Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1238: Chapter 25 Princess Seeks a Livelihood? [Subscribe to the Official Version]

That day, the streets of a certain slum on the lawless Planet Sanbuguan exploded with chaos.

You must know, they would never dare imagine that one day a large group of Auster Strong Ones, along with Military Officers, would come to this place.

Even more unimaginable to them was that within these streets, barren even by the standards of the whole of Planet Sanbuguan, a ’Princess’ was hidden!

”What’s going on? What are you all looking at? Why are there so many Auster Soldiers here?”

A man who looked like one of the Auster people pushed his way forward through the onlookers, crawling out from beneath the feet of an alien creature over three meters tall.

Then he saw the central figure of the incident.

”Isn’t that Xiao Ya? She’s the princess? The princess of the Auster Empire? You’re joking, I patronized her ’business’ just a few days ago, with her reputation of being visited by ten thousand...”

This man was hee-heeing and about to say something when his words suddenly caught in his throat.

After that, the man was split into two halves from the middle, his body fell to the ground, dead as dead can be.

The watching crowd immediately erupted into an uproar, retreating several steps away.

”Insulting my Auster Empire Imperial Princess warrants death,” declared a handsome, young Auster man coldly to the surrounding onlookers, longsword in hand.

In the middle of the street, Xiao Ya and her younger sister Little Xun were surrounded by a group of dozens of men and women of all ages, looking like Auster Empire military figures, as if they were stars circled by the moon.

Seeing what had unfolded nearby, an elderly man with gray hair took note, he glanced at Xiao Ya, then furrowed his brow and ordered a Subordinate beside him.

”Go, kill all the inhabitants of this slum. How can they spread word about the affairs of the Princess?”

”But Lord, it might be difficult to explain diplomatically,” the Subordinate said, somewhat troubled.

”I said go. I will speak to the administrator of this planet shortly. Their wish to form a nation, the Auster Empire has agreed to it,” the elder pronounced.

The Subordinate no longer spoke, retreating immediately, a flicker of murderous intent flashing in his eyes.

He approached an onlooking crowd nearby, his hand resting on the hilt of the longsword at his waist...

”All that effort to take the people away, why do it so excessively?”

Just as he was about to act, an indifferent voice reached the Subordinate’s ears!

”Who?”

The Subordinate was startled, then turned his gaze with a strange gleam toward the left.

On his left, stood a man with black hair, hands clasped behind his back.

This man wasn’t particularly handsome, but he was spirited, and most unique were his eyes—they seemed to be able to see through someone’s soul, causing an instinctive reverence in those who met his gaze.

”Who are you?” the Subordinate asked, now wary.

This disturbance here caught the attention of the Auster military formation nearby, especially the old man, who exchanged a look of surprise with another man beside him.

”This man has once saved my life. Can you let him go?” Xiao Ya, upon seeing the black-haired man stepping forward, exclaimed in shock, then pleaded with the people around her.

Seeing her react like this, the black-haired man nodded subtly to himself; it seems she had not forgotten him.

He was Jia Yan.

Earlier, when he spotted these Auster Empire Strong Ones descending upon the planet in search of someone, he had come to see what the commotion was about.

Jia Yan was not inclined to intervene or to expect the so-called Princess Xiao Ya to repay a debt of gratitude—Jia Yan had no interest in such things.

Not to say that Jia Yan didn’t want to find a backing so he could rise high; after all, he was a mere mortal. If right now a Galaxy Level power offered him some benefits, he would naturally be inclined to accept the favor.

But if it’s about the Auster Empire’s Princess, forget it. The Auster Empire wasn’t significant in his eyes.

”A lifesaver, is it? Forget it, let’s go. But hear this, all you residents, if any of you spread idle gossip about Princess Xiao Ya, you won’t meet a good end. There will be a representative from your planet’s management to offer you compensation later on. We shall part ways here.”

The elderly man hurriedly stepped forward and announced to the surroundings.

At the same time, his gaze towards Jia Yan harbored a hint of dread.

Of course, Jia Yan understood what he was dreading. Because the other was a Starry Sky level upper rank powerhouse, but even his strength was indiscernible to the High-order Expert of the Orion Arm. He even felt great pressure in the presence of Jia Yan; naturally, he would dread Jia Yan.

”But this Xiao Ya, she’s actually the Imperial Princess of the Auster Empire? Although I don’t know the hidden details, I can already imagine it’s a melodramatic palace drama.”

Jia Yan watched the departing Auster people, his steps unfaltering as he slowly walked back to his rented house.

”Poor little Xiaoya, nobody on this planet seems to care about her and her sister, and now she’s suddenly surfaced. There must have been a major upheaval within the Royal Family. And if that’s the case, I may have the opportunity to meet little Xiaoya a few more times...”

Jia Yan immediately made a decision, of course, this was just a vague thought; everything depended on what exactly had happened.

He didn’t have to wait long. On the third day on this planet, an article emerged in the media titled ’Struggle for Survival of the Auster Princess Sisters’—a packaged story!

In the newspapers, Xiaoya’s ’occupation’ was changed to that of a hourly worker. Though still poor, she had supposedly not lost her princess-like dignity.

And as for little Xun, she appeared in a different light, not taken away by the powers on this planet but rather depicted as a poor child who made many friends. The coverage even implied that, despite the hardships of life on this planet, its harmonious existence amidst various species was celebrated.

”They’ve done a good job with the spin—praising the princess, whitewashing her past and preventing the planet’s darker aspects from being exposed. They’ve really fabricated a good story.”

Sitting in his rented room, Jia Yan looked at the news in the newspaper and shook his head in disdain with a wry smile.

He had met her Lord and Kama; surely, she wasn’t the kind of girl they portrayed.

She was straightforward, after all. Yet it seemed that during her fall from grace she hadn’t done anything too despicable—or if she had, perhaps it had been concealed.

”Either way, the sisters have been whitewashed now, and the situation with the Auster Empire is also worth noting.”

In the newspaper, Jia Yan saw the current situation of the Auster Empire, which he had been most eager to learn about.

Since the military personnel themselves were speaking, there was some degree of credibility to it.

”So, the Empire’s Capital Star was attacked by a monster from the Biochemical Empire, most of the Royal Family is dead, even the Aus Emperor, and now not only are they fighting the Biochemical Empire, each region is busy setting up anyone with Royal Bloodline as the new emperor. And this group of military officers who claimed to be maintaining the legitimacy of the Royal Family came here to find Xiaoya and make her the new Empress?”

Jia Yan felt the Auster people really resembled certain aspects of Earth’s Hu Clan ancient times, especially in their political ways—literally an ancient Hu Clan reenactment.

The Empire is on the verge of collapse, yet they are busy struggling for power.

”Lord, our Princess would like to invite you over for a talk.”

Just as Jia Yan finished reading the newspaper, he heard a man with an Auster accent softly requesting to meet outside his rented room.

”Heh, I think it’s not Xiaoya who wants to see me, but rather your Auster military folks, right?”

Jia Yan cast a sardonic glance outside before standing up.

In truth, he was also curious to meet the higher-ups of the fleet—not for anything else, but to see the current state of the Auster Empire.

By now, Jia Yan had given up on the matter of the Auster Empire paying war reparations to Earth; he just wanted to see whether the Empire would fall. If it did, it would surely pose a major impact on Earth, given the proximity of the Auster Empire. It would be simple for the Biochemical Empire’s army to reach them.

Outside stood an old subordinate who wanted to kill the civilians, and after being stopped by Jia Yan the day before, he was a bit fearful of him.

His power was at the Heavenly Peak, and to the average inhabitants of the lawless planets, he was akin to a God. However, in the presence of Jia Yan, he felt utterly insignificant.

”Lord, please follow me,” the man hastily glanced at Jia Yan and didn’t dare to linger, flying ahead to lead the way.

Jia Yan floated up and followed behind the man.

Passing through dilapidated districts, startling the locals, they flew straight out of the city to a plain area outside of the city, which served as a temporary port for Auster Empire’s fleet.

On the ground were over a dozen Battleships, and Jia Yan understood there were about thirty more in Starry Sky space, the total force of the fleet.

The two of them flew to an outer Battleship, where the soldiers saluted the Sky-level Strong escorting him and also greeted Jia Yan respectfully.

Upon entering the airlock of the Battleship, Jia Yan was once again faced with an Auster military Battleship after a long time and couldn’t help but feel emotional.

Back on Grey-Yellow Star, he used to be terrified of these Battleships. But now, if he wanted to, he could destroy not just the few on the ground, but even those in Space, with a mere thought of Brainwave Power.

Reaching the door to the command cabin of the Battleship, the leading man pressed a bell-like button.

The door swung open widely.

Jia Yan saw a spacious interior, where many of the Strong Ones from the day before were present, along with Xiaoya. Her younger sister Xiao Xun, was playing with a group of children on another Battleship who had been similarly rescued.

”Sir Mo Ke, it’s an honor to have you grace our fleet with your presence,” said the elder as he rose, and with him, another Starry Sky level upper rank powerhouse got to his feet.

Both men, still unable to fathom Jia Yan’s strength, showed a hint of fear when confronting him.

To know, in the Auster Empire, a Starry Sky High-Order Expert was considered extremely powerful, only those few National-stabilizing strongman were more powerful than them. And here was a being who seemed on par with the national-stabilizing strongman.

No, perhaps even more powerful!

”I do not wish to waste time, speak now if you have something to say,”

Jia Yan glanced at Xiaoya, giving his former neighbor a nod of acknowledgment, then turned to the gathered Auster people, his attitude cold as he spoke.
