Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

The banquet was filled with many foreigners, with high noses and deep-set eyes, blond hair and blue eyes. Of course, there were also a majority of Huaxia people, as Huaxia people are now all over the world, with some countries having populations composed of more than fifty percent Huaxia people.

The banquet hall was brightly lit, with lights interweaving across the room.

”Mr. Huo, I’ve been waiting for you for some time. You are truly stunning today,”

Suddenly, a foreign man dressed in a suit with blond hair and blue eyes approached them, his gaze intensely fixed on Huo Nan.

”Mr. Alec, it’s a pleasure to see you again,” Huo Nan replied with a rigid smile, but a hint of disgust was hidden deep in her eyes. Lin Mo didn’t want to know about their relationship, so he simply took a glass of champagne and stood aside, when suddenly Song Min quietly approached him and whispered, ”This Alec is our competitor, and he also covets Mr. Huo’s beauty, hoping to have Mr. Huo as his girlfriend. However, this man has a bad character and has spoiled who knows how many good girls.”

Lin Mo frowned, wondering what Song Min meant by telling him this.

”Mr. Huo, perhaps you can consider the terms I’ve mentioned to you. If you agree to be my girlfriend, then as for the order, I can let your company have it,” Alec said with a shallow smile, displaying a Western gentleman’s demeanor, yet his eyes were filled with intense greed.

”Mr. Alec, I believe it’s better to compete fairly in business matters. Besides, I already have a boyfriend,” Huo Nan said with a blooming smile.

Lin Mo frowned, sensing an ominous feeling.

Sure enough, Alec’s gaze immediately turned to him. Among the three of them, he was the only man. If Huo Nan’s boyfriend wasn’t him, then who else could it be?

Alec’s gaze held a sharpness as he stared at Lin Mo, his face turning somewhat gloomy.

To be able to compete with Baoli Company for an order worth hundreds of millions indicated that Alec’s strength was not weak. Huo Nan deliberately drew fire onto Lin Mo, likely to make Alec back off, and possibly also wanting him to leave the company sooner.

Having lived for hundreds of years, Lin Mo’s thoughts were extremely keen; how could he not guess Huo Nan’s intentions?

But at Lin Mo’s level, any plots and schemes were like nothing; everything could be shattered with a single punch, and he rarely bothered to speculate on others’ thoughts.

”This weak yellow-skinned person is your boyfriend? Mrs. Huo, I’m sure you must be joking,” Alec said with a laugh, though his smile was already somewhat strained.

”Mr. Alec, please watch your language,” Huo Nan said, furrowing her elegant brows and speaking with a note of severity.

After all, the other party had not only insulted Lin Mo but also demeaned Huaxia people.

”I’m only speaking the truth. Moreover, if Mrs. Huo intends to reject me with such an excuse, I can assure you that Baoli Company won’t get the order. I have already reached an agreement with Sky Domain,” Alec said with confidence.

Hearing Alec’s words, both Huo Nan and Song Min’s expressions stiffened.

For this order, they had labored for half a year. If what Alec said was true, then not only would that half year’s effort have been in vain, but the company would also suffer a huge blow.

This was an outcome Huo Nan did not wish to see.

”And you, weakling, had better get out of Seattle, or I will make sure your rotting corpse ends up in a filthy ditch,” Alec suddenly threatened Lin Mo with a sharp gaze.

Lin Mo frowned, his gaze becoming focused.

Feeling Lin Mo’s gaze, Alec suddenly felt as if he had plunged into an ice cellar, shivering with cold.

”Bang!”

Alec suddenly flew out, hitting the Roman pillar behind him, and then rebounded to the ground, half of his face completely sunken in, bones shattered, a sight difficult to endure.

But Lin Mo had imbued his palm with Spiritual Energy, ensuring that Alec stayed conscious and suffered through the pain.

”Ah!”

Song Min’s wine glass slipped from her hand upon seeing this scene, shattering to pieces, spilling wine all over the floor.

Huo Nan too covered her mouth in shock, not having expected Lin Mo to actually strike Alec, and with such incredible force that it sent him flying.

The girls’ surprise and horror were not without reason.

This was a social gathering of the Chamber of Commerce, and Alec was a celebrity in Seattle, his family leading the pack in the city.

As for Baoli Company, although it was a big company in Seattle, it was nothing in the eyes of these people, especially since Baoli was an outsider Huaxia company with no roots in Seattle.

In the past, it was only through the beautiful CEO, Huo Nan, maneuvering through various relationships that Baoli Company managed to establish a footing in Seattle. Now that Lin Mo had beaten Alec to such a state, the Alec family would definitely not let this go.

Song Min opened her mouth, feeling like a fishbone was stuck in her throat, as things had spiraled beyond her control.

”Lin Mo, you…” Huo Nan widened her clear eyes as she stared at Lin Mo, the seemingly average man before her, as if enveloped in a layer of mist, making him indiscernible.

Lin Mo turned his head, looked at the two women and frowned, ”I don’t mind helping you, but I do mind being used for no reason.”

Moreover, Alec had insulted Huaxia, and Lin Mo had promised Fang Tangjing to protect Huaxia. How could he allow such a person to insult Huaxia lightly?

As he spoke, Lin Mo secretly sent a wave of spiritual power into Alec’s mind. Alec wouldn’t die immediately, but in three months he would wither mentally and physically, and by that time, no investigation would trace it back to him.

”The Alec family holds power over the Underground Forces; having hit him, the people of the Alec family will not let you go. You better leave Seattle quickly,” Huo Nan came back to her senses, her eyes misting with tears, even her tone carrying a hint of pleading.

Huo Nan bit her lip tightly, regretting letting Lin Mo pretend to be her boyfriend as the situation had spun out of her control.

”Just a minor family, I haven’t even noticed them,” Lin Mo said indifferently, his tone detached.

If someone else had said those words, it would surely have seemed like a boast, but coming from Lin Mo, both Song Min and Huo Nan felt he was merely stating something very ordinary.

At this moment, the commotion here had already disturbed the banquet.

Several guards dressed in black suits emerged, pulling out their guns and aiming directly at Lin Mo.

Song Min and Huo Nan were not only exceptionally beautiful, but also possessed incredible perseverance and talent in their studies and work. However, they were still girls and became somewhat flustered in the face of such a situation.

”Young Master Alec, what happened to you?” An elderly man came over, showing a shocked expression upon seeing the horrifically injured Alec.

This old man was a member of the Seattle Chamber of Commerce and naturally recognized Alec.

Alec’s half-sunken face made it impossible for him to speak; the pain was such that tears and snot flowed together. He could only point his finger at Lin Mo.
