’t resist Tang Yitong’s request to go out, so he reluctantly agreed.

Las Vegas is best known for its casinos. Lin Mo, Tang Yitong, and Norman went to Caesar’s Casino, which had various gambling tools and offered free food and wine. The place was lavishly decorated, with well-dressed men and women mingling around. The casino was brightly lit, almost like daytime, with no clocks, allowing gamblers to lose track of time while engrossed in gambling. However, security guards and cameras were placed throughout the casino to prevent trouble or cheating, and the background of these large casinos was very deep, ensuring most people wouldn’t dare to cause trouble, thus ensuring the clients’ safety.

Tang Yitong and Norman exchanged chips to try their luck, while Lin Mo planned to wander around, as he figured he could probably win until the casino closed if he gambled seriously.

”Hey, ladies, how about letting me join you for a while?”

”Get lost.”

Lin Mo suddenly heard a familiar voice, turned his head, and paused for a moment when he saw two women with Huaxia features playing blackjack at a table.

”Su Xinhe?” Lin Mo furrowed his brow when he saw one of the women.

After their farewell in Seattle, Lin Mo hadn’t expected to run into her again in Las Vegas.

However, beside Su Xinhe, there were also a young Black man and a young White man, seemingly trying to chat them up.

”Miss, perhaps you don’t know who I am? My father is the president of the Las Vegas Gaming Association. I’m Dillon,” the White young man said with a proud expression.

Keep in mind, Las Vegas is best known for its gambling industry, and his father’s position as the president of the association was already very high.

Su Xinhe smiled and said, ”I told you to get lost, don’t you understand English?”

”Miss, you’re disrespecting me. Do you believe I can make sure you can’t leave today?” Dillon frowned, showing a harsh expression.

Lin Mo was just about to go over to help, but Su Xinhe, with a cold expression, said to him, ”If you know Master Billy, you’d better leave here now.”

Upon hearing Su Xinhe’s words, the White young man and the Black young man looked greatly alarmed, stuttering as they spoke, ”Are you Master Billy’s guest?”

”I told you to get lost,” Su Xinhe said disinterestedly.

The two hesitated for a moment and then slinked away.

Lin Mo was somewhat curious about who this Master Billy Su Xinhe mentioned was.

”Xinhe, who is Senior Billy? Why are they so scared?” Wu Yuexin asked curiously, frowning.

Su Xinhe said, ”Senior Billy’s family is from Las Vegas, and they own thirty percent of the business here.”

”Thirty percent of the business?” Wu Yuexin covered her small mouth, looking incredulous, ”Senior Billy was so low-key at school; I didn’t expect his family to be so powerful.”

Lin Mo had already walked up to them and said, ”Xinhe.”

”Are you here too?” Su Xinhe had actually noticed Lin Mo long ago but didn’t greet him.

”Hello, I’m Wu Yuexin,” Wu Yuexin straightforwardly extended her small hand.

”Lin Mo.”

Lin Mo lightly shook her hand and let go.

Su Xinhe looked at Lin Mo and simply suggested, ”Shall we talk?”

Lin Mo was taken aback for a moment, then nodded and sat with Su Xinhe on a sofa in the nearby lounge area.

”Xinhe, what exactly are you doing in the U.S.? And who is this Master Billy you mentioned earlier?” Lin Mo asked directly.

Although they had some unpleasant past, Lin Mo still regarded Su Xinhe as a friend and didn’t want to see her hurt.

Su Xinhe frowned slightly and said, ”What I’m doing in the U.S. isn’t your concern. Master Billy is my senior. But what are you doing in Las Vegas, and why are you hanging out with the Tang Sect people?”

”You know about the Tang Sect too?” Lin Mo had a vague feeling that Su Xinhe seemed to have come into contact with some unusual things. Su Xinhe, with a cool expression, said, ”Why shouldn’t I know? We’re old classmates, so let me remind you, it’s best to stay away from the Tang Sect people and not get involved with them. I know you know martial arts and are quite skilled, but the world is more complex than you think, and you can’t be invincible. Moreover, with your temperament, you’ll eventually cause trouble.”

”My temperament?” Lin Mo laughed wryly, ”Are you saying I don’t know how to bow my head?”

”You should understand the concept that the overly rigid break easily. Back then, you shone brightly in Shu Province, but that was years ago, and I’m no longer that naive little girl,” Su Xinhe’s tone turned somewhat stern.

”Is that so? I was indeed too sharp back then,” Lin Mo smiled calmly.

Years ago, he was like a sharp sword. Now, his heart is like the vast ocean, ready to embrace everything. Only such a Dao heart can carry him further—a true powerhouse’s heart.
