The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2534: Chapter 2534: Not Really a Regret (4)

The days slid by two more, and someone came to visit; it was surprisingly the Shu family’s old patriarch, Shu Xing.

”Grandfather, why didn’t you send word ahead?” Yang Ruxin was shocked, ”So I could send someone to meet you.”

”What’s there to meet? I’m just an old man, is someone going to rob me?” Shu Xing laughed heartily, ”Besides, isn’t Shu Luo with me?”

”Grandfather, you yourself are a treasure.” Yang Ruxin supported Shu Xing’s arm as they entered the courtyard, ”You mustn’t underestimate yourself, you can ask those at the Court if you don’t believe me.”

”You’re quite the smooth talker.” Shu Xing was delighted by Yang Ruxin’s flattery, ”Quick, take me to see my three great-grandchildren.”

Shu Luo gave Yang Ruxin a thumbs up: ”Sister-in-law, you’re amazing, three at once, and both sons and daughters, impressive.”

”You should quickly find a wife and have kids too.” Yang Ruxin raised an eyebrow slightly.

”No rush!” Shu Luo quickly waved his hand and hurried into the nursery; he dreaded his family urging him to marry.

Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but shake her head, another one who doesn’t want to enter the marriage grave, fortunately, he’s the youngest, with older brothers above him, allowing him a few more years of freedom, otherwise, he might have already been a father.

The three little beans were very considerate, waking up just as the old man came in, cooing as if greeting him.

”The older one is called Hei Dou, the second sister is called Lun Dou, and the youngest sister is called Huang Dou...” Yang Ruxin introduced the three little beans, Lun Dou and Huang Dou looked particularly alike, and most outsiders couldn’t tell who was who, always having to check the red strings on their wrists to be sure, but she could distinguish them at a glance, perhaps a testament to the bond between mother and child.

”Not bad!” Shu Xing looked at the three little beans, the lines on his face deepening with joy, ”Great-grandfather didn’t make it to your full month, but I’m here for your ’hundred days,’ not a bad thing after all.”

Hei Dou shook his little hand.

”This is a gift.” Shu Xing said, taking out a box, ”But for now, since you’re little, let your mother keep it for you.” He handed it to Yang Ruxin.

”Grandfather, what is this?”

”I’ve had your second uncle purchase three estates in the outskirts of Beijing, one for each of you, they can be used as dowrys or wedding gifts in the future.” Shu Xing stretched out and tapped Hei Dou’s little hand, which was immediately grasped, much to his delight.

”Cousin-in-law, let me tell you, it’s rare for grandpa to be so worldly, you shouldn’t refuse, otherwise, if he really gives each of the three little beans a set of the Four Books and Five Classics, you’d probably cry.”

”What are you saying?” Yang Ruxin nudged Shu Luo, ”Whatever Grandfather gives is a treasure.”

”Flatterer.” Shu Luo rolled his eyes at Yang Ruxin and quickly ran to the other side of the crib to play with Lun Dou and Huang Dou, also to avoid Yang Ruxin’s revenge, but no matter how he tried to engage them, Lun Dou and Huang Dou completely ignored him.

Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but laugh, but wasn’t coy, and handed the box to Chun Hua behind her: ”On behalf of the three little beans, thank you to their great-grandfather.”

The three little beans joined in cooing, as if they were truly giving thanks.

”I’m the little uncle.” Shu Luo hurriedly greeted them, even stretching out his finger.

But the three little beans simply ignored him, leaving Young Master Shu thoroughly depressed.

”Who told you to call their mom a flatterer just now?” Yang Ruxin raised an eyebrow at Shu Luo, ”Why would they ever pay you any attention?”
