Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 162: Chapter 161: Witness the Ferocity of Fiona Sutton

Nia Mitchell tensed up immediately, her face turning pale. She froze in place.

Even the typically blunt Fiona Sutton noticed her unease.

”Nia, what’s wrong?”

Nia Mitchell regained her composure, her pale lips attempting a weak smile.

”Nothing.”

She cast her gaze downwards, the hand holding her silverware trembling, struggling to pick up the food on her plate.

Had she heard wrong?

Uncle Peary had just said over the phone to his mother that, if she didn’t approve of her, he would get a divorce.

Thinking of Phoebe Harris, whom she had met that afternoon, Nia Mitchell’s face turned paler, and her usually rosy lips lost their color.

Nia Mitchell had initially considered tentatively telling Fiona Sutton that she had married a stranger.

Now, it seemed, there was no longer any need.

”Fiona, let’s go and have hotpot.”

Nia Mitchell suddenly lifted her head. Fiona Sutton was taken aback for a moment, then after a noticeable pause, she nodded.

Whenever Nia Mitchell was upset, she would go and have hotpot.

Moreover, she, a person who didn’t usually like spicy food, would go for extremely spicy hotpot.

Maxwell Peary was still on the phone. When he finished his call, Nia Mitchell and Fiona Sutton had already vanished.

「At the Hotpot Restaurant」

Smoke curled around, the distinctive fragrance of hotpot wafting through the air. This place was unlike the elegant tranquillity of Madgar Pavilion.

Amid noisy chatter, Nia Mitchell, using chopsticks, picked up a slice of beef, swirled it in the boiling, red hotpot broth, and popped it directly into her mouth.

She didn’t take even a single sip of her drink and continued with another slice, repeating the process.

”Nia, have something to drink. If you eat like this, you’ll end up with an upset stomach.”

Nia Mitchell paused, and tears suddenly welled up in her eyes.

”It’s too spicy.”

She explained with a forced smile, reaching for a tissue to wipe her tears.

Just then, Nia Mitchell’s mobile phone suddenly rang, and she paused again in the middle of eating.

”Answer the call.”

Nia Mitchell picked up her phone. Assuming it was Maxwell Peary calling, her heart sank at the sight of ”Hendry Hampton” displayed on the caller ID.

Seeing Nia Mitchell’s reaction, Fiona Sutton furrowed her brows.

”Is that asshole Hendry Hampton trying to contact you? If he wants to reconcile, you must not accept!”

Nia Mitchell nodded and answered the call.

”What do you want?”

”Nia Mitchell, you’ve got some nerve!”

Hendry Hampton was bursting with anger, standing in the hospital’s parking lot.

The car in front of him... well, that car was his.

A hole in one spot, a dent in another. The paint was chipped off here and scratched up there.

Damn it, he could live with that, but what the hell were those intestines and organs doing hanging off it?

Hendry Hampton’s face was darker than a stormy sky. He clenched his fists and slammed one hard against a nearby pillar, wishing he could storm over to Nia Mitchell that very instant.

”What are you rambling on about?”

Nia Mitchell was in a terrible mood and didn’t want to deal with his nonsense.

”Me rambling? Yeah, right, Nia Mitchell! I must have been fucking blind to fall for a bitch like you. Whenever I think of the times we were together, I fucking feel like throwing up!”

Nia Mitchell’s face grew darker. Just as she was about to ignore his ranting and hang up, Fiona Sutton snatched away the phone.

After listening for a while, Fiona Sutton exploded.

”Well then, throw up! If you have the guts, vomit out even last night’s dinner that’s already in your stomach!”

Fiona Sutton roared fiercely, her voice drowning out all the chatter in the hotpot restaurant.

”I, Fiona Sutton, always keep my word! If you’ve got guts, then come on over! Who’s afraid of who? I’ll beat you, you scumbag, until you don’t know which way is up! And whoever doesn’t show is a fucking coward!”
