Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 182: Chapter 181: Did She Scold You?

Of course, Phoebe Walker didn’t know that Maxwell Peary wanted to ruin her completely.

”CEO Peary, you may not be aware, but this newcomer, Nia Mitchell, is always doing poorly at work, often clowning around, and today, she even spilled coffee on me, causing burns.”

Phoebe chose to complain. After all, the incident had happened today, and Maxwell Peary already knew. She wanted to get it all out at once, as it would be hard to get such a rare opportunity again after this. Nia Mitchell, you better start packing your bags and leaving.

”Alan Morgan, Phoebe Walker is not suitable for the Secretary Department. Transfer her to another department. Nia Mitchell, you come in.”

After saying that, Maxwell Peary turned around and left. Maxwell Peary really disliked coming to the Secretary Department; it was full of all sorts of pungent smells. Even Rabina would be permeated with these smells if she spent too much time here. He disliked it even more now. Maybe he should make Nia Mitchell his Special Assistant too, to get her out of this damn place. Damn, what a good idea.

Seeing Maxwell Peary about to leave, Phoebe Walker was indignant; she was actually being transferred! She didn’t even know which department Alan Morgan was going to transfer her to, and she definitely didn’t want it.

”CEO...”

”Phoebe Walker, I advise you not to infuriate the CEO.”

Alan Morgan interrupted Phoebe Walker’s next move. The CEO asking him to transfer Phoebe today was already the greatest mercy shown to her. If she continued to be so unappreciative, no one would be able to save her.

”Alan Morgan, you shut your mouth! It’s none of your business what I want to do.”

Phoebe Walker angrily glared at Alan. She had already secretly decided to find CEO Peary after Nia Mitchell came out.

Meanwhile, Nia Mitchell, keeping her head down, obediently followed Maxwell Peary into the CEO Office.

In the vast Office Room, there was complete silence. Nia Mitchell kept her eyes on her toes. She prayed inwardly, hoping she wouldn’t get into trouble. She had already reflected on her actions; it was her fault for spilling the coffee, and she should have been more tolerant. But... oh well, what was done was done. At worst, she just wouldn’t do it again. Besides, he had already yelled at her so fiercely.

Maxwell Peary walked into the Office Room, turned, and sat in the chair behind his desk, observing Nia Mitchell. Seeing her subdued expression, even though he was angry, he couldn’t bring himself to vent it on her.

”Did she curse at you?” After a while, Maxwell Peary spoke up.

Nia Mitchell was still looking down, merely responding with a muffled ”mhm.”

”What did she curse at you?”

She said I seduced illicit men and even used hickeys to seduce the CEO. Could I really say that out loud?

Speaking of the hickey, Nia Mitchell hurriedly pulled her collar up higher. A wave of anger washed over her, and she snapped her head up.

”Uncle Peary, you went too far!”

”You knew my clothes had a low collar, yet you still kissed me during the lunch break! That was bad enough, but you even left such an embarrassing mark on me. How am I supposed to face my colleagues now?”

”How did I go too far this time?”

Maxwell Peary patiently made small talk with her, as if he had already forgotten what had just happened.

As soon as Nia Mitchell heard Maxwell Peary’s words, she took a couple of steps forward, ready to confront him about the hickey. But then she saw the cell phone smashed to pieces on the floor. Uh... Phoebe Walker had insulted him over the phone earlier; he must have been furious. Otherwise, the phone wouldn’t be so badly smashed... Well, Uncle Peary seems to be in a bad mood. Should I still confront him?
