Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3794  Empyrean Miller Skyrend

Clara returned her gaze to the white-haired Heavenʼs Warrior, who was an Empyrean clad in white robes.

Needless to say, his aura was immense, and the pressure he exuded could crush an Immortal Stage expert, but in front of her, he adopted a courteous attitude, giving immense respect to her status as a heaven-born ruler.

Although he respected her, it didnʼt seem like he completely believed her origin story.

She shouldʼve known, considering he was an Empyrean instead of an Autarch.

”Of course, you have never heard of me. My age hasnʼt even reached thirty.”

Clara coldly uttered.

She remained indifferent, not bothering to explain more. She felt any lies at this point would be seen through, so she remained silent instead, letting them continue to guess. At least, it should be better than them finding out she was from the First Haven World and linking her with Davis.

She wished she had dyed her hair, but it was more likely such weak disguises would be seen through as they had used their senses to scan her when the battle with the assassins took place.

”Not even thirty…”

Empyrean Miller Skyrendʼs expression flickered.

If that was true, then it was no wonder he had heard of her. But still, he found it a bit hard for the owner of a Transcendent Truth Eyes to remain unknown for the most part until she crossed Realms- until she came here to the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm.

”Your majestyʼs talent is frightening. Most supreme geniuses at your cultivation base and prowess would be from Upper Realms.”

”Th-thatʼs not true.”

Claraʼs gaze flickered. How could she be from the Upper Realms? She was rather honored, knowing her increase in cultivation base and prowess was due to her brotherʼs wealth. Otherwise, who knew how long it wouldʼve taken her to reach this point or even survive the harsh world where even Heavenʼs Warriors would be targeted?

Heavenʼs Warriors werenʼt all that big in the First Haven World since their presence was less due to the Aurora Cloud Gate beating them up every time they came and showed their faces. It could be said the roles were changed, and she mightʼve been hunted down by the Aurora Cloud Gate if she had grown up as a Heavenʼs Warrior instead of Clara Loret.

”…”

However, everyone noticed her flustered voice for the first time and imagined that she may have descended from an Upper Realm recently and landed in the Rising Human Lower Realm for some reason, in which case they agreed it was no wonder they didnʼt know of her.

Instantly, their expressions became a few notches amicable.

They have never been to the Upper Realms, continuing to stay in the Lower Realms since it was difficult to find a spatial node that leads to the Upper Realms, but at the same time, they would no longer be as free and powerful as they heard the Second Layer suppresses their powers, no longer allowing them to make bigger attacks or even fly for a long time.

Still, Immortal Emperors and Autarchs were not suppressed that much in the Second Layer, so the reason they hadnʼt entered the Second Layer was that returning would be extremely difficult. Unless they could find a spatial node that accommodate many people at once that would take their families with them, they would rarely choose to leave.

Besides, the Lower Realms also needed Heavenʼs Warriors, such as them, to hunt the Divergents that appeared here. If Divergents managed to grow, then it would become very difficult to hunt them, so they had the responsibility of staying and seeking Divergents to exterminate them at their budding stage.

It was their pride and honor, and in turn, they were also rewarded by Heavenʼs Warrior organizations from the Upper Realms or even the Greater Realm with which they were affiliated. This system allowed them to stop their hunger for cultivation since all heavenly physiques werenʼt capable of reaching the Empyrean Stage.

That didnʼt mean they couldnʼt reach the Empyrean Stage. It was just that their lives would become more difficult as heavenly physiques ordained that it was the end of their journey. They have been supported by the heavens, but it was also said that their growth was no longer supported once they reached the physiqueʼs limit.

From that point onwards, their tribulations would no longer be friendly, and would take a firm stance, intending to put them in their place.

However, the Transcendent Truth Eyes Heavenly Physique was different.

Even amongst the best of heavenly physiques, it had no limits as far as they knew.

It was not ridiculously powerful, but the authoritative intent behind its dominant gaze was simply too strong for any being to hold onto, and when that authoritative intent is voiced through Mandate Laws, it transforms into that of a command from the heavens, twisting heaven and earth to the rulerʼs bidding.

Rumor had it that the Celestial Transcendentʼs first son was the first recipient of this physique, so it was admired and revered for billions of years. Even the various heads of the Heavenʼs Warriors organization, such as the Divine Sentinel Order and other organizations, all possessed this physique.

They explained this to Clara and once again emphasized how much of a big shot she would grow to be and how her potential attracted the evil forces of the Heavenly Blight Hall.

At this point, Clara was feeling sleepy.

Battling with the assassin, getting him to confess and die from breaking whatever slavery contract he was in, and surviving a few more assassination attempts already had her exhausted. If she kept this up, her avatar would run out of energy, and she would faint.

”Fellow Heavenʼs Warriors. I thank you all for your service, but I canʼt take up your time when evil lurks everywhere. Instead of protecting me, make sure you eradicate the assassins and the Divergents. Now, I will take my leave.”

Claraʼs figure began to fade, making the Heavenʼs Warriorsʼ eyes turn wide in shock.

”Your majesty, donʼt!”

However, it was too late.

Claraʼs figure dispersed. She killed herself in a silent way. When they examined the remnant energy, they found out this avatar was made up of soul force, making them understand. Otherwise, there would be a lifeless body remaining.

”Itʼs traceless.”

”What a good avatar technique!”

The others praised while Miller Skyrend looked solemn, feeling like they had driven her to suicide, but a moment later, he agreed with her opinion and inwardly praised her for her determination rather than caring about herself.

Thatʼs how a Heavenʼs Warrior should be.

”Wait… whereʼs her spatial ring?”

”Whereʼs the warriors who supported her?”

However, they werenʼt stupid. They could see certain things werenʼt adding up.

They called Commander Dalun, who looked quite suspicious himself.

”My lords, I swear they left yesterday. By this time, they wouldʼve already crossed realms with the prisoner.”

”Is that so…? Where were they going to?”

Miller Skyrend pondered loudly, ”Ah… the Wind Phoenix Minor Realm…”

He nodded, looking like he finally remembered. It seemed like they left while they were focused on protecting Clara. Even though it didnʼt make sense as to why a Wind Phoenix Clanʼs Inheritor would appear here unless she was a Divergent, he trusted Clara since he didnʼt sense any Divergent aura from the prisoner.

He guessed that it could be an anomaly or a fake person demanding to return to the Wind Phoenix Clan. Either way, he felt like he could check on those warriorsʼ safety later since they might be targeted by the assassins, but now, he could finally walk out and sweep the city.

”All of you— get ready to exterminate those assassins or die trying!”

”Yes!”

The others echoed in fervor.

But little did he know that once they were in space, the warriors— Yilla, Panqa, Zanqua, Lanqua all dispersed their avatars, and the prisoner, Shirley, also dispelled her soul body. They got rid of the transport ship in space along with its three staff, killing them in cold blood as Zanqua waved her broadsword and ruthlessly beheaded them, killing them painlessly as she instantly destroyed their souls.

Panqa and Lanqua didnʼt know what to say, but Yilla and Zanqua didnʼt seem to have any qualms about it.

On the other hand, Shirley was sad, but to escape with no witnesses, they had no choice but to make such a move. She only blamed herself for not being ruthless enough to do it by herself and having to get help from an outsider like Zanqua.

Fortunately, it was not an official transport ship since they managed to fool Commander Dalun and had him arrange a normal one, telling him that it was better to save costs, so they guessed it wouldnʼt be searched for that stringently. They were also hoping that the people they killed were evildoers since that would lessen the burden on their conscience, but ultimately, they had begun killing for their survival, which left a bad taste in their mouths.

They didnʼt know what awaited them from here on out, but they were prepared to face it together with Davis.

In the Great Desolate Plains, Panqa and the others cried because they were once again going to experience their souls gouged out to make their Solitary Soul Avatars. It was a horrible experience but also something that would severely strengthen their Wills if they were to properly endure it, but that wasnʼt going to make the pain go away, so they begged Davis to have mercy on them.

Only Clara didnʼt look bothered, enduring the severance of her soul with an incomparably strong Will.

As for all their spatial rings, they had already returned.

They had all smuggled them into the Great Desolate Plains using a caravan that sells goods in the outskirts so that the cultivators could have some supplies in the desert. The vendor would sell goods for a high price and make a fortune and was even greedy enough to smuggle certain products that wouldnʼt see the light of the day in and out, so they used that vendor to their advantage as Yilla found him.

Then, they had that entire vendor swallowed by a Hundred Emerald Spike Sandworm and had it return after making countless roundabouts and passing the spatial rings to other sandworms, erasing the trace. After all, even if some were to have doubts over why Hundred Emerald Spike Sandworm would come this close to the walls, they would never be able to find out why unless they headed much deeper into the core region!
