Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2118: Rammed

ʼWith this… the Emperor of Death will send his damn Reaper Soul Legion to protect these fools, and then, we can smoothly proceed with our plans to plunder the Vast Sky Emperor Palace Territory...ʼ

However, he suddenly stopped, his smile fading as a mocking expression replaced his face.

”What? Does the Undaunted Earthen Cow Clan want to become extinct?”

He looked at the cow he sent tripping outside the palace with derision, unable to believe that this little cow with not enough prowess dared to confront him outside and, to top it off, alone. His senses surged out, but he was unable to find anyone worth looking at before he laughed, his giant lion body turning into a blue ray of light before becoming six feet tall blue-haired human with regal sapphire robes.

”Just my human form alone is enough to take you down...”

Emperor Shakhan grinned while thinking, ʼLucky cow, I canʼt kill you just yet… Otherwise, it would cause our plan to fail-ʼ

The Undaunted Earthen Cow Guardian didnʼt seem to pay any heed to the mocking tone of the Torrential Wave Lion. Instead, it possessed a big smile on its face, its horns practically rearing with a mountainous might before it took its first step and pounced into a full-fledged dash like a bull.

”Ahaha! Come!”

Emperor Shakhan raised his hand into a clawing paw when suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder.

”…!?”

His scalp went numb as he waved his hand towards his back, intending to hit that person. However, he suddenly realized that he couldnʼt even move his body. When his gaze became clear, he saw a personʼs face that he thought that he would never see at this time and day. That personʼs sapphire eyes, which possessed more depth than his own, were like the abyss, pulling his very soul into it.

*Bang!~*

The Undaunted Earthen Cow Guardianʼs horn struck Emperor Shakhanʼs body before he could even react and sent him flying straight out of the vicinity as he turned into a ray of light and shot towards the distance before crashing into a mountain.

However, the crashed figure instantly turned into a blue ray of light and shot toward them.

A purple-robed man took his hand back and saw the bloodstains that covered his entire left arm while standing on the Undaunted Earthen Cow Guardianʼs horn. His gaze remained on the Torrential Wave Lion that abruptly took a turn and fled into the distance, not even turning to look back.

”Ahahahaha! That bastard of a lion escaped with his tails between his legs! Funny! This is hilarious!!!”

The Undaunted Earthen Cow Guardian burst into laughter as he saw Emperor Shakhan escape, not even caring about the person standing above its head. In fact, it seemed to be even proud for some reason.

”Well, if that lion had seen that the hole on your leg has disappeared, he couldʼve prevented this miserable defeat by at least knowing someone whoʼs powerful enough to heal the injury he caused you has appeared.”

”Emperor of Death! Our Benefactor! Let me take you to our city and not be bothered by that loser!”

The Undaunted Earthen Cow Guardian was full of laughter and joy as it took Davis to the other Guardians. However, it didnʼt realize how it was even healed a while back as it was hot-headed from being sent flying from the palace by the Torrential Wave Lion. When it saw the Emperor of Death, its leg was already healed as though it was a miracle.

It naively carried him to the city and arrived in front of Everlight, who was talking with Bylai and Zestria.

”Emperor of Death.”

Everlight flew forward and went on one knee, lowering her head, ”Thereʼs no need to have dealt with this trouble by yourself.”

”Itʼs fine. Let me do some ʼprotectingʼ you people asked me to do back then. Wasnʼt this a good chance to showcase what Iʼm capable of? However, it would be best if you stood up. After all, itʼs not like youʼre my loyal subordinate.”

Despite what Davis said, he made the Undaunted Earthen Cowʼs horn his seat, sitting comfortably on it as he lazily waved his hands to Everlight.

The sight of it caused Everlight to slightly blush as she stood back up. Even she didnʼt know why her first response was to kneel at that moment. Perhaps because she felt that his prowess had already reached a level that no one could compare? Or was it because she felt too much gratitude towards him for sending resources that allowed her Magical Beast Sanctuaryʼs overall prowess to vastly improve?

After all, they now possessed twelve fifth-level Ninth Stage Emperor Beast Stage Magical Beasts and a hundred Peak-Level Emperor Beast Stage Magical Beasts, enough to flatten most powers in the Fifty-Two Territories!

Thatʼs why she had enough confidence to ruin the magical beast tide of the Grand Viridian Beast Mountain Range and defend this city from retaliation.

Still, to not even be a subordinate yet kneel, Everlightʼs face couldnʼt help but burn in embarrassment. However, when she slightly glanced behind, she saw that the ten other Guardians had also knelt, causing her to blink.

Should they just become a subordinate power already at this rate?

”Whereʼs my Legion Commander and Vice-Commander?”

Hearing Davisʼs voice, Everlight returned her gaze and answered.

”I heard that theyʼve gone to the location of the magical beast tide as the three hegemons of the Grand Viridian Beast Mountain Range, the Torrential Wave Lion, the Devilish Flame Fox, and the Cyan Soul Rat appeared to break the stalemate. However, it was surprising to see Emperor Shakhan appear here, and so we had no choice but to confront him.”

ʼRight… theyʼre probably too difficult for Legion Captain Lightsky to deal with, especially the Cyan Soul Rat thatʼs already proficient in the soul...ʼ

Davisʼs gaze shot into the distance as he instantly realized that the hegemons of the Grand Viridian Beast Mountain Range wanted him to move his legion to the Magical Beast Sanctuary to protect Everlight and the others. He knew that the Second Division was not a match for the three magical beast hegemons, but that was precisely why he sent them there.

However, with Yotan and Threelotus joining the fray, those three hegemons likely realized that they wonʼt be able to even shake the human defenses and had one of them scare the Magical Beast Sanctuary enough so that they may request protection from their new protector, which is him.

ʼThereʼs a sly strategist in the Grand Viridian Beast Mountain Range…ʼ and Davis was inclined to believe that it was none other than the Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs Emperor, although the Devilish Flame Fox also seemed like a valid suspect.

However, Davis also knew that Everlight and the others werenʼt of the opinion of asking for help from him, intending to counter this trouble instead of relying on him.

He couldnʼt help but return his gaze to Everlight and smile.

”So, you said that youʼre all willing to become my subordinate if I manage to produce a King-Tier Magical Beast here?”

”Yes,” Everlight didnʼt hesitate to answer, ”We believe that the Emperor of Death who has conquered the human world does have resources that we were unable to collect in order to become a King-Tier Magical Beast. We request your aid us in this regard, choose any one of us Guardians from the Twelve Guardian Clans, allowing them to become a King-Tier Magical Beast.”

She raised her chin slightly, looking at him with pride seething in her eyes and even her voice, ”We promise that the King-Tier Magical Beast that will lead us will follow your authority.”
