Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3802  Reincarnation Clashes With Firestorm

Zenova Artoria had her breath taken away.

However, it was only for a moment before she regained her senses and smirked, becoming full of battle intent. Regardless of how he obtained this kind of strength, she wanted nothing more than to prove he still wasnʼt a match for her at the same level.

Her heart pounded, growling louder like the roaring heart of a beast as dark crimson flames soared behind and crimson-silver lightning crackled around her, destroying the surroundings as her energy began causing immense destruction.

”Wonderful… theyʼre almost equal in prowess at over thirteen levels higher…”

Evelynnʼs gaze flickered.

When she fought Zenova before she took the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill, the latterʼs base prowess was eleven levels higher. That alone brought immense headaches to them. But now, it seems like-

ʼShe lost her boon stemming from the Heavenly Ice Stasis Valley… also… her King-Tier aura is flickering as though it is going to regress…ʼ Evelynn thought.

”The King-Tier Blood she obtained from the Blazing Thunderlight Kirin Clan wasnʼt much to begin with.” Suddenly, Myriaʼs voice echoed.

”It is a miracle she even retained some blood upon her advancement to the Immortal Emperor Stage… I guess it has to do with how she had already been an Immortal Emperor once that her body didnʼt lose much. However, it is clear she lost her Heavenly Ice Stasis Valley boon upon consumption of the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill… Otherwise, her base prowess wouldʼve been fourteen levels higher…”

Myria instantly saw through what happened with Zenova Artoriaʼs cultivation.

”The Heavenly Ice Stasis Valley is ultimately an external boon.”

At this moment, Lereza also appeared, seemingly heavily interested.

”It would not remain with the cultivator under the tremendous increase of cultivation that reached the Empyrean Stage. However, Zenova Artoria hasnʼt reached such heights even though her prowess may have reached the Empyrean Stage since her prowess in the Immortal Emperor Stage should at least be twelve levels higher, considering her prowess at the suppressed Immortal King Stage is thirteen levels higher.”

”You mean to say that the Heavenly Ice Stasis Valley boon hasnʼt disappeared yet?”

”…” Lereza appeared delighted. Her idol was asking her a question to clarify things.

”That would be the case if the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pillʼs increase in prowess by four levels suppresses the boon in the Immortal King Stage but also compensates since its increase is only three levels higher in the Immortal Emperor Stage, allowing the boon to come out, ultimately making my hypothesis about her prowess the truth.”

”I see.” Myria nodded.

”Thirteen levels higher in the Immortal King Stage and twelve levels higher in Immortal Emperor Stage… how powerful…” Isabella sighed.

She was the only one who hadnʼt gone toe-to-toe with Zenova Artoria, and she wished she had actually fought her once.

*Bzzz!~*

In the distance, two destructive energies converged to form black-crimson annihilative heavenly firestorm energy.

The air crackled with tension as Davis and Zenova Artoria faced each other.

”Here I come…”

At this moment, Zenova Artoriaʼs voice echoed.

With a step forward, she dashed towards him at an incredible speed, leaving a trail of destructive energy that distorted and cracked space, quickly closing the distance before she waved her hand and attacked.

Davisʼs eyes were narrowed.

The iridescent black-white wheel behind him rotated frenziedly as it reached a feverous pitch. The wheelʼs illumination intensified, making him look like an otherworldly deity who descended to bring retribution to the peasants.

With a sudden motion, he waved his hand, causing the wheel to be launched towards Zenova as it left a trail of iridescent light.

*BOOOM!~*

The black-crimson vortex of firestorm energy clashed with the iridescent black-white reincarnation wheel, the two forces colliding to create a cataclysmic explosion of a near-colorless light. It dulled the world around them, the shockwaves rippling outward and distorting the fabric of space.

Reincarnation energy clashed with firestorm energy, both trying to acquire dominance over each other. However, the reincarnation wheel continued to spin through the black-crimson firestorm as though it was invulnerable, not even dimming in the slightest amidst the destructive roar of firestorm energy.

But the reincarnation wheel didnʼt seem to have the upper hand either, as the inexorable tide of reincarnation energy was continually being suppressed by the limitless intensity of the firestorm energy.

Zenova had her hands extended as she fought against the mounting pressure from Davis.

She couldnʼt believe how powerful he was, causing her eyes to flicker with a dangerous crimson light as she increased her prowess.

However, he threw that right back at her, adjusting accordingly.

”You still dare to hold back?”

Zenova Artoriaʼs cold voice cut through the air.

She moved her hand to the side and summoned firestorm energy anew, turning it into a bolt of firestorm energy, which she caught with her hand as it crackled violently within. A black crimson stick abruptly appeared in her other hand, which then curved at the ends to form a bow.

The space trembled as Zenova drew the black-crimson fiery bot against the bowstring, the energy concentrated with crackling with raw, unrestrained power.

Placing the firestorm bolt in the bow, she pulled it back, creating a terrifying arrow.

”Thunderous Deity Arrow~” her voice reverberated across the spatial lands.

Davisʼs expression hardened, realizing the gravity of the attack.

It had reached mid-fifteen levels higher, causing him to harrumph lightly as he threw his hand, a black-white spear appearing in his grasp. He grasped the Spear of Damnation and threw it at the Thunderous Deity Arrow— a technique that he had never heard of.

It wasnʼt in the Firestorm World Ode, at the very least, so he guessed it must be Zenova Artoriaʼs self-created technique.

However, it was almost as powerful as a Divine Technique!

*Booom!!!~*

Blinding dark light flashed throughout heaven and earth.

The Spear of Damnation and the Thunderous Deity Arrow collided, and the resulting explosion was cataclysmic, causing the entire area to burst into a huge explosion that sent shockwaves over shockwaves, causing the void dust land to be lifted and destroyed from the surface.

In the distance, Davis and Zenova Artoria appeared. The two seemed to have been staggered back into retreating a bit. However, the reincarnation wheel and the burst of firestorm vortex still kept clashing between them, refusing to give an inch.

They had their hands reached out, still controlling it as though to prove they were better than the other.

”Holy mountains…” Isabella gasped, ”Their prowess is amazing…”

Shirley laughed lightly, ”Well, we can also reach their prowess if we suppress our cultivation bases…”

”Perhaps a little…” She added with some hesitation on her face before quickly adding.

”Evelynn can absolutely do it… sheʼs extremely strong…”

”In a frontal clash?” Evelynn looked humble, ”Maybe a bit difficult, but from a distance and hex? Easy…”

Isabella and Shirley looked at each other, smiling brightly as they knew their big sister had received a boon from the Stairway of Regression. It worked like the Heavenly Ice Stasis Valleyʼs boon, increasing her prowess by one, even in the Immortal Emperor Stage, so they could tell she was as powerful as Zenova Artoria, if not more powerful.

Perhaps Zenova Artoria had also sensed it, and thatʼs why she decided to team up with her.

To be fair, Evelynn even had a chance of defeating Davis, who hadnʼt taken the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill, in a fair fight, so they were incredibly proud.

...

Evelynnʼs eyes flashed with a proud gaze as she looked at Davis battle Zenova Artoria without breaking a sweat.

She placed her hand before her big bosoms, rejoicing at the fact that he was this powerful even before taking the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill. She had this willful, zealous faith in him that he wouldnʼt lose to anyone at the same level even before taking the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill, so much less needed to be said about after he would take the pill.

Perhaps the increase in prowess may not be as big as theirs, but it would still be significant for someone who is already this strong.

It filled her with hope for the future.

Nonetheless, there was also someone who made her feel secure but complicated at the same time.

She turned to look at Myria, watching her white hair sway in the wind generated by the shockwaves of their battle.

No matter how she saw it, Myria and Davis looked like they were a match made in heaven, their souls perfectly complimenting each other. On the other hand, her powers were designated evil in the true immortal world, and her hex stood at odds with his reincarnation powers.

Sometimes, it made her feel out of place as the first wife.

However, she knew that wasnʼt the case with how he still treated her, full of love and care that he couldnʼt stop smiling and seemed to be in a great mood to treat Zenova Artoria without much hostility.

After all, Zenova Artoriaʼs careless or willful actions almost cost Founder Alstreim Windstormʼs life, and that incident caused a crack to form in their allied relationship, but now, he was treating her like a respected guest, even giving her a chance to obtain the Ruinbloom Cataclysmic Pear as long as she could exceed his expectations.

She felt that was extremely magnanimous of him and also placed importance on how important she was to him.

She smiled, walked towards Myria, and grabbed her hands as though they were close sisters.

”I assume he was with you all this time, so I hope I am not infringing on your romantic life with him since I am back.”

”Ah, no…”

Myria shook her head, firmly holding Evelynnʼs hands, ”The amount of time he spent with me wasnʼt that much different from others. Only— his avatar had been with me for a long time as we practiced Reincarnation Laws, hence increasing to Level Three Intent.”

”Thatʼs great~”

Evelynn smiled, turning to look at the battle again.

”Who do you think would win?”

”Do I even have to say?”

Myria also turned to look at the battle, her eyes narrowing with expectations.
