Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2123: A Delectable Prospect

Nonetheless, it was time he healed his left arm, so he nudged her with his head.

”Wake up, Eldia. Or do you prefer me being crippled the rest of my life?”

”Ah~”

Eldia woke up with her eyes wide, seemingly thinking of it just now. She instantly let go of him and gained some distance as she flew a few meters back, giving him ample space as she placed a hand on her mouth.

”I apologize… I didnʼt mean to not notice...”

”Itʼs fine. Guard me.”

Davis waved his hand before turning to look at his left arm. He brought his right palm towards it and used life energy to heal it. However, no matter how he tried, the remnant energy of the supposed heavenly wind disallowed him to heal it back to health like he had previously tried while refining those heavenly flame wisps.

ʼSo it really doesnʼt work...ʼ

Davis pursed his lips, inwardly laughing that he wouldʼve bled to death if he couldnʼt control his muscles. After all, his heart was so close, able to be seen from the side. Nonetheless, the grayish-white life energy turned pure white, causing the cleanly severed arm to visibly shudder before it started to regrow.

ʼAs expected. Fallen Heaven is truly an apex treasure...ʼ

Davisʼs lips couldnʼt help but lightly curve, understanding that the quality of Fallen Heavenʼs Laws was of an equal or higher level than the heavenly lightning, heavenly flame, and heavenly wind he encountered at this level.

As his left arm regrew, he began to recall his idea that invited this Destructive Heavenly Tribulation.

It began from the time when the resonation of heaven and earth was impeded, vaguely giving him the idea that he could bypass the limit of comprehending above Level Six Abstruse Intent because the resonation wasnʼt there to stop him.

He wanted to take advantage of it and create a mutated Supreme Immortal Rune as Myria told him how it was like for a mutated Supreme Immortal Sigil. However, he wasnʼt sure of his chances before he finally experienced comprehending the Level Seven Abstruse Intent of Lightning Laws and became convinced that he could further his Supreme Immortal Rune, simultaneously acting upon it.

To create this so-called mutated Supreme Immortal Rune, Davis had refrained from entering High-Level Law Rune Stage for two reasons. For one, he had to store and reserve the energy collected from the refined strands of heavenly lightning in order to recondense the Supreme Immortal Rune. Otherwise, it wouldʼve been too difficult for him to recondense something like a Supreme Immortal Rune.

The other reason was that entering High-Level Law Rune Stage and luckily managing to recondense the Supreme Immortal Rune would cause him to ascend forcefully. After all, his base prowess became six levels higher, and with the ultimate and lofty power of heavenly lightning, it touched the entrance of crossing seven levels.

Thatʼs why he decided to suppress his cultivation from growing further and successfully created a mutated Supreme Immortal Rune that Myria said was impossible due to the restriction imposed.

That said, since he was already at the peak of the Mid-Level Law Rune Stage, he felt like he could enter High-Level Law Rune Stage anytime, so he wasnʼt clouded or regretful over it.

And now, he was of the mind of refining heavenly flames and comprehending Level Seven Abstruse Intent of Fire Laws, allowing him to cause his Supreme Immortal Fire Rune to mutate, also gaining the lethal and…

ʼImmolating property of the heavenly flames...ʼ

Davis couldnʼt help but grin in anticipation before his eyes became calculative as he felt that it would be more complicated than comprehending heavenly lightning.

After all, he had Eldia to compare and contrast and even actively learn from an entity that could be considered a source of heavenly lightning as Eldia was a spirit born from the absorption of heavenly lightning. However, he didnʼt have a fire spirit that had comprehended heavenly flames, and neither did he, so he would have to start from zero in comprehending heavenly flames, which Davis felt was extremely difficult and tedious.

Nonetheless, for the absence of a fire spiritʼs heavenly flame energy and Comprehension Bestowal, Davis felt that the ninth level heavenly flame wisp that was refined from the eighth strike should somewhat suffice. When compared to the Destructive Heavenly Lightning Tribulation of the Spirit-Tier Supreme Ebbing Sigil Pill, he had gained two wisps of heavenly flames whose prowess was at the ninth level compared to the single strand of heavenly lightning that was at the ninth level, after all.

In total, he possessed two seventh level Ninth Stage, four eighth level Ninth Stage, and two ninth level Ninth Stage heavenly flame wisps, constituting about two more refined heavenly flame wisps than the six refined heavenly lightning strands he collected, also making him wonder if he should find some fire spirit to train in heavenly flames so that he could benefit in the long term.

However, where could he go find a suitable and friendly Fire Elemental that hadnʼt gone through its first heavenly tribulation?

He wanted it to follow a similar path as Eldia, becoming molded in heavenly flames after undergoing its first heavenly tribulation. That way, he felt that it could probably comprehend heavenly flames as Eldia could easily comprehend heavenly lightning.

However, feeling that it was almost impossible and, even if it was possible, would undoubtedly take time more time than he could predict, Davis shook his head, intending to continue with his seclusion as planned.

Nevertheless, Davis couldnʼt stop grinning because his plan just didnʼt end with creating two mutated Supreme Immortal Runes but continuing to follow the method Myria spoke about, reversing the mutated Supreme Immortal Runes and creating a physique!

For someone of his stature who created an Extreme Mutated Revolving Core and is in the progress of conjuring two mutated Supreme Immortal Runes, if he were to reverse them into a physique, he couldnʼt imagine what kind of superior physique would be born from the amalgamation of heavenly lightning and heavenly flames!
