Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1224: Chapter 11 Challenge [First Update]

Daphne could only hear the respectful chanting coming up from the ground below the palace.

Her words of persuasion for Jia Yan halted abruptly, and her eyes bulged.

She couldn’t believe it.

”Are these... Strong Ones welcoming the Earth messenger?” Daphne wore a look of shock on her face.

”Should be.” Jia Yan sat cross-legged atop the Space Cabin, replying with a light smile.

”Are they really welcoming us? Lord, the Energy of your Empire behind you is simply too immense. So many Strong Ones have appeared; could they not all be at the Sky-high stage or above? I can’t even discern their Power.”

Daphne pressed her face against the glass of the Space Cabin in amazement, observing the throng of powerful beings below.

”Even the golden members of Ruolan Empire’s Royal Family? Impossible! There are so many of them!” Daphne’s face changed after a while.

As someone knowledgeable about the Ruolan Empire, she vividly understood the Royal Family’s status within the Empire. Not to mention a mere Ambassador, even a Royal from another equal empire visiting would not warrant such a reception from the Ruolan Royal Family. Showing such deference was beneath the dignity of an Empire as mighty as Ruolan.

Yet, what was she seeing now?

The massive number of Golden Frogs below was astonishing!

”Lord... Master! We, we must have made some mistake. How could we possibly receive such hospitality from the Ruolan Empire? They must have mistaken our Earth Civilization for another High-Level Civilization.” Daphne still couldn’t believe it.

She was terrified that in the next moment, once their true capabilities as an Earth power were exposed, both she and Jia Yan would be Devoured by the Strong Ones below. To think such enormous Golden Frogs, who might be at the Stellar Term, were present in such numbers—how could Jia Yan, a single Strong One, possibly stand a chance against them?!

But Jia Yan said nothing more, for at that moment, the Space Cabin had already reached the ground.

What Daphne found even more daunting was that the Space Cabin had stopped on a platform cleared by a group of Strong Ones who almost surrounded the cabin.

She felt like they were about to be attacked at any moment.

Unexpectedly, to Daphne’s surprise, amidst the Strong Ones, a golden Frog wearing a crown stepped forward and bowed deeply in front of the Space Cabin, reaching Jia Yan, who was seated on top.

”Lord Earth Envoy, the Emperor of the thirty-third generation of the Ruolan Empire greets you.”

This golden Frog then bowed to Daphne inside the cabin: ”And welcome to you, Lord Ambassador from Earth.”

”The Emperor of the Ruolan Empire?!”

Daphne nearly stopped breathing in that instant.

She felt foolish; all her wits and knowledge seemed to have been cast aside.

Because she couldn’t believe that this was the Emperor of the Ruolan Empire. An existence so powerful and influential, she had never fathomed she would encounter in her life.

That was an existence she had always seen mythologized in films back on Earth, a figure whose status was almost akin to that of a god.

Yet, now this godlike Emperor was bowing to her?

No, no, no! It was either an illusion, or the sky was falling.

Daphne felt her understanding of the Ruolan Empire collapsing; even if she had been against the Empire, she always regarded it as a colossal existence, especially the Royal Family, who were untouchable peak forces in her imagination.

But to her surprise, upon arrival at the Capital Star of the Ruolan Empire, was it actually the Emperor himself who came to bow?

”Heh, Your Majesty the Emperor, you’ve done well. This is the first Lord Ambassador from Earth to the Ruolan Empire. Have you already arranged her residence?”

Jia Yan, concealing his internal amusement, nevertheless maintained a stern expression as he questioned the surpassing Emperor of the Ruolan Empire.

”Yes, everything has been arranged. The residence is located in the western city at the former mansion of the General, who, ahem, unfortunately passed away during sparring with you, Emissary. I have since reclaimed the house and prepared it for the Lord Ambassador.”

The Emperor of the Ruolan Empire replied respectfully.

From the beginning, he never raised his head, especially when looking at Jia Yan, he hardly dared to make eye contact.

”Very well, this Lord Ambassador is Earth’s first representative to your Ruolan Empire, and she also speaks the language of the Ruolan Empire. I hope you will ensure her safety. If I find out she encounters any danger here... this Capital Star might as well disappear! Understood?” Jia Yan said, a hint of fierceness gleaming in his eyes.

When had the Emperor of Ruolan ever been threatened like this before? If it had been anyone else, he would have erupted in fury, but facing Jia Yan, he dared not!

”Yes, I understand,” the Emperor of Ruolan hastened to lower his head.

”Uh...” Daphne in the cabin finally started to recover her senses.

From the conversation between the two, she could tell that what the Emperor of Ruolan feared was not the supposed ’power’ behind Big Mosquito, but Big Mosquito himself?!

Is this possible?

Daphne looked at the Big Mosquito avatar still seated atop the Space Cabin, and finally, a hint of astonishment flickered across her face.

She had originally thought that with Big Mosquito disappearing for over a decade, his strength must have improved greatly. Daphne had even held him in high regard, but she did not expect that her high regard would still underestimate him!

Could it be that this Strong One, even without his True Body, had brought the entire Ru Lan Empire to heel?!

Daphne had not paid close attention before, but now she noticed that the Royal Palace of the Ru Lan Empire seemed to be under construction still, showing signs of having sustained some attack previously.

Then the answer was becoming clear!

This Big Mosquito’s avatar, by himself alone, managed to subdue an entire empire of the Ru Lan Empire, which she considered to be a bustling high-level civilization?!

How immensely powerful must he be now!

Daphne truly had to see Jia Yan in a new light, especially knowing that this being was just several short decades old, not even close to thirty years old.

”Alright, Daphne, come on out. I don’t recall you being shy. If you don’t come out, it would shame our Earth civilization.”

Just as Daphne was in her astonishment, Jia Yan’s voice reached her ears.

”Uh... okay.” Daphne, rightfully as a woman of good mental resilience, managed to quickly regain her composure after the initial shock.

She opened the door of the Space Cabin and stepped out.

”Greetings, my Lord.” The Great Emperor hurriedly stepped forward to salute Daphne, clearly just an early-stage Sky Level existence.

”My Great Emperor, you do me too much honor.” Daphne was visibly nervous about the standing of this being, and hurriedly responded.

Daphne wasn’t just wary of this being’s standing; she was incredibly shocked by his power. As an Entity at the Early Stage of Heavenly Level herself, she would rank among the Earth powers’ fleet, but in front of this Emperor, she felt that a mere glance could kill her.

It wasn’t just him—numerous Strong Ones around her, almost each of them could easily take her life.

”Humph, Father Your Majesty, for such a mere Sky Level being, you actually bow and scrape. You have utterly disgraced our Ru Lan Empire.”

At a moment when Daphne was somewhat at a loss, among these Strong Ones, a golden frog that appeared even larger than the Emperor of the Ru Lan Empire suddenly spoke up.

”Hmm?”

Beside Daphne, Jia Yan turned around unexpectedly to look at this being.

He was somewhat surprised; there actually existed those who dared to defy him within the Ru Lan Empire?

”So, that’s how it is. You must not have seen me the last time I visited? And you’re equivalent to a Mid-level peak of Star Space Strong One in the outside world; in this Starfield, you would rank just below that green old Monster.”

Jia Yan, sensing the strength of this Strong One, immediately understood why he dared to behave so rashly. It turned out he hadn’t seen him before, and moreover, his strength was quite terrifying even among this group of Ru Lan Empire Strong Ones.

Of course, to Jia Yan, that level of strength was still not enough.

”You, shut your mouth!” The Emperor of the Ru Lan Empire, hearing his Prince’s outright insulting comment about Daphne, changed his expression suddenly and scolded the Prince loudly.

”Hehe, should I shut my mouth? Maybe it should be you, dear Father Emperor, to shut your mouth. It seems like your imperial majesty has completely dissipated. From now on, the Ru Lan Empire should be handed over to me. You should step down. As for this Ambassador or whoever the envoy is, I’ll deal with them.”

The gigantic golden frog took steps forward, walking towards Jia Yan step by step.

Even as Jia Yan sat on top of the Space Cabin, he needed to look up at this Prince to see the other’s eyes.

”Scoundrel! Get out of here, don’t you provoke our valued guest into anger!” Frustrated and desperate, the Great Emperor of Ru Lan tried to block his powerful son, only to be brushed off easily and thrown aside by the Prince.

The enormous golden frog approached Jia Yan, then its huge golden eyes descended, looking down from above Jia Yan’s head.

”Emissary, you seem quite powerful, huh? So now, I challenge you. Do you dare accept?”

His power was too immense, waves of invincible Brainwave Power cascading down, enveloping not only Jia Yan but also seeping towards Daphne.

Daphne had never experienced such fearsome power. Although most of it was borne by Jia Yan, she still felt a chill throughout her body, almost trembling.

Her power was no match for a being at this level. Even Brainwave Power could cause her death.

However, just as Daphne was shocked by the Prince’s strength—

A wave of indifferent Brainwave Power gently spread out.

It cleared away the Brainwave Power of the Prince beside her, and even the immense atmosphere of Power in the air vanished.
