Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3832  Reaching The Border Town?

Davisʼs group arrived near the Earth Dragon Border Town faster than expected, thanks to the Concealment Talisman sparing them from more trouble. However, considering the prior incidents, they stayed vigilant for the whole time, so their minds were a bit exhausted.

Davis thought some rest was necessary to keep the group healthy. Otherwise, it might lead to taking bad decisions, as one could be easily provoked if their mood was bad.

But still, they were in a race against time, so they decided to rest during their space journey.

The whole point of them buying the flying ship was because it was capable of realm travel.

Because of this, they didnʼt need to enter the Border Town and go through official channels to register their identities or have someone register their identities to leave the realm. They strayed away from the Border Town by a few degrees and accessed a pirate town in a deserted region at the edge, thanks to the information collected by Threelotus in the Highnode Town.

The edges of the realm leading to other realms were always shielded by the realm owners using countless defensive formations, so it was crucial that they find a hole in that defense, which was usually occupied by secretly subsidized pirate towns as stealing and smuggling was always a booming business.

Davis had corruption to thank for this path. He was basically going to be a pirate for flying an unlicensed ship because his ship wasnʼt approved for realm travel by the officials.

The pirate town was defenseless. As for how the information collected by Threelotus went, it would be occasionally destroyed by the realm officials to put on a show.

Thanks to this, Davis was able to enter the pirate town with the flying ship without canceling the concealment, although they had to maintain an altitude high enough to not hit the buildings. However, he wasnʼt foolish enough to leave without collecting information on the other side of the realm.

He needed to know what lay ahead in the Earth Dragon Lower Realmʼs Border Town and the pirate town this pirate town was connected to, because that was most likely where they were going to make landfall.

With a group of three made up of him, Evelynn, and Shirley, they ventured out into the pirate town, hoping to gain information.

”Brother, would you like to buy my not-so interesting goods?”

One of the peddlers called out to him as they passed by, holding up necklaces and other dubious items in their hands.

Davis ignored him.

As they walked through the bustling market, vendors with all sorts of goods beckoned to them. The trio continued on, weaving their way through the colorful stalls, trying to ignore the persistent calls of the merchants selling their wares. Despite the distractions, they pressed on, determined to gather as much information as possible in a short amount of time as they heard the discussion and whispers amidst the chaotic atmosphere.

Their senses were keen enough to separate trash talk and peddling from what they wanted to hear.

But suddenly, Evelynn came to a stop at a stall.

”Whatʼs up? Find something interesting in the stall?”

Davis also stopped, asking Evelynn through soul transmission. He wasnʼt opposed to shopping if they could find some treasures.

”No, this person has the blood of a Three-Eyed Hex Chromatic Arachnid.”

”…!”

Davisʼs gaze flickered.

Hexena Xylusc, the Empress of the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Race, had said that her entire species were hunted down to extinction in the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy and had to resort to herself becoming an inheritance master and bet on the future of the inheritance winner but gave everything to Evelynn.

With that being the case, it was hard for people of the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid to survive.

Davis moved his head to look at the person Evelynn was talking about, even though she hadnʼt moved her head.

It was a woman.

Other than her veil, she wore a black robe and wore a headpiece that covered her forehead, possibly hiding the third eye. However, there was a youngster beside her who looked to be no more than fourteen years old. He currently sat on the ground and was refining talismans for practice or for sale, like a few other people did to put on a show.

Their cultivation bases were at the Early Immortal Emperor Stage and the Peak Immortal Foundation Stage, respectively. For the kid to have reached this level, Davis couldnʼt imagine how far he had been pushed. After all, it was only at sixteen years old that the Immortal Vessel or the Transcendent Orbital Wheel actually completed its manifestation, allowing a born immortal or transcendent to further cultivate.

”Does he have the same blood?”

Davis asked, causing Evelynn to shake her head before she paused, ”But they could be related.”

”…”

Hearing Evelynnʼs words, he nodded.

”I know you promised Empress Hexena Xylusc to protect her people if you ever chanced up on them, but weʼre also not out of the danger zone. I wonʼt restrict you from inviting them, but if you do so, Iʼll have their freedoms restricted like the other people we have in the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace until we find a safe place to settle.”

”Thank you~”

Evelynn didnʼt say much other than relaying her gratitude.

She knew they were a risk, as she didnʼt know these people. They could be spies for some official, for all she knew as it would be difficult to survive alone, but she didnʼt want to abandon them, as she could see the bleakness in their eyes.

Just as she took a step forward to them, she stopped as a certain piece of whisper fell in her mind through her senses.

”Did you hear? Apparently, the people known for being friends with that infamous Anarchic Divergent are being put to death in nine days. Itʼs been two days already.”

”Yes, yes. I have heard about this matter. Apparently, they are the leaders of their clans in that unknown world. Itʼs a pity, but who told them to make friends with an evil incarnate? Itʼs their fault for digging their own graves.”

”…”

Evelynn froze in her tracks. Her muscles stiffened as she turned to look at Davis. Within the confines of the hood blocking his facial features, she could clearly see the change in his expression.

It definitely wasnʼt good.
