Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3803  A Loose End

*Booom!~*

A cataclysmic collision occurred once again, sending furious shockwaves across the void dust land. Two silhouettes dashed out from the explosion, clashing in close range as they left thousands of cracks in space. Pillars of firestorm raged from the ground to the skies, searing and crackling with a terrifying intensity.

If Zenova Artoria hadnʼt suppressed her cultivation, the mini realm may have been in serious trouble.

However, her terrifying powers were equally disrupted by a spinning iridescent wheel and an iridescent spear filled with the otherworldly power of Reincarnation Laws.

Davis held the Spear of Damnation with one hand, swinging and deflecting threatening bolts of firestorm energy, and when a big firestorm vortex formed in front of him, he grabbed the iridescent spear with both hands and thrust, causing it to burst.

They left a trail of destruction in their wake, neither seeming to give up as they kept this up for more than a minute.

”Donʼt think you can defeat my Spear of Damnation because not only have I specifically trained this technique to counter heavenly Wills, but I have also practiced it more than ten thousand times, honing it to its extreme possible limit.”

Davis swung the Spear of Damnation and struck Zenova Artoriaʼs vortex. The intense convergence of fire and lightning pushed away its otherworldly nature, not allowing it to pierce through as it created a harrowing sound of doom.

”So? If we continue like this, itʼs obvious who will run out of energy first.”

Zenova Artoria giggled.

With the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pillʼs effects, her capacity was no different than an Empyreanʼs, allowing her to battle all day without breaking a sweat. However, it was different for Davis. Even though his physique tremendously increased his energy capacity, it still wasnʼt enough to reach the Empyrean level.

He would run out of energy first, no matter how they fought, considering he was constantly pouring reincarnation energy into the reincarnation wheel and Spear of Damnation to disallow them from shattering if they were to run out of energy against the terrifying firestorm attacks.

Still, that didnʼt mean Zenova Artoria was passive.

She constantly tried to gain an edge over him, casting separate attacks to fall on him.

Moving her hand to the side again, a crimson-black sphere formed within her palm, which she turned into terrifying centers of lightning bolts. She made more simultaneously, and they gathered above her head, aligning themselves around her as they began to glow with a destructive crimson-black light.

*Bang!!!~*

They generated an incredible force of firestorm bolt that struck Davis, but before it could reach him, he pulled back the Spear of Damnation and swung over, causing the three firestorm spheres to burst and significant cracks to appear in the iridescent spear.

However, the two of them didnʼt stop.

Zenova Artoria quickly unleashed the spherical bodies of condensed firestorm energy at him, causing them to explode right above his head before they could even touch him.

A column of black-crimson explosion shook the space.

It made Zenova Artoria smile as she felt like she got him, but her eyes abruptly narrowed, only to see a figure emerging out from the explosion and swinging the reincarnation spear at her.

She ducked, the tip of the iridescent spear barely missing her head. Her crimson eyes flashed with a cold light as she sensed a few strands of her lush black hair were cut, causing her to be irritated as she spun, crouched, and sent a striking back kick toward his face.

*Bzzz!~*

The reincarnation wheel appeared in between and spun crazily, stopping Zenova Artoriaʼs kick that burst out with extraordinary black-crimson lightning flames.

*Booom!~*

The resulting explosion sent Davis flying along with the reincarnation wheel, but while flying, Davis looked calm. He extended out his other hand and enclosed his fist as though grabbing something, making Zenova Artoriaʼs gaze flicker.

She abruptly felt a minor tug in her soul, but the overwhelming essence energy defense she adopted managed to shatter it.

Only after that did she touch her forehead and find a minute nick on it.

She seemed to have been pierced by the reincarnation spear, making her narrow her eyes despite it healing quickly.

”Now that I think about it, it was you who tugged trillions of souls in the First Haven World, no? Just what was that about? You had me scrambling for answers before I noticed it was you and figured it was probably just your powers going berserk.”

”…”

Davis didnʼt reply.

He shot towards her once again and threw the Spear of Damnation. It hurled toward her like a whistling arrow, except there was no sound. There were only strange reverberations that affected oneʼs soul.

It pierced through the air and clashed with Zenova Artoriaʼs firestorm palm.

A mini firestorm vortex burst out with flames and lightning intertwining and exploding like crackling snakes, allowing her to send the Spear of Damnation flying back while she retreated as though clearing away the impact from the attack. The iridescent spear cracked, finally shattering into a burst of iridescent motes of starlight that spread across the area.

”…”

Zenova Artoria felt something was strange.

Why did he abandon the spear? She knew he could make another, but why?

She sensed another technique coming.

And as she expected, Davis raised his hand. He inclined his head, looking at her through the web of his thumb and index finger as though sniping her.

*Badump!~*

Zenova Artoria felt a strange clench in her heart. Her eyes widened, and her entire figure burst into a raging fiery storm as she dashed towards Davis, her undulations massively growing more powerful.

”Sheʼs burning her blood essence!” Isabella looked shocked.

There was no need to go this far, right? However, she guessed Davis had something to do with it with how Zenova Artoria reacted.

”Sheʼs burning the last dregs of her King-Tier Blood Essence…” Lerezaʼs gaze flickered.

Her words shocked others even more.

Was Zenova Artoria planning to end this in one final move?

Indeed, Zenova Artoria was pissed that Davis tried to karmically capture her and cause her heart to burst open. She wasnʼt sure what kind of Laws he used, but she could sense that he used Karma Laws at the very least.

Therefore, she quickly came to the conclusion all she had to do was take him down first before she could be harmed.

This time, she directly summoned energy from her physique. There was no need for her to fuse since she could directly use firestorm energy. She gathered it in the center of her palms and spread her arms apart, causing innumerable black-crimson lightning arcs to dance throughout the skies and shower on the land.

She infused the King-Tier Blazing Thunderlight Kirinʼs Blood into her technique, abruptly causing the majestic manifestation of a kirin to appear behind her. At that moment, a tremendous amount of energy was poured into her technique, rapidly increasing its density.

She channeled the firestorm energy from the depths of her dantian, her eyes glowing with an annihilative crimson light.

The black-crimson firestorm vortex gathered between the center of her palm abruptly trembled as the technique reached a crescendo!

*Vzzzz!!!~*

A dense, compressed firestorm beam cut through the air, surging with intense lightning and heat. The terrifying beam rippled through space with a deafening roar, its sheer force causing the very fabric of space to quiver and shatter in droves.

”…!”

Davisʼs eyes were wide, but he seemed excited, meeting the attack head-on as he raised his hand and put the reincarnation wheel before him.

It spun crazily, causing the wheel to abruptly expand and cover the entirety of the firestorm beam that enlarged as it entered the distance and struck him with an incredible mightʼve very well crossed over fifteen levels higher!

Davis couldnʼt tell!

The firestorm beam instantly overwhelmed the reincarnation wheelʼs light despite it continuing to spin. For a moment, the evergrowing iridescent light was gone from the scene, replaced with the cataclysmic might of the firestorm energy.

It bathed the land in a dark, apocalyptic light.

However, neither of them gave up as they seemed to pour even more energy into their attacks.

But— the reincarnation wheel cracked first.

*Booom!~*

With a sudden, perhaps final explosive surge of iridescent energy, the reincarnation wheel collapsed, and the firestorm beam exploded into a huge hill of flames, and a lake of black-crimson lightning flowed around the area.

The shockwave from the collision sent Zenova Artoria skidding behind before she hurriedly regained her step and looked into the distance, trying to find Davis as she wondered if he managed to escape from her most powerful self-created technique.

Even a normal Divine Technique wouldnʼt hold a candle to it since it was a full-fledged technique from a Supreme Law like Firestorm laws.

Regardless, she couldnʼt see what was going on properly because of the chaotic space dispersing her senses.

Eventually, Zenova Artoria could see Davisʼs silhouette, making her eyes narrow before she finally saw his appearance.

The reincarnation wheel appeared half broken, perhaps even half-melted, but at the same time, his right hand was missing as it seemed to have evaporated into thin air. His arm was gone until the elbow, spurting out blood ever so lightly as he already seemed to be clenching the muscles at the severed end in order to stop the bleeding.
