Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3793  Heavenly Blight Hall

”Heavenly Blight Hall…”

Davisʼs expression wasnʼt good.

He told Evelynn of their existence and mentioned staying clear from them even if she was as strong as an Empyrean right now.

She didnʼt ask why, but he still informed her of his speculation that their leader could possess a spatial and time-attributed apex treasure or something nearly as powerful as an apex treasure, and offending them could possibly spell doom for all of them.

”Understood.”

Evelynn didnʼt say much. She didnʼt have much experience traveling outside, but she knew who to offend after being with Davis for so many years. His moves were always calculated for the overall safety of their family until they couldnʼt be.

As long their dignity wasnʼt being crushed or their life being endangered, she was willing to look the other way. It didnʼt matter who those assassins killed as long as it wasnʼt Clara or her.

She decided to remain on the outskirts for the time being, waiting for Heavenʼs Warriors and Heavenly Blight Hallʼs assassins to leave so she could finally reunite with Davis, her children, and her big family.

She really felt burdened that Shirley and Isabella were nowhere to be found, but seeing that they were together with Davis, she felt like she could chill here in these mountains for a week or two without a problem.

If she entered closed-door cultivation, she wouldnʼt have any problem for a year or two.

Then again, she felt it would be a problem as she looked around and saw that the mountains had wild, savage beasts everywhere. They have taken up space like they owned territories, so as long as she didnʼt intrude into their territory, they wouldnʼt make trouble, but beginning to practice cultivation is like telling them that there was meat here, and she wanted to avoid that problem.

ʼIn any case, itʼs not like my cultivation is going to increase any faster…ʼ

Evelynn inwardly grumbled.

With her prowess having already reached the Empyrean Stage, Immortal Emperor Crystal Beast Cores was of no use to her. This meant only Empyrean Crystal Beast Cores were of use to her, but she had already absorbed half of them and wanted to leave the remaining half for Davis so his cultivation base could surge to Level Three after he entered the Immortal Emperor Sage.

Therefore, she was going to be stuck at Level Three Immortal Emperor for some time. The bottleneck to Level Four Stage was steep.

Nonetheless, the honor of bringing her here belonged to Zenova Artoria, so she shared this important information with her.

”— donʼt offend them. Thatʼs all I can say…” Evelynn advised.

”An assassin organization created by an Anarchic Divergent who possesses a spatial-attribute trump card above Empyrean Grade or even above, capable of ignoring universal restrictions… interesting…”

Zenova Artoria inclined her head curiously, but she could hear the nervousness in her own voice.

Evelynn wasnʼt surprised.

They had just ascended, and hearing about such beings would make anyone tremble, much less them, who had yet to hear about what sort of stages were above the Empyrean Stage. It was ridiculous that they had to come across people who were under such people the moment they stepped into the true immortal world.

”Maybe joining them would be a viable option…”

”Are you serious?”

Evelynn raised her brows at Zenova Artoriaʼs utterance.

”If they donʼt make us slaves, that is~”

Zenova Artoria sighed, ”After all, no person would be sane enough to join an assassin organization and try to target Heavenʼs Warriors alone. Their assassins are all most likely slaves, so it would explain their fearlessness, but for that younger sister to be able to uncover the truth despite dealing with deathbound slave assassins, sheʼs something else… Are all Transcendent Truth Eyesʼ Physique owners like that?”

”…”

Evelynn glanced at Zenova Artoria more closely.

They hadnʼt revealed much info about Clara to the First Haven World and even had Mingzhi actively trying to spread false information over her and othersʼ identities so that they could remain hidden. However, Zenova Artoria still managed to garner some information on her.

”Perhaps…” Evelynn answered.

Zenova Artoria saw Evelynn instantly raise her guard up, causing her to smile and no longer pursue the line of questioning.

They remained silent near the foot of the mountains while hiding in the forest, having set up concealment formations that would help them remain undiscovered. All that was left was for them to wait for the Heavenʼs Warriors and Heavenly Blight Hallʼs assassins to leave.

”This is beyond persistent. How many times do I have to say that Iʼm just an avatar and donʼt need anyoneʼs protection? Even if I were to receive a deadly karmic attack and die here, I would just cough blood from my main body and be done with it.”

Clara coldly answered as she looked at the other Heavenʼs Warriors at the round table.

There were seven Heavens Warriors excluding her, one of them an Empyrean and the other six— three Mid Stage Sovereigns, two Late Stage Sovereigns, and one Peak Stage Immortal Emperor.

There was also another Peak-Level Sovereign, the man who was adamant about protecting her and zealously shielded her from a poison attack, becoming bedridden at the moment. She didnʼt want such sacrifices and was already starting to feel guilty- no, disgusted with herself for fooling fellow Heavenʼs Warriors.

She didnʼt want to do anything with them as her loyalty lay with her family, who couldnʼt exist in the same sky as them.

Sheʼd rather wish they attacked her, and she shared enmity, but she couldnʼt expose herself for her family no matter what.

”Your majesty, these assassins are extremely dangerous.”

Answered a short blue-haired Heavenʼs Warrior who was the other Peak-Level Sovereign, ”They wouldnʼt stop at anything if it means they can kill a master of the Transcendent Truth Eyes. Even as we speak, theyʼre gathering here to harm Your Majesty with all they got in this realm.”

”Yes, weʼre doing everything we can to prevent them entry into the Eternal Twilight Realm.”

Another Heavenʼs Warrior spoke. He possessed green hair and looked quite offended, although it was unknown if it was just his natural expression.

”Indeed,” A white-haired Heavenʼs Warriors acknowledged.

He was none other than the only Empyrean in this room, Miller Skyrend.

His white hair flowed down his shoulders, and his chin hung with a long beard. His facial features were middle-aged, and he possessed a calm and gentle demeanor. He looked like a good neighbor who had aged a bit too soon with his natural white hair.

He rubbed his beard, appearing intrigued, ”It is unknown how they functioned ever since they appeared two million years ago, slaughtering Heavenʼs Warriors in droves before they were slaughtered back. Everyone thought they were exterminated, but a million years later, their leader showed up and killed a peak Autarch Heavenʼs Warrior before disappearing again, their presence sporadically exploding every few millenniums. We canʼt underestimate their forces, your majesty.”

”If they canʼt harm your true body, then they will hunt down your majestyʼs avatars until you show yourself or remain cooped up in your home, disallowing your magnificent self to gain experience and become a threat to them.”

”…”

Clara looked away.

She wanted to tell them that she didnʼt care, but she knew history would repeat itself. They wouldnʼt give up until she accepted their protection.

The problem was that they could all dissolve their avatars, but such action would only invite more suspicion. After all, avatars were connected to their true body strongly as they take up a significant portion of soul or blood essence, unlike a soul body, so intentionally dispersing one was seen as heavily injuring oneself.

If she was just herself, she mightʼve done it, but there were also Yilla and the others in her room, cooped up since it was dangerous for them to meet other Heavenʼs Warriors and mess it up.

”By the way, your majesty.” Miller Skyrendʼs eyes narrowed as he rubbed his beard.

”I luckily happened to come from the Rising Human Lower Realm, but I have never heard of your presence. Can I know your name and affiliation?”
