Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3770  Resurfacing Influence?

After the white-haired Heavenʼs Warrior left, Clara heaved a sigh of frustration.

She turned to look around, opening her mouth, ”Rest assured. I wonʼt turn on any of you as I have complete control of myself.”

She declared with a solemn expression and continued.

”In the First Haven World, the heavenʼs influence was less, so I couldnʼt use my physiqueʼs power fully, which had me and sister-in-law Evelynn thinking that my problem was ninety-nine percent solved, with the rest one percent being dependent on my growth. After all, if my physique got stronger, then sister-in-law Evelynnʼs hex would break, causing me to fully bask in heavenʼs influence. However, we also figured this wouldnʼt be a problem as long as sister-in-law Evelynnʼs powers got stronger along with me as she strengthened the seal every minor stage, allowing me to fully retain control of myself.”

”True…” Shirley nodded, ”It was a problem that was mostly solved.”

Clara nodded back, ”But here, itʼs the true immortal world. The heavensʼ influence is everywhere and even stronger, but sister-in-law Evelynnʼs hex seal is truly amazing. I am confident that I am still in control of myself. Hence, I was able to awe and even fool a fellow Heavenʼs Warrior for our sake, but I presume the chances of me losing control have increased a bit higher, although it should be negligible as I still feel that I am fully in control of myself.”

”What about during a heavenly tribulation?” Yilla raised her brows in question, ”Can you still control yourself when the heavenʼs aura truly descends?”

”I am confident I can.”

Clara uttered, her eyes sharp.

However, anyone could see that there was no evidence. They wouldnʼt know until one of them, specifically a Divergent, underwent their tribulation here and monitored her reaction.

After all, like last time, she could go crazy, and if they came to stop her, she might stab them like she did to Ellia.

”Sisters, donʼt be harsh on my little sister.”

Shirley intervened as she smiled while waving her tied hands, ”Sheʼs trying her best to remain with us while going against her fate to be a Heavenʼs Warrior. More than anything, her life and death are in the hands of her big brother, so we donʼt get to say anything about it.”

”I know. I can protect myself.”

Yilla argued, ”However, we have Divergent children with us like Lucian, so it is all the more necessary that we fully know that she is on our side as heavenʼs influence could possibly corrupt her anytime. What if she assassinates our children as theyʼre an easier target?”

”…”

Clara lowered her head. Sometimes, after the mess she had created by stabbing Ellia, if she tried to talk to her brotherʼs children, they left soon as though they were told not to be near her. If they told their children something like that, she could understand it because she was a potential threat who may not be able to control herself.

The children spoke with her better after Evelynn healed her, but only by a little.

She wasnʼt upset as she liked being alone, but it still bothered her.

”Yilla, if you say one more word, Iʼm going to get angry.”

Shirleyʼs smile left her face, causing Yilla to shudder ever so lightly before she lowered her head.

”Forgive me as I have overstepped my bounds, fourth sister.”

”…”

Shirley pursed her lips, feeling that she had also gone a bit overboard, before she sighed and waved her arms.

”You didnʼt overstep your bounds, as your misgivings are right. Iʼm truly thankful to you for looking out for the family, but youʼre forgetting that Clara was one of us before she remains a part of the heavens. As her elder sisters, we must protect her instead of pushing her away.”

”One of us…”

Yilla bit her lips. She hadnʼt thought of that as she was new and only considered the harem and the children the most important part of Davisʼs Family. The rest came second and accordingly, but it seemed like she had to reconsider.

”…”

Clara also bit her lips.

Shirley was always on her side, and she couldnʼt be any more grateful because of that.

”Leave it. Weʼll discuss it after reaching Davis, but first-”

Shirley changed the topic, ”Where is Evelynn and Isabella? Have you found them? I canʼt send messages to them even with the Millennium-Million Kilometer Messaging Talisman.”

”...!”

Claraʼs gaze shook.

A Millennium-Million Kilometer Messaging Talismanʼs range was almost a billion kilometers in diameter. How could they not exchange messages!?

Could it be the talismans from the First Haven World were not working here as properly as they should?

However, it made sense, considering that Shirley couldʼve used this to contact them, as Davis should have had one but never received any messages from her.

”So, theyʼre not near for at least three hundred million kilometers further…”

Clara felt like she could exclude the spatial anomalies of any town or settlement within the diameter of three hundred million kilometers. To get more information, she should have returned to Revera Town, but Shirley was also with her.

It wouldnʼt be good if she was packed up and sent back to the Fire Phoenix Lower Realm.

But since she was Heavenʼs Warrior who apparently captured this inheritor, she felt like she could control the situation and maintain the pace as long as other Heavenʼs Warriors didnʼt interfere.

”I tried with other methods as well, but nothing worked…” Shirley pursed her lips.

Since she got her spatial ring back, she was packed with all kinds of treasures, firepower, defensive items, and messaging talismans that they initially planned to use in order to reunite. However, none of them seemed to work properly or outright remained silent, so she could only think that they werenʼt anywhere near.

Clara nodded.

They decided to return to Davis first, but for that, they needed to use the battleship of the Wesley Family. For that to happen, they had to return to the Revera Town, where that white-haired Heavenʼs Warrior was still staying.

Regardless, Clara and the others returned to the Revera City.

”Your Highness! To think you have captured someone so powerful! Your presence will soon resound in the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm!”

Commander Dalun strode forward and sang praises for Clara.

On the other hand, it seems Town Lord Maluk Revera was busy accommodating the white-haired Heavenʼs Warrior since they both werenʼt here.

”Itʼs not my doing. This inheritor surrendered her own volition and, in exchange, requested that her identity be kept hidden as she doesnʼt want to be humiliated.”

”Oh…” Commander Dalun appeared taken aback.

”But it canʼt be like sheʼs one of the three wives of the Divine Emperor of Death, right? If I remember correctly, they were named Evelynn Davis, Shirley Davis, and Isabella Davis.”

”I confirmed her identity.”

Clara didnʼt seem shaken as she maintained her cold indifference, ”Sheʼs from a phoenix family from a Minor Realm.”

”Understood…”

Commander Dalun nodded.

He knew only the Fire Phoenix, Golden Phoenix, and Ice Phoenix Clan owned Lower Realms. The rest of the Phoenix Clans, like the Dark Phoenix Clan, Wind Phoenix Clan, and Light Phoenix Clan, were in Minor Realms, although the power they maintained was quite similar.

This was because the realms were redistributed appropriately on the basis of race and contributions, so humans, magical beasts, and other races got to own their realms in the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy after the human raceʼs conquest of the galaxy. After all, the other races who stayed here to help the human race were considered allies.

Phoenixes was quite serious when it came to maintaining dignity, so he understood why the inheritor wouldnʼt want to be exposed, especially because the inheritor was a woman.

Their relation to the Candidacy was only detected by the blood jade crystal, so their identity didnʼt necessarily need to be confirmed. They just need to be sent back to their realms in order to receive punishment.

And since this female inheritor appeared to be from the phoenix family of a Minor Realm, he guessed she was most likely from the Dark Phoenix Clan, Wind Phoenix Clan, or Light Phoenix Clan. Considering how she fled effortlessly, he was inclined to believe she was from the Wind Phoenix Clan and not Shirley Davis from the Fire Phoenix Clan.

Commander Dalun smiled, thinking there was no reason for a Heavenʼs Warrior to lie. That was more unlikely than the black-robed inheritor to turn out to be Shirley Davis.

”We came to a deal to learn more information about the Candidacy, and Iʼll be taking her back to the Highnode Town as I donʼt like it here. Arrange for the battleship to return.”

Clara coldly commanded, her voice induced with heavenly aura.

Commander Dalun didnʼt say no and quickly followed her commands without a doubt. As for why Fairy Heavenʼs Warrior didnʼt like it here, he guessed it must be because of that overly fat Town Lord and inwardly rejoiced.

ʼOh… the Fairy Heavenʼs Warrior also said she may or may not help the Wesley Family…ʼ

He rejoiced again and quickly arranged for them to leave.

”…”

Meanwhile, Shirley blinked at the whole scene.

Clara didnʼt even try to trick. The way she mixed lies with half-truths left no questions to be asked. Even if her phoenix aura was discovered in an upcoming battle, she could still use the excuse she was not from the Fire Phoenix Lower Realm.

ʼAs expected… you are indeed his little sister…ʼ

It was not only Shirley, but the others were also surprised by her natural tone of voice, as though this was completely normal for her. However, they knew how her tone would change when she uttered a complete lie and a lie mixed with truths.

It seems that she appeared to have no problem with the latter.

Nonetheless, with this, they could safely deliver Shirley back to their base without a single hint of trouble.

This was what they set out to do, and almost accomplishing it made them feel exhilarated.

All that was left was for them to board the battleship and return!

Just as they boarded the battleship in five minutes, the white-haired Heavenʼs Warrior suddenly blocked their path.

”Your majesty, it seems that we may have encountered some trouble.”

”…?
