Urban Divine Doctor Descends the Mountain

Chapter 295: Hurry up and meet Chief Lin, 295

A group of people surged forward, heading toward the department where Lin Dong was!

Lin Dong was, at the moment, explaining to the interns how to perform cupping therapy!

The interns listened with keen interest.

So did Gu Lingfei, who found Lin Dong’s lectures much more interesting than those of the college teachers.

Moreover, she discovered that they were much more effective!

In just a short while, Lin Dong had taught them how to treat two diseases using fire cupping.

No need for prescriptions, no injections, just cupping to cure diseases—that was amazing.

”Lin Dong, you were asked to teach them. Is this what you’re teaching?”

”Really, just like something a Barefoot Doctor would do, utterly misleading the youth!”

The superior, who had deliberately made things difficult for Lin Dong earlier to curry favor with Chen Tong, saw Lin Dong teaching the students this way and accused him.

Lin Dong replied in a deep voice, ”The things I teach can cure diseases, and the students are eager to learn. How is that misleading the youth?”

”Is it right to teach them like Western Doctors do, to subject patients to a barrage of instrument tests regardless of their condition? Is it correct to teach them to prescribe a pile of expensive Western drugs to patients? Is it proper to teach that you should treat the head for head ailments and the feet for foot ailments?”

Hearing Lin Dong’s rebuttal, the superior’s face turned red with embarrassment and anger.

He said furiously,

”What you’re teaching is Traditional Chinese Medicine, it’s all metaphysics! That is misleading the youth!”

”What’s wrong with Traditional Chinese Medicine? How is it metaphysics? How can TCM not cure diseases?” Lin Dong challenged again.

”Hmph, do you think you’re Vice Director Chen Tong? His Traditional Chinese Medicine can cure diseases, but you, stop misleading the youth...” the superior scoffed.

Gu Lingfei couldn’t stand it and spoke up for Lin Dong,

”But what Doctor Lin Dong teaches really can cure diseases!”

Others also chimed in,

”Exactly, the patients feel it can cure diseases, we have seen it with our own eyes that it can cure, only you think it can’t?”

”We enjoy such lectures!”

”...”

The students’ words further infuriated him.

He turned to Lin Dong, even more incensed, and said,

”Lin Dong, oh Lin Dong, the things you teach are akin to evil magic. How else could you bewitch these students? I think I need to propose to the leaders to suspend and dismiss you...”

However, before he could finish his speech, a commotion suddenly erupted inside the department.

Then a nurse on duty shouted out.

”Ah, President, Vice President, how come you are here?”

At that moment, the superior who was arguing with Lin Dong hurriedly turned his head.

And saw the hospital’s President, Vice President, and others.

Along with them were the old practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine he had seen at the Lecture Hall of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Those were big shots of the Southern Capital Medical Circle.

The words he had just spoken loudly had been heard by the Medicine King, Needle King, and others.

The Medicine King had an ugly expression and said sternly, ”Who just said that Traditional Chinese Medicine can’t cure diseases and is metaphysics?”

The superior who had troubled Lin Dong went pale, and he quickly explained with a trembling voice,

”Medicine Elder Wang... You misunderstand, I wasn’t saying that the Traditional Chinese Medicine of you esteemed seniors can’t cure diseases.”

”I was referring to this Visiting Doctor in our department. He’s so young and knows nothing yet has the audacity to teach the Medical University students. Isn’t that misleading the youth?”

Upon saying this, the faces of the Medicine King, Needle King, and others turned even uglier.

”You’re saying that our Leader’s Traditional Chinese Medicine can’t cure diseases? Where do you think you’re placing our Southern Faction of Traditional Chinese Medicine?” the Medicine King roared.

And with that statement, the accuser was stunned, ”Leader?”

The Medicine King and the others, at this point, completely ignored him.

Instead, everyone turned to Lin Dong and bowed, saying, ”We pay our respects to Chief Lin!!!”

Wow!!!

Upon their words, everyone was dumbstruck.

The superior who had just made things difficult for Lin Dong said in a stupor, ”He... He’s the Leader of the Southern Faction of Traditional Chinese Medicine? My God!!!”

Chen Tong was also stunned; he was just wondering who that Leader could be.

He never imagined it would be Lin Dong.

So shocked that he couldn’t even react,

Seeing this, his grandpa, the Fire Cupping King, asked with a frown, ”Grandson, what are you spacing out for? Hurry up and pay your respects to Chief Lin!!”

Chen Tong looked at Lin Dong, his face showing a complex mixture of emotions. In the end, he obediently lowered his head and bowed, saying,

”Member of the Traditional Chinese Medical Experts Chen Tong, pays respects to Chief Lin!!!”

Liao Ming was also taken aback at this moment; he never expected the real Leader to be Lin Dong.

No matter whom it would have been, he wouldn’t have felt this way. But why did it have to be Lin Dong.

Now thinking back to the words he had said to Lin Dong earlier, his face burned with humiliation.

He realized that he was the clown!

Gu Lingfei was also shocked, and then her eyes sparkled with excitement.

”So he was the Leader of the Southern Faction of Traditional Chinese Medicine. No wonder he said the other person wasn’t qualified to compare with him! It’s like comparing dragons to worms; there’s no basis for comparison! Ridiculously, just now, those two worms were jumping around like clowns!”

Looking at Lin Dong again, her gaze was completely different.

This man was becoming increasingly intriguing to her.

He could easily make a living on his looks, yet he chose to rely on his talent.

Inside the department, everyone else was equally shocked.

None of them would have thought that the humble Visiting Doctor who worked with them every day would turn out to be the Leader of the Southern Faction of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
