Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4265  The Truth Of Seraphim Blood Essence

Venerable Knight Lussandra narrowed her brows. Her lips parted behind her silky veil, but she didnʼt respond.

Davis sighed ever so lightly before he lifted his hand, a silvery-gray and crimson glow erupting within his fists as the space around him became heavy and rumbled with a destructive aura.

”If you donʼt talk, Iʼll start using chaos-destruction energy and end this quick, not giving you three any chances to seal me.”

He squinted his brows and unleashed killing intent.

Usually, he would end the battle as quickly as possible, as it wasnʼt his battle style to drag things out. He was usually battling people at a higher cultivation base, so the more time it dragged on, the more dangerous it would get for him because his energy capacity wouldnʼt be as high as the opponents he was facing.

That was one factor- and there were a lot of other factors, like enemy reinforcements making their way to the battlefield and orioles trying to take advantage of the mantis that hunts the cicada.

He was fifty percent sure this was the correct time for those three villains to strike if they planned to strike.

On one hand, he was waiting for them to show up, and on another, he was curious about the Venerable Knightʼs powers as they all possessed high-quality Law comprehension and specialties like Hollow Laws. If he could gain the slightest hint of insights, he would consider it a plus to his cultivation journey.

With a threat dropped on them, the Venerable Knights looked furious.

They could tell that he wasnʼt taking them seriously. The fact that the Divine Emperor of Death could use chaos-destruction energy together was absolutely insane. They knew the Celestial Transcendent did not even try to do something like that, as they knew the fusion of these two powers would result in the collapse of everything they knew there was.

It absolutely destroyed all their advantages. Their heavenly powers did not match up to the implosion of these two energies. They eradicated everything in their path. Flesh and soul didnʼt stand a chance. Not even space was spared, barely healing from the collapse.

His threat level in their mind broke their charts. They completely feared his potential right now, making them understand that they needed to sacrifice their avatars in order to kill him. However, even if killing him was possible, they wouldnʼt be able to seal him because his soul was perpetual and endless.

In the end, it was all in vain.

”The majority of the Heavenʼs Warriors from the Upper Realms came here with their true bodies. They need not die in a battle that is extremely difficult to win. Iʼll delay him by engaging in a conversation as he wants, so come up with a good plan to defeat him no matter what.”

Venerable Knight Lussandra sent a soul transmission to the other two Venerable Knights and opened her mouth.

”Indeed, a Seraphimʼs Blood Essence is enough to give a Heavenʼs Warrior the freedom of Will.”

”So it was true.” Davis blinked, not really expecting it to be true.

How can there be such a good resource that blocks the heavens? He only knew of Fallen Heaven, which was capable of such a thing.

He was of the idea that the Seraphim Blood Essence wasnʼt blocking it but going along with it and maintaining a stance that it would never go against it, which makes the heavens ignore the Will of the Seraphim and never influence them instead of ignoring and using them as much as it wanted with the phenomenon known as Heavenʼs Descent.

That was the phenomenon that made Clara go crazy and attack Divergents.

Still, he didnʼt know much about Seraphims, but he never heard of them being called evil, so he was of the idea that his thoughts were more or less true.

”However, it isnʼt something any person can take. The Seraphims are a unique existence- called the heavenʼs firstborn. Our entire history of transcendent cultivation method is something we studied and learned from them, allowing us to be closer to the heavens as much as possible. This is a blessing for the human race since without the heavens, we cannot stand against the ridiculously powerful races that this universe has given birth to.”

”Originally, the Seraphim Blood Essence was used to make Autarchs into Primarchs, but this was quickly squashed by the Celestial Transcendent when he banned it-”

”Ah, I know that.” Davis raised his hand and stopped her, ”Just let me know how much blood it would take for Heavenʼs Warriors to achieve freedom of Will. Surely, it couldnʼt just be a drop.”

”…”

Venerable Knight Lussandra frowned. She wanted to explain the whole history and buy time for the Heavenʼs Warriors with a lower cultivation base to escape, but it seemed like he wasnʼt giving her time.

”Iʼm not sure. I heard that it was about ten percent, and their cultivation doesnʼt matter.”

”I see.” Davis nodded.

This was in line with how he thought the Seraphim Blood Essence was maintaining an innate stance of nonviolence towards the heavens.

Venerable Knight Lussandra continued, ”With the peace treaty we have with the Seraphims, they donate blood essence to us every hundred thousand years while we also exchange numerous resources with them. It is difficult to obtain, and if you kill a Seraphim or drain their blood without their consent, it would be a capital offense enough to get the Heavenʼs Warriors on you, but you donʼt need to care about that since youʼre an Anarchic Divergent whom weʼre already after.”

”Thatʼs funny.” Davis chuckled, ”Youʼre way easier to talk to. Is it because of your physique that carries the blessings of the Seraphim Race?”

”Iʼm not sure what you mean by easier to talk to, but yes. I donʼt need the Seraphim Blood Essence to maintain free Will. I donʼt get affected by Heavenʼs Descent, which happens during tribulations and other unique phenomena. If I want to flee right now, I could totally do so, but I will not because I need to vanquish you for the sake of peace across the realms.”

”…”

Davis couldnʼt help but keep smiling at her. He wouldʼve totally kidnapped her and extracted her unique blood if he hadnʼt interacted with Fairy Runalise. Lussandraʼs body was a fleshly avatar, after all, which meant her blood was genuine and could also help Heavenʼs Warriors maintain free Will.

Unfortunately, Clara wasnʼt here, so he didnʼt feel the need to go as far as to commit that act.

Besides, the Celestial Transcendent also told him Clara had escaped the influence of the heavens, so he didnʼt think he needed this resource anymore, but he would sure like to have it as a backup in case Clara needed it for some reason.

ʼWait a minute… what if I give this blood to Fairy Runalise…?ʼ

Davis thought but then inwardly shook his head as he knew Venerable Knight Lussandra could trace back her blood and find Fairy Runaliseʼs betrayal. He still liked to keep that a secret if possible since she was his spy in the Heavenʼs Warriors Organizations.

Right now, she hadnʼt opened up to giving up information on Heavenʼs Warriors, but he was still thinking that she might lose faith in the heavens someday as he waged on fate.
