The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2530: Chapter 2530: I Do (Part 4)

Wei Yao frowned at him, the faint scent of bamboo mixed with the aroma of wine from his body filled her nostrils. At this moment, she felt incredibly conflicted and aggrieved, he actually said he was disappointed!

Seeing Wei Yao’s eyes gradually turning red, Qi Jingyi finally sighed, ”No one will make you a concubine.”

Wei Yao’s tears suddenly fell.

”Silly girl.” Qi Jingyi reached out and pulled her into his arms, ”If I really wanted to take a concubine, I wouldn’t choose you.”

Wei Yao struggled to get away.

”Don’t move.” Qi Jingyi held her even tighter, ”Otherwise, you bear the consequences.”

Wei Yao indeed didn’t dare to move, she could only lean on his chest, listening to his strong heartbeat, inexplicably feeling reassured, but her reason still held, ”Do you mean you want me as your wife, or as an outside lover?”

Qi Jingyi suddenly sighed, released her, turned around, and took the jade pendant from the table, hanging it around her neck, ”You should see the material of this jade pendant, it’s not the finest chicken blood jade, but to me, it is the most precious because it was my mother’s relic. It was left by my maternal grandfather to my mother and was meant to be passed on to the daughter-in-law.”

Wei Yao could not hide the astonishment on her face, ”You mean...”

”As long as you feel the same about me, you’ll be my legitimate wife, and in the future, you’ll become the rightful Princess Yi, complete with an Imperial Edict, and recorded in the Imperial Jade Edict. Now, let me tell you about my situation first.” Qi Jingyi smiled slightly, instead of hugging her, he held and played with one of her hands, ”In my residence, there are only two attendants. They were chosen by the former Empress to serve me since childhood and even saved my life once. After I became an adult, I kept them in the house. However, if you become the Princess, you can keep them if you find it appropriate, or give them some silver and find them a good match if you don’t...”

”Of course, there’s one more thing, as you said, our identities are somewhat different, so marrying you will require overcoming some obstacles, you might even face difficulties from others. I want to ask if you’re willing to face them with me?”

Wei Yao closed her eyes, slowly digesting his words, and after a long time, when she opened them again, her gaze was resolute, ”I am willing.”

”Really?” Qi Jingyi’s eyes immediately lit up.

”Of course.” Wei Yao nodded, ”You don’t mind my background, why would I refuse a wealthy and handsome man like you?”

”Wealthy and handsome? Haha, Xinxin’s words.”

Wei Yao nodded, ”Xinxin said all of you Princes are typically wealthy and handsome.”

”As long as you know.” Qi Jingyi laughed, then pointed to the jade pendant, ”Don’t ever take this off again, otherwise you’ll be disrespecting the Imperial Family.”

”If you scare me, I might return it.” Wei Yao raised her eyebrows slightly.

”My mistake.”

”Haha, don’t worry. Unless you ask for it back, I won’t take it off, even when sleeping or bathing.” Wei Yao tucked the jade pendant inside her clothes, suddenly feeling a bit worried, ”But, will the Emperor agree?”

”With the Crown Prince and Xinxin’s help, I think there won’t be any problem.” Qi Jingyi was quite optimistic, ”Just wait to become my Princess.” He released her, ”I’ll head back now, don’t let your mind wander too much. If anything, come to the Baoyue Building to find me.” Although he was reluctant, they weren’t married yet, so he still had to consider her reputation.
