Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3814  A New Destination?

Ellia smilingly turned to look at Davis, her expression full of delight.

”Back then, when Myria was chased, she descended through a spatial node and found herself in the far reaches of the Azure Tree Lower Realm. You know— that Azure Tree girl who cleared the Fifth Hidden Pagoda? The Azure Tree Lower Realm would actually be her home realm.”

Everyoneʼs gaze flickered, recalling seeing such a person in the Candidacy.

”When we chanced upon it, we didnʼt even know it was undiscovered and felt like it already had a ruler. Besides, that bastard would soon be on her tail, so we couldnʼt possibly settle nearby and chose to escape. Later when we descended to a town in the Azure Tree Lower Realm, we found out it was a new Minor Realm. Only Immortal Kings could bind a Minor Realmʼs Core and become its ruler but that doesnʼt mean the ruler canʼt advance, so as they advance, the prowess also stays with them, cementing their role as the ruler of the realm. When they finally become an Empyrean, even if they were average, they would be able to battle two levels higher and that would make them nearly unbeatable in this Third Layer.”

Elliaʼs voice turned excited as she spoke, ”So if we manage to bind that Minor Realm, then you would have even more power!”

”…!”

Everyone looked excited about that prospect.

Even Davis was moved but he could only sigh, ”Whatʼs the point of an Anarchic Divergent ruling a Minor Realm even if it is for gaining power? I would just be quickly slaughtered by a crusade formed to target me.”

”Besides, will the core even accept me? If it accepts me, will the Minor Realm become dangerous to live in because of my anarchic nature? After all, my presence can bring a spacequake and other calamities, not to mention the realm could be destroyed by the heavens.”

Davis didnʼt speak about the Divine Punishment Tribulation as it was karmic burdensome but he was cautious on another note, knowing that these realms were heaven-bestowed and making contact with them would prove to be dangerous or even useless.

There were numerous theories stating that realms were celestial bodies birthed by the heavens to host numerous lives, so if a cancer like him took control, there would surely be retaliation from both the people and the heavens. It was a part of how people worshipped the heavens in each and every action they took in their lives like marriage, celebrating numerous festivals and engaging in rituals to thank the heavens.

Disregarding public anger or even hatred, he didnʼt know if the cores were directly connected to the heavens.

After all, he knew that the Heavenly Tribulations actually allowed the rulers to overcome their tribulations with the help of the Realmʼs might. That is one of the major reasons why every ruling candidate in a major power would fight tooth and nail to gain the position of ruler of a realm.

Nonetheless, this meant that the Realm Cores were more or less approved by the heavens at the very least.

He was sure Myria and Ellia would be aware of it, so why were they suggesting it?

No, it was only Ellia who suggested it.

He was glad she put him on a pedestal but he didnʼt think he could bind the core of a Minor Realm or any Realm and live to tell the tale.

”Indeed.” Ellia answered, ”There has never been a precedent of a Divergent managing to bind a Realm Core. At least, I havenʼt heard of it but I also know Anarchic Divergents of your level wouldnʼt be able to breathe in heaven and earth energy, forcing you to consume through other methods like needing to eat constantly like a mortal in order to maintain energy.”

”However, you managed to thwart that problem easily with your Enigmatic Heart Laws. I believe you could overpower the Realm Coreʼs rejection as well.”

”…”

Davis heard Elliaʼs voice seething with confidence in him, causing him to chuckle.

”Even if I could, it is too dangerous for me to be openly out there. People would go as far as to destroy the realm and we canʼt reject the possibility of the heavens getting mad. In any case, as Myria said, that Minor Realm wouldʼve already come under someoneʼs rule. If it does happen to be still undiscovered, then itʼs better for a non-Divergent among us to bind it.”

”Right.” Myria agreed.

She didnʼt think Divergents binding them would be a good idea.

”Mhm~~~”

However, Ellia still pouted, ”You can overcome anything, I say~”

She complained, causing the others to laugh at her cuteness.

They also wished that their man could bind a realm and become a ruler but that simply wasnʼt happening.

”Donʼt worry. In the end, weʼll bring down all the Greater Realms and take them for ourselves!” Mingzhi clamored, ”We, the Davis Family shall rule the universe sooner or later!”

”Ahaha!~”

She raised her hands up into the sky and cheered, causing the others to laugh again.

Everyone smiled.

They had a good time at the banquet, saying stupid things and having fun.

Yilla even drank some wine and shared it with the others who were curious.

He didnʼt stop them since it wasnʼt harmful and would even provide a boost to their cultivation. On the other hand, he didnʼt drink wine. After all, not drinking wine was something he decided for himself to not lose sanity at any point of the day in his life back from the time when he was Tian Long.

At that time, he was an unstable teenager looking to kill anyone in sight who was the slightest bit annoying to him after escaping from Mo Wuming, so he never drank or got to a point where he wanted to dull his mind.

Fortunately, he managed to not take part in any addiction through sheer determination and that formed into a habit and even prejudice.

However, the cultivation world was different.

Every one of his brothers drank wine. Even women would drink wine as long as it wasnʼt a yang attributed wine or a pure yin wine that would boost their libido instead.

Today, he learned some of his women didnʼt drink out of respect for him, so he told them to no longer hold back but sip in smaller amounts since they were still in a dangerous situation with everything still said. Some who had never tried also drank some, their cheeks becoming more flushed.

However, a minority didnʼt drink as they also made similar vows as Davis in their childhood or some families simply didnʼt have that practice.

As a Saintess, it seems Myria never drank either.

After everything was over, they cleansed the alcohol in their blood with their energy and became clear-headed, realizing that they may have slightly been rude and even seductive.

They were throwing glances and making moves at Davis, only for him to reject each one in an apologetic fashion.

”Panqa, Lanqua, Shea, Aila and Eldia.”

Davis spoke in a solemn voice, ”Iʼm reserving the four diluted Gilded Realm Ascendant Pills for future use but if you want them no matter what, donʼt hesitate to ask.”

”…”
