Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3972  Grinding Flesh And Blood

*Whoosh!~*

Davis was gone before Mingzhi and the others could even notice.

However, left behind Eldia and two Death Puppets who seemingly stared into the skies with their dull eyes.

Eldia blinked. She was thrown out before she was even aware. They were all startled before looking over the flying boat. Before they could even catch a glimpse of him, Autarch Helmiʼs hand was gone along with the formation she possessed.

The Heavenʼs Warriors all retreated from the central area, becoming alarmed.

Mingzhi stared at the scene, rejoicing Davis mightʼve gotten it. As she was expecting him to reappear on the flying ship and pose mightily, her brows squinted, and her expression sank.

”Ahaha! I canʼt believe we got him!” The other Level Five Autarch roared, laughing like a maniac.

In his hand, there was a formation core.

”I got him! We got him in the Twisting Inner Spacewarp Formation! Autarch Elluro will kill him any moment now!

”Elder Flaren, you-!”

Autarch Helmi flinched. She realized that she wasnʼt part of the plan. She was used as bait so that the Divine Emperor of Death would attack her, and the other Autarch would use that chance to pull him into the trapping formation.

She didnʼt think or was informed that Autarch Elluro Coldwing was already here, so it was obvious she was set up.

However, her anger only lasted for a moment, for she was a Heavenʼs Warrior. If she were to give her life for this mission, it would be nothing but an honor- or so she thought when she found herself blanking out.

It wasnʼt only her who blanked out. The other Level Five Autarch also fell to the ground.

”Autarch Helmi…?”

The Level One Autarch who informed her of the false delay of Autarch Elluro Coldwing narrowed his brows, feeling a vague sense of unease. The way the two Autarchs fell to the ground was highly suspicious, making him think he was in an illusion.

It was not only him. It instantly brought confusion to the battlefield.

”There…! Autarch Flaren pointed to that location in the air before he fell. Launch a barrage of attacks at that space!”

A Level Two Autarch pointed right toward the direction where Davisʼs flying boat was there.

The moment Mingzhi heard that she knew they had been had.

Instantly, hundreds of attacks were thrown in their direction. Terrifying blades of wind, furious blazes of fire, threatening pressure of space. Even devices that seemed to appear like cannons used to battle against magical beast tides appeared by Heavenʼs Warriorʼs side as they adjusted the direction and activated the offensive constructs.

The attacks were condensed and launched toward them, fire, wind, and other attributes shooting out like a cannon bolt.

Their aura seemed to be at the Level Six Empyrean Stage, appearing to be an overkill. However, the appearance of these constructs suddenly told Mingzhi and the others how prepared the Heavenʼs Warriors were to eliminate them.

*Whoosh!~*

Death Puppet Sirius abruptly jumped off the flying boat and spread his hands. A thick earthen barrier spread from his palms and stretched as far and wide as an ocean, appearing below the flying boat.

*Boom!~* *Boom!~* *Boom!~*

Hundreds of attacks fell on the earthen barrier, causing space to crack and explosions to repeatedly go off. It happened so fast that the Heavenʼs Warriors were unsure if their target got actually hit, but they were sure with all this destruction, at least one or two mustʼve died.

But amidst the explosion, a figure clad in lightning abruptly descended, crashing into the ground. A tremendous shockwave carrying golden lightning spread, arcing and ricocheting off the ground and each other as they struck hundreds of Heavenʼs Warriors.

”Ahhh!”

Terrified screams rang out. Some people who were close already exploded into a bloody mess. The cannons anchored to the ground got badly damaged and were unable to be used again. Some outright exploded, taking out the Heavenʼs Warriors, who were giving all their energy to operate them.

It was a massacre, killing at least two hundred Heavenʼs Warriors in an instant.

”Venerable Elder Tovolto!”

A Heavenʼs Warrior shouted. He screamed at the Death Puppet, who descended to the ground like a comet and destroyed the surroundings, lamenting that such a figure was now nothing more than a puppet who caused the death of fellow Heavenʼs Warriors.

His eyes turned bloodshot, fueling him with hatred against the Divine Emperor of Death.

”Ahhh! One day, I will avenge you, Venerable Elder! As a disciple of the Astral Spring League, I will-”

”Die!”

A dark silhouette abruptly shot past him. And with it along went his body, pulled and ground into a fleshly meat paste within the dark vortex that the figure carried along. He didnʼt even have time to scream as he crashed headfirst into the dark vortex and was devoured within, blood spraying out from head to toe like it was a spatial grinder.

The one who employed this kind of gruesome technique was none other than Mingzhi. She descended after Death Puppet Tovoltoʼs descent and began her assault. Her eyes glowed with a murderous intent. She pounced like a cat and spread out her hands, two dark vortexes emerging from her palms.

Wherever she went, her enemies got pulled into it and were ground into meat paste. It was not even for refinement. It was for pure destruction, containing a terrifying pressure that suppressed oneʼs movements, siphoned their energy, basically neutralizing their techniques, and finally ground them to death like they were thrown into a meat grinder.

”Twin Palm Devourer!~”

Mingzhi hissed, her eyes turning bloodshot as she didnʼt know where Davis went.

She killed over thirty Immortal Emperors and Sovereigns already, making her way to the place where Davis was, but numerous Heavenʼs Warriors were blocking her path!

Within two seconds, they all managed to recover and some shot towards her, intending to kill.

”Die!”

Level One Empyrean undulations surged as a white-robed man rushed towards her with his spear. He used a piercing technique, intending to stab her head to death.

However, Mingzhi brought her palms to her front. The two dark vortexes spinning rapidly abruptly settled into one, becoming stronger and more deadly. The spear— a real Low-Level Empyrean Grade Spear, stabbed into her devouring vortex.

The Heavenʼs Warriors smirked, knowing that his spear would pierce through a mere Level Three Immortal Emperorʼs attack even if they were a top-tier supreme genius.

”…!”

However, his guess was wrong. His spear pierced into the dark vortex but failed to pierce through. Instead, its tip curved inside, and the entire metal began twisting and churning. Instantly, he let off the handle, but the devouring power was heavy, and it sucked the energy he summoned to escape, causing him to be engulfed.

*Whizzz!~*

A tearing sound echoed, and blood splashed across the land before Mingzhi.

Pieces of flesh were thrown everywhere as she continued to fly across the land. She didnʼt even bat an eyelid for killing a Level One Autarch, a feat that a Level Nine Immortal Emperor was barely capable of, much less a mere Level Three Immortal Emperor.

The weaker Heavenʼs Warriors who intended to attack her from the sides were momentarily terrified, backing up. Despite having prepared for death, their subconsciousness certainly didnʼt want them to die a useless death.

However, there were still some Autarchs left.

Two Level Two Autarchs rushed towards Mingzhi. Both Autarchs were female, appearing extremely beautiful even with their faces hidden behind lovely veils. They didnʼt take out any weapons but seemed to possess musical instruments, one holding a flute and the other a zither.
