Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2138: As Though Nothing Had Happened

Davis could feel their awe, causing him to wryly smile as he felt that this wasnʼt enough. After all, he had to have more understanding and comprehension if he wanted to survive in the future. He turned to look at Rellow Alstreim, wondering what to do with him.

Obviously, he had kidnapped Rellow Alstreim without anyone coming to know about it, again using his soul force to perform Illusion Laws on everyone around him.

Back then, when he shared comprehension clouds of the Three-Eyed White Serpent with Evelynn, he also got some vague insights that helped him reach Elementary Intent in Illusion Laws for the soul, not to mention that he had also gained comprehension in Poison Laws as well, reaching Elementary Intent.

After all, he gained knowledge of poison so that he could help Evelynn develop learn Poison Laws and develop antidotes for her poison back then so that she didnʼt harm herself when it comes to using poison, but after she became a fey and her blood could easily resist most poisons, there was no need for that. Still, combined with those comprehension clouds, he did gain Elementary Intent of Poison Laws and Illusion Laws for his soul.

Nonetheless, Rellow Alstreim didnʼt seem like he had gained his memories back, so he returned his gaze to them and spoke.

”Ivy, Iʼm going to return Rellow Alstreim back to his father and mother as though nothing had happened. What about you? I suggest that you return ancestor Alstreim back to her new parents. Sheʼs still a baby, after all.”

Ivy Aries couldnʼt help but blink as she smiled wryly, ”You decided already, so you wonʼt take no for an answer...”

”I guess so…” Davis perfunctorily nodded, ”We wouldʼve been lucky if ancestor Ariesʼs parents were some vile people, but it was even worse. I know them personally, so itʼs rather guilt-inducing for me if I took their child away. Besides, Rias and Rellow Alstreim are practically neighbors, so thereʼs no need to worry about them becoming together in the future.”

”I agree… with the lad… Iʼll stay with father and mother… and when I grow up… I will… without a doubt… make Rellow… my Garvin… my husband...”

Ancestor Aries slowly echoed with heartfelt words, causing Davis to nod heavily.

”Good.”

”Well, since both you and ancestor decided, it looks like I donʼt have a say in this matter.”

Ivy Aries shook her head, seemingly drooping her shoulders with some melancholy. She had finally managed to revive her ancestor with the help of Davis, but it seemed like her ancestor trusted Davis more than her. It was a complex feeling that swiveled inside her heart, making her unable to understand what she truly felt as she looked at him.

”Youʼre free to stay here and look after them, but the consequences are anything but good if you use your full prowess here, no matter the reason. Then, see you later.”

Davis walked to ancestor Aries and Rellow Alstreim, about to take them back. He reached out his hands when a hand suddenly grabbed his wrist, causing him to look at the perpetrator.

”Whatʼs wrong?”

”Uhm, ancestor is rather conservative, and sheʼs practically naked with only a piece of cloth covering her, so let me hold her.”

ʼDidnʼt I just hold her while taking her out? Besides, sheʼs just a baby!ʼ

Davis almost rolled his eyes, but he kept his face nonchalant as he nodded his head, ”Alright.”

”Hehe~”

Ivy Aries awkwardly giggled before she cradled ancestor Aries in her arms, slightly feeling the sensation of touching him in her palm, making her blush ever so lightly. As a woman of the Jade Lotus Valley, she hadnʼt touched a single man in her life, much less held their hand or arm.

Thatʼs why she had also volunteered to hold her ancestor, but the very feeling of his hand caused her to feel strange.

Nonetheless, they both took Rellow Alstreim and Rias back to their homes and stopped using illusion on them. Rias instantly slept as though she was tired, while Rellow Alstreim woke up and scratched his head as though wondering if he had dreamed all that happened before his eyes. However, no one else realized anything out of place, making Davis understand why people were able to abduct Natalya back then without allowing her family to realize it.

Illusion Laws were truly a terrifying thing to encounter.

Who knows how many countless people were fooled because of it, especially because of the Yantras who were said to be masters in it?

Nevertheless, he thought of visiting Hadian and Lucas to talk about some old matters. However, he lacked the time and decided not to visit but instead decided to send them some resources for them to improve their cultivations. Besides, he was already helping Uncle Daniuisʼs family anyway, so helping Lucas additionally was just icing on the cake.

After he settled this matter, Davis bid farewell to Ivy Aries, coming and going as he pleased. The very sight of it caused Ivy Aries to wryly smile, making her wonder if her physique was truly detested by the men of this world. Nonetheless, she left the Grand Alstreim City and returned to the Jade Lotus Valley as she had many things left to do.

Davis returned to the Mortal Hex Emperor Purple Palace and enjoyed the company of his women in the main hall, eating exotic delicacies and swallowing exquisite drinks known in the Fifty-Two Territories. He lavishly spent his spirit stones, allowing his family to enjoy the best of their lives.

The next few days were spent with Evelynn, Natalya, Iesha, Zestria, Bylai, and Lea individually on the bed, thoroughly satisfying his and their natural yet erotic desires, and just as he went searching for Tanya, he sensed a black-robed figure leaving the palace.

He set his sights on that figure, following them to the Blood Pledge Villa Territory before appearing at the headquarters of the Blood Pledge Villa.

The city was covered in a bloody hue because of red lanterns hanging all over the place, not to mention that the skies were blood-red, the remnant energy of the Blood Dust Emperor of yonder revolving above as though it was the source.

But at this moment, that black-robed figure stood in mid-air above the city, its lips moving.

”Villa Master, come out and face your death!~”
