Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3766  Making Contact

”Ohhh-”Maluk Reveraʼs brows shot up like he understood before he sighed, ”There are too many victims stemming from a Divergentʼs meaningless slaughter, so it is understandable that they have devoted their lives to seeking justice. Please- continue with your heaven-bestowed duty to protect the innocents.”

He gazed at the Heavenʼs Warrior and saw she was just an Early Stage Immortal Emperor, probably having come from the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm or some backwaters that still used the Immortal Cultivation Method, so he didnʼt doubt her authenticity or the others.

A Heavenʼs Warrior would not remain in one place, after all. They would travel and gain experience while dealing with all sorts of atrocities.

Clara was just about to leave in search of the inheritor that landed here, but she doubted one point.

”How do you know if that person who escaped is an inheritor or not?”

”Hmm? Heavenʼs Warrior doesnʼt know?”

”Iʼve been in seclusion and only received the news.”

”Oh, every town and city has been sent a crystal jade that is said to apparently detect those who are involved with the so-called Candidacy.”

Maluk Revera took out a crimson crystal and displayed it to them.

”I see.”

Clara could only blink at it, considering herself fortunate that she was not tied to the Ice Phoenix Inheritance since it went to Shirley. It didnʼt matter if she had Frostroseʼs blood. It was minute, and she wasnʼt the inheritor, so this blood crystal was possibly made up of the blood essence of all those who sacrificed their lives to become the Inheritance Masters.

Since this blood crystal was sent to many towns and cities, she guessed it was mass-produced, which significantly dropped its search range. Hence, they couldnʼt even use it to search in their own town other than to identify the identity of the intruders when they come out of the spatial anomalies.

”Also, rest assured, my Lord. We have received news that another Heavenʼs Warrior is on their way. Theyʼre a Peak-Level Sovereign, so you donʼt have to take risky actions even if the inheritor is stronger.”

Maluk Revera smilingly reported, causing Clara to pause before she nodded and left.

Yilla and the others also followed. They didnʼt find it strange that no one asked Claraʼs name because it was disrespectful. Heavenʼs Warriors may be revered, but they were also seen as heavenʼs messengers instead of individuals, so people would give them the same respect they would give to the heavens.

With this, they had successfully infiltrated the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm.

However, it was concerning that another Heavenʼs Warrior was on their way here.

They knew they had to find the inheritor as soon as possible. They hoped it was one of their three big sisters.

They flew down the platform and shot towards the last-seen location of the inheritor and unleashed their undulations.

”Come out!”

Since the guards and everyone else were watching them, they didnʼt do it covertly.

Clara directly unleashed her undulations and used Mandate Laws to command the inheritor out, but she wasnʼt foolish. Her words were also directed at everyone within her range.

Hundreds and thousands of people stepped out from their homes despite the curfew, shivering as they stepped out of their homes and their bodies moved on their own.

Even Immortal Emperors and Sovereigns stepped out as they chose to listen to the words filled with heavenly aura instead of going against it.

”Wha-”

Makuk Reveraʼs jaws dropped. He was awed to hear her authoritative voice but then almost facepalmed, wondering if this lady hadnʼt mastered her Mandate Laws or if she had some other plan in mind. After all, just because Heavenʼs Warriors would protect innocents against evil didnʼt mean they would protect innocents when hunting evil.

They mostly didnʼt care for collateral damage as eradicating evil was their first priority, which in turn ended up protecting innocents.

However, this person was no Divergent but a mere inheritor, so was this needed?

ʼWait… could it be that this inheritor is a Divergent…?ʼ

Maluk Reveraʼs eyes trembled. He knew Heavenʼs Warriors could sense Divergents, so he wondered if the female Heavenʼs Warriors chose to clear the area this way.

*Whoosh!~*

Abruptly, Clara shot towards something as she descended.

Then suddenly, a black-robed figure shot out from the street, flying into the air as they headed towards the gates.

”There she is…! Capture her! Support the Heavenʼs Warrior!”

Maluk Revera flinched as his entire body jiggled along with him. He quickly pointed at the fleeing black-robed silhouette and commanded his guards. At the same time, he had sent a soul transmission to the female Heavenʼs Warrior, asking if the opponent was a Divergent, but he received a negative answer, causing him to relax.

Everyone chased the black-robed figure while the ordinary people ran in the opposite direction. Her speed was extremely fast, even getting past the guards who appeared in front of her in the air.

A spear pierced the air and came flying towards her, but she stretched out her hand and flicked the rod to the side just before the spearhead could pierce her abdomen, causing it to miss her and stab one of the guards who was closely following her.

”Aaah!”

”Careful, she got the moves- ahem, I mean, extraordinary moves to parry.”

Maluk Revera coughed and said before he screamed out with his lungs, ”Stop right there, inheritor from an accursed land! If you surrender and obediently head back to your realm, your punishment will be less severe.”

However, it seemed to fall on deaf ears since the black-robed figure didnʼt stop.

But he rejoiced as the female Heavenʼs Warrior appeared to have caught up using that brief moment.

”Surrender or die! You are disallowed to dodge~”

Claraʼs voice echoed, concentrated to a single point before a silver sword appeared in her grasp. It turned icy before she raised it high in the air and struck it at the black-robed figure, causing the black-robed figure to turn around.

The black-robed figure appeared to be unable to dodge the incoming attack even though she could, causing her to raise her hand and defend with a dagger. The dagger appeared to be ordinary, but it instantly turned cold from Claraʼs cold aura, almost cracking underneath its force.

Subsequently, the inheritor broke the mandate the next second and kicked Clara, causing the latter to dodge, although she took that chance to rush towards the gates.

”What are you doing? Open the gates. Do you want to cause the Heavenʼs Warrior to cause harm to the innocents!?”

Lanqua yelled at Maluk Revera before she also joined the fight.

”…!”

Maluk Revera shuddered before he realized his mistake. He thought he could earn some achievement by trapping the inheritor in this city, but since such a person wasnʼt evil in nature, there was no need to go this far. He quickly commanded for the gates to be opened, allowing the battle to leave town. It was also beneficial to him as he could save some money for the damages.

The ridiculously huge gates opened, and the black-robed figure shot past it, exiting the town.

Clara, Yilla, Panqa, Zanqua, and Lanqua chase after the inheritor, along with a few guards.

There were many Immortal Emperors and Sovereigns, but after seeing the female Heaven Warriorʼs prowess despite her undulations, they had to admit they were not a match, so they obediently stayed back.

Even the Town Lord was shocked over the female Heaven Warriorʼs ability, finally realizing that she wasnʼt ordinary even amongst the elite of Heavenʼs Warriors.

After all, her prowess appeared to be six or even seven levels higher, certainly putting her at the rank of supreme geniuses, a Kingly Sovereign!
