Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1222: Chapter 9 Master, I don’t mind squeezing in together【First Update】

Just as Daphne was feeling somewhat differently treated by Jia Yan, she saw him finish assigning tasks to everyone, then suddenly turned around, and told her that she actually had a different new task!

”My task?” Daphne, who initially thought she had nothing to do, lit up upon hearing this.

After some thought, she understood—Jia Yan’s current strength made him an existence she could never reach again. Would such an existence still bother to treat her differently?

Impossible.

”Correct, come with me.”

Jia Yan nodded, then headed straight for the exterior of the giant spaceship.

After a moment of stunned silence, Daphne hurriedly followed him.

”Where are we going?” Daphne asked, somewhat perplexed.

”Just follow me and you’ll see.”

Jia Yan simply jumped out of the spaceship’s hatch with Daphne, flying into the universe.

Dressed in a spacesuit, Daphne followed behind Jia Yan. She too was of Sky Level now, and could fly even without a spacesuit, though it would have been dangerous.

Seeing that Jia Yan’s avatar flew effortlessly through the vacuum, a hint of envy flickered in her eyes.

”Lord. Are we really just going to leave like this? What if they don’t listen to you and run away?” Daphne asked softly as she reached Jia Yan’s side.

”If they run, let them run.” Jia Yan said indifferently: ”If they do, they’ll be the ones to regret it in the future.”

”Oh.” Daphne really had many questions to ask Jia Yan, but now she was feeling more and more the gap in strength and status between them.

Especially when she wanted to play some small tricks, a mere glance from Jia Yan would make her realize that this ’assassin’ Lord seemed to have discovered her thoughts.

If he really was the Big Mosquito from those years ago, he must have gone through a lot to have matured this much, wouldn’t he?

Daphne pondered with some despondency.

She felt her intelligence, of which she was so proud, was useless before him, and she couldn’t help but smile bitterly.

Jia Yan was also reminiscing how much more juvenile and less mature he had been more than a decade ago. The woman he once thought was cunning now seemed pretty ordinary.

Together, the two flew to the outside of a tiny space cabin.

Daphne’s eyes widened: ”Lord, you chased after us in this kind of flying contraption?” She could hardly believe it, having assumed he was using some large battleship, but now it appeared to be just a tiny flyer.

”That’s right, but this can only accommodate one person. Get inside, I’ll stay outside.” Jia Yan said lightly.

”Uh, Master, actually, we can squeeze in together, I don’t mind. Or do you want to use this body to do something to me?...”

Daphne glanced at Jia Yan and saw that he too seemed to be in human form, her eyes sparkled seductively for a moment, and then she revealed a charming smile.

”Heh, you are indeed the Daphne I know,” Jia Yan suddenly chuckled.

The respect Daphne had for him just now made Jia Yan a bit uncomfortable, but now, seeing her resort to her little wiles and acting coy—the Daphne he remembered.

”But these tricks don’t work on me anymore, get in there.”

With a trace of annoyance, Jia Yan used a bit of Brainwave Power to stuff Daphne into the space cabin.

Then he sat cross-legged on the exterior of the space cabin, using a certain amount of power to control the activation buttons of the cabin.

Daphne, shoved into the space cabin by Jia Yan, still wanted to flirt with Jia Yan in jest, but in the next moment, her whole body suddenly lurched toward the seat!

You should know that the speed of this space cabin is extremely terrifying, being a vessel capable of exceeding the speed of light by countless times. When it suddenly started moving, even with an overload protection device, it still caused Daphne who is only of the Lower-Heaven Level to slump in her seat, unable to move!

She felt a bit stifled, especially seeing Jia Yan sitting outside the space cabin with a seemingly amused corner of his lips. She was even a bit angry.

Fortunately, Jia Yan didn’t really mean to hurt her; the acceleration of the space cabin wasn’t enough to injure Daphne.

”Master! That’s too much.”

Once the space cabin reached a certain speed, it finally stabilized, allowing Daphne to look resentfully at Jia Yan outside and huffed.

”Heh.” Jia Yan touched his nose and gave an awkward chuckle.

Since their meeting, Daphne never called Jia Yan ’assassin’, naturally knowing that Jia Yan’s assassin title was only given at Grey-Yellow Star, and before that, she only knew the name of this Big Mosquito as part of the ’Giant Mosquito clan.’

So, she didn’t address Jia Yan as ’assassin’ like the other crew members.

Fortunately, Daphne wasn’t really angry, just that her eyes shimmered brilliantly, especially when she saw a row of buttons in front of the space cabin—buttons she had never seen before, along with text she couldn’t understand, making her even more puzzled about where Jia Yan got this flyer.

However, what shocked her even more was something else.

The first thing was the speed of this flying device, which, although it hadn’t reached its maximum speed yet, was already far beyond any spaceship she had ridden before.

Then came the second point.

No matter how the flying device accelerated, this avatar of Jia Yan remained seated steadily outside of it, not being flung off in the slightest.

You should know that this speed might have reached tens of thousands of kilometers per second!

”This is just what he calls his avatar? So how powerful must his true body be now...”

Daphne’s beautiful eyes sparkled as she looked at Jia Yan outside.

Feeling uneasy under her gaze, Jia Yan was a bit uncomfortable.

”Alright, do you want to know what the new job I have arranged for you is?” Jia Yan, unable to withstand the beauty’s scrutiny, coughed and was the first to speak.

”Yes.” Daphne hurriedly nodded at the question.

Jia Yan gave her a look, amusedly thinking to himself, ”You once told me that you come from the Ru Lan Empire, right?”

Daphne was taken aback, then nodded: ”That’s right, I am a biochemist created through biotechnology by the Ru Lan Empire.”

She had nothing to hide; back then, Jia Yan knew far more secrets about her, and now she had nothing left that she would feel embarrassed for him to know.

”So, you still like that country’s culture, don’t you? Don’t be in a hurry to deny it; I’m not trying to mock you or anything. After all, you’ve liked everything about it since you were little. I remember you once said you like watching movies from the Ru Lan Empire. Am I right?”

Jia Yan turned his head to look at Daphne and asked.

Daphne initially wanted to deny it, as she had lost hope in that empire which she once greatly admired, particularly after the crushing of her dreams, she had even started to feel repelled by that empire.

But as Jia Yan directly brought it up, she immediately realized something.

”Oh?... I understand, Master. The new job you want me to do, is it related to the Ru Lan Empire?” Daphne, who had some wit, quickly grasped the concept of her new job type when Jia Yan kept mentioning the Ru Lan Empire.

But what she could never have anticipated was that Jia Yan’s next words would cause her face to change dramatically and nearly disbelief her own ears.

Originally, if Jia Yan were to send her to the Ru Lan Empire, she thought at most she would work undercover or something similar.

How could she possibly appear as a public figure?

But Jia Yan was looking at her with a bit of a smile and directly said something...

”That’s correct, your new job is to go to the Ru Lan Empire and serve as the Earth’s Imperial Ambassador to the Ru Lan Empire!”

”Imperial Ambassador to the Ru Lan Empire?!” Daphne exclaimed in shock.

She hastily said with some disbelief: ”Lord, you probably don’t know, but it’s not that simple to open an embassy in the Ru Lan Empire. Usually, only empires of equivalent status can open embassies in the capital of the Ru Lan Empire, whereas smaller interstellar civilizations can only have embassies on secondary planets. As for Earth...”

Daphne, as if afraid that Jia Yan would get angry, glanced at him, and then said, ”Even if you have wiped out half of the Ru Lan Empire’s combat carrier fleet, Earth’s power is still insufficient. I think it’s better to forget it. It might even provoke an attack from the Ru Lan Empire if you take me there, leading to danger.”

”Hehe.”

Jia Yan laughed again: ”Don’t worry, if you go with me, I assure you they won’t dare lay a hand on us.”

Hearing this, Daphne’s eyes lit up.

”Lord, you have been missing for so long, could it be that you’ve built relations with other empires? Right, with the help and mediation of other empires, maybe we can resolve past grievances with the Ru Lan Empire and get them to allow us to establish an embassy on a secondary planet.”

Daphne said with some excitement.

Of course, she was excited; as long as they could improve relations with the Ru Lan Empire, then perhaps the Ru Lan Empire would spare the tiny planet of Earth, and the relationship with the Auster Empire would also surely improve, thus resolving Earth’s crisis!

It seems that the Lord has his ways, he must have struck a relationship with another Star Empire. That must be why the Ru Lan Empire is willing to forgive Earth, right?

Daphne was somewhat invigorated. If that was the case, then her mission as Ambassador might indeed be real, especially since Jia Yan knew that she was familiar with the Ru Lan Empire.

If so, she had to do her best, show the good will of Earth in the Ru Lan Empire, endure any displeasure if needed, and firmly prevent them from harboring any intent to attack Earth.

”Help from another Star Empire?” Jia Yan heard Daphne’s conjecture and nearly burst into laughter as he shook his head.

Well, let her see for herself and she will understand.

Jia Yan continued to operate the Space Cabin nonchalantly.

Then in the Space Cabin, Daphne added, ”Lord, this flying device we’re in is really fast, probably about one-eighth of the speed of light now, right? Once it picks up speed and initiates Warp Speed Travel, it could even be faster than light, right? This way it would only take a dozen or so years to reach the Ru Lan Empire. So fast.”

Daphne was amazed by the speed at which the Space Cabin was traveling.

Watching her country-bumpkin reaction, Jia Yan helplessly shook his head and then activated the Space Jump Function of the Space Cabin...
