Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3809  Absorbing The Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill

”…”

Davis blinked at Tia pressing her lips onto him without moving or prying into his lips.

That was such an awkward kiss that he didnʼt know what to say but he could feel her intense emotions behind that kiss that would take no for an answer.

He grabbed her shoulders, moved her back and looked into her purple eyes that were moist. She bit her lips, waiting for an answer as though it concerned her own fate, making him inwardly sigh.

”Tia, are you living your life or someone elseʼs life?”

Davis asked with a gentle expression on his face.

Tia shook.

She couldnʼt refute that many of her actions stemmed from wanting to prevent the regrets in the storybook but they were still her wishes and also their wishes, so she took a deep breath and answered.

”Iʼm living this life so it doesnʼt turn out to be that other life.”

”…”

Davisʼs lips parted, starting at her with some incredulity as he heard her soft, hopeful voice.

Her brought her closer and embraced her, caressing her head to soothe her emotions.

”I understand you already consider them mine. I will do my best to make you happy as your man.”

”Mhm~”

Tia hummed.

She wasnʼt satisfied with the answer but she knew she couldnʼt force it as well. She secretly decided the first thing she was going to do upon finding a hint of Jade and Ivyʼs location was she was going to bring them back.

”However, if you do anything that influences their decisions such as forcefully bringing them back and giving them false hope, then I will vehemently reject them.”

”What-!”

Tia flinched in Davisʼs embrace, raising her head to look at him.

She glared at him, looking aggrieved. However, she saw Davis smile.

”Just kidding. However, I know what youʼre thinking, so it would be better if you stayed put about this matter. Understand? Iʼm not trying to burn a bridge here but keeping my sanity afloat under the threat of extermination while trying to please everyone of your sisters so that they donʼt feel lonely.”

”…”

Tiaʼs expression sank as though she had just realized something, causing her to lower her head.

She realized she may have been okay with vouching for Jade Aurora and Ivy Aries at the cost of remaining alone for a long period but the rest of her sisters were still pining for him, wanting to be with him every single moment.

Stella had created an entire mini-realm for them to reside and it was a hot topic among them where she might ask Davis to impregnate her because she was apparently in her third cycle but it still hadnʼt happened.

Even Aila hadnʼt gotten his love at the moment and she was a Celestial Fairy who would make any man go wild on her.

It was too much for her to ask him to focus on other women when in this life they hadnʼt cemented much of their relationship, especially when they were still under the threat of extermination.

She wiped her tears before she raised her head and shot a wide smile at him.

”Sorry… I was being… bratty… acting spoiled…”

”No.” Davis raised his hand and placed his hand on her cheek, caressing her.

”Itʼs fine as long as you understand, Tia.”

”Mhm~”

Tia nodded, smiling with relief.

She found it admirable that he was always quick to forgive as though he couldnʼt bear them being sad.

However, she thought it was also good. If she hadnʼt exposed her sad emotions, then he mightʼve never explained in detail to her.

”Muah~*

She placed a loud kiss on his cheek and left skipping like a little girl.

Davis chuckled lightly as he watched her leave before he slapped his thighs and stood up.

ʼAlright, itʼs time to swallow the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill…ʼ

With the realm having stabilized, the chances that there would be energy dispersing outside would be very less.

He would receive the World Masterʼs karmic burden but that shouldnʼt pose a problem unless he brought down a tribulation.

Quickly, he found himself a mountain made up of void dust in the distance and sat on the peak. He was a few hundred thousand kilometers away from the others.

This way, even if something untoward happened, they would not be dragged into or disturbed.

The only problem was trying to control his energy in order to not break into the Immortal Emperor Stage. After all, he was already at the peak in all three cultivations, so a slight mistake would end up launching him into the Immortal Emperor Stage and consequently bring down a tribulation.

On the other hand, suppressing all that energy might cause constipation in the meridians, making it difficult for him to use all that dense energy but fortunately, he had a chaotic-tempered body that was much more durable.

Nonetheless, this was a risk he was willing to take since Nyoran had already come back yesterday from her exploration of the Nether Dimension.

This was the fifth day, so they could escape into the Nether Dimension if they pleased. Only— it wasnʼt exactly safe there either but certainly more survivable as long as they kept their energies concealed and their auras masked in Nyoranʼs nether aura.

Like Zenova Artoria having developed a technique capable of faking transcendent aura, they were having Nyoran huff out tons of nether energy and making armor and clothes with Sophieʼs help. This would radiate nether aura and should at least help them stay clear of the Nether Devourer Beast until they get caught by a Nether Dimension denizen.

Nadia was also trying to learn more about the nether aura from Nyoran. After all, her death energy was more on the pure side due to the mutation initiated by Fallen Heaven. However, she was keeping it toned down since she was still pregnant.

Davis flicked his sleeves and brought out a jade container and took out a sealed pill.

It was a golden pill with a golden glazed surface. Its exterior was smooth and polished. When he held it in his hands, it was surprisingly warm to the touch as though he was holding the very core of a world.

Once he removed the layer with a peel using his fingers, a palpable, almost tangible aura that radiated with intense waves of energy spread, making the space around him vibrate in resonance.

The intense, vibrant energy turned into golden light that momentarily blinded his eyes before he looked at the illusion of tiny runes dancing across the spherical body. The currents of golden light swirling around were captivating, making Davis charmed by the myriad secrets of this pill.

He could sense the vast reservoir of energy swirling within as pill essence, ready to be consumed.

Contrarily to his imagination, this pill didnʼt seem to be berserk in nature at all.

His lips went dry at the glazed golden pill, wanting to swallow it and digest it as soon as possible. His body even showed signs of withdrawal syndrome before he had even swallowed the pill as his body turned weaker at the scent, demanding that he throw it into his mouth as though his will had been overrode.

He acted upon that desire and threw the pill into his mouth.

A warm feeling spread across his tongue and throat as the pill rolled down the pipe, dissolving as it sank. Simultaneously, a burst of potent, golden energy surged down his throat like a molten liquid of sunlight, its energy incredibly dense and making his entire head and neck glow like it had been irradiated by a golden hue.

His sapphire eyes practically shone golden, releasing lights that looked like they were going to explode.

All that energy flowed into his stomach and entered his dantian, continuing to spread across every fiber of his body. However, the dantian was like a black hole right now, absorbing obscene amounts of energy from the golden vortex of pill essence gathered at the epicenter.

Suddenly, Davis felt light.

It was contrary to his imagination as he expected to feel bloated.

As the dantian kept absorbing the pill essence, he could feel his energy grow denser and more potent. His physical body also responded to the pill, strengthening the sleeping chaotic cells. They glowed golden as though they were reawakened from their slumber.

All the cells in his body drank the golden liquid as though they were thirsty beyond compare, making him wonder if there would be some left for the soul and soon enough, the pill essence climbed up the meridian pathway and began revitalizing his soul.

The lower dantian containing the Essence Gathering Cultivation and the middle dantian containing the Body Tempering Cultivation were seamlessly interconnected by the Immortal Vessel in the Immortal Cultivation Method.

This meant that these two energies always increased together unlike the Soul Forging Cultivation in the upper dantian that was separate. But this pillʼs essence was so dense that it was equally spreading across all three cultivations as though it had a will of its own.

He didnʼt even need to do anything other than keep the way clear of obstacles.

The very foundation of his cultivations were his physiques ever since they formed.

All the pill essenceʼs golden vortex energy rushed into the physiques.

There were no special changes to the physiques but the energies inside them grew unbelievably dense as though they literally contained the weight of the world and sought to inwardly transform nature as to eternally accommodate the immense increase in energy leading to a terrifying spike in prowess.

His physical body also responded to the influx of power by becoming more tempered, his muscles growing stronger, his bones becoming denser and even his senses were abnormally sharpened.

Perhaps due to the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill being tamer than expected, Davisʼs senses were also sharpened enough to understand the changes with clarity.

He couldnʼt believe this was a pill that granted a ridiculous amount of increase in prowess for a tame pill, making him see why Myria, Tina and Dalila were awed beyond compare over this pill that even with all their knowledge they could barely dilute it.

He sensed all the changes, noticing that the Heaven Immortal Vessels were also expanding along with the internal cores to accommodate the surge in energy capacity and basked in the pill essence for a period of time as his prowess kept increasing until it began crossing levels.

Some unknown time later, he opened his eyes as a golden glow of supremacy flashed before his eyes returned to their normal color. His soul undulations reverberated, each wave denser than the other, causing him to clench his fist and unleash a simple reincarnation energy punch.

A low boom accompanied by a shockwave spread across the area, forming cracks all over the nearby space.

It made him smile as he guessed his prowess increased by four levels in the Immortal King Stage, totaling for a base prowess of seventeen levels higher which meant he could basically thrash average Level Nine Immortal Emperors like they were no different than ragdolls.

He felt that it was great even if it wasnʼt five levels higher since it was a Lower Realm Pill. He was rather thankful that the increase was the same as Evelynn, Isabella and Shirley if they were in the Immortal King Stage.

”...!”

Even after five whole minutes of testing all his three cultivation bases, Davis still couldnʼt help but shudder as he felt vastly empowered.

After all, if he joined hands with Myria who had also digested a Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill, then they might very well be able to barely take on an Empyrean!
