The Fierce Farm Girl Has A Secret Space

Chapter 2517: Chapter 2517: Gift for the First Meeting (Part 5)

Qi Jingyun frowned.

But Gu Qingheng had already picked Hei Dou up and placed him in Qi Jingyun’s arms.

Qi Jingyun had never held a child before! He had made the suggestion just because he found the two girls so beautiful, and identical too. He had mentioned it subconsciously, not expecting the other person to actually hand him one, which made him suddenly tense all over.

Gu Qingheng found it amusing but kindly offered a couple of tips on how to hold the child.

However, as soon as Qi Jingyun moved, he heard a ”pfft” sound, followed by liquid dripping from the little guy’s bottom, straight onto Qi Jingyun’s freshly changed pale blue robe.

Then a foul odor spread through the air.

Qi Jingyun’s face immediately darkened, and the warm sensation on his body made him want to explode.

Hei Dou had pooped and peed, feeling so comfortable that he just hummed. His little hands occasionally waved and even hit Qi Jingyun’s face, which, although not painful, was still a slap in the face.

Gu Qingheng burst out laughing, ”What a wonderful gift, my good son!”

”Your good son!” Qi Jingyun looked at Gu Qingheng’s unabashed laughter, his face as black as the bottom of a pot.

”Of course, as expected of my son,” Gu Qingheng boasted, ”That’s children’s urine, an excellent Chinese medicine.”

”Take him back quickly,” Qi Jingyun’s face turned even darker.

Gu Qingheng then reached out to take his son back.

Qi Jingyun said a quick goodbye and turned to leave. Indeed, kids were too much trouble.

Gu Qingheng put his son on a little bed, quickly used a warm towel to wipe him clean, and changed him into a fresh diaper, then patted his little bottom, ”You little scoundrel, who are you going to pee on next?”

Hei Dou froze for a moment but soon pouted, tears beginning to well up in his eyes.

”Alright, Dad’s not blaming you,” Gu Qingheng hastily patted Hei Dou’s little belly gently, ”Don’t cry.” His son had a big voice; if he started crying, everyone in the courtyard could hear and they might come over to scold him.

Sure enough, his son wasn’t as adorable as his daughters; those two girls never peed all over the place, nor did they cry at the drop of a hat.

And indeed, Hei Dou didn’t cry, his pouting mouth slowly relaxed, and he made a couple of cooing sounds.

The two little sisters beside him also joined in, and the three little ones seemed to be having a conversation, though Gu Qingheng couldn’t understand a word.

Poor Qi Jingyun had rushed over for seven or eight days and hadn’t even had a sip of water before being sent packing by a mess of poop and pee from Hei Dou.

Although the Yang Family found it odd that he ran off as soon as he arrived, they didn’t ask and busied themselves boiling eggs instead.

The local custom was that when a family had a baby, three days later they would boil eggs and dye them red, then pair them with noodles to send to relatives, friends, and friendly neighbors, usually two red-shelled eggs per child.

And the families that received the eggs would come back during the child’s one-month celebration to ”return a soup rice gift,” which was a reciprocal gesture and also a way to gather blessings for the newborn.

At first glance, two eggs might not seem like much, but even that could be too much for an average family to give. However, Yang Ruxin’s family could afford it. With three children, each family was sent six red-shelled eggs, a rather large quantity, so practically the entire family was mobilized.

Gu Qingheng couldn’t help with that and could only go to the room to keep his wife company, yet he saw Yang Ruxin leaning against the bed in a daze. Unable to resist, he went over to sit beside her: ”Not resting properly, what are you thinking about?”
