Chapter 252: Chapter 252: Who is the Dog After All?

The next day!

Lin Dong got out of bed, and Sister Bai Jue had already thoughtfully prepared breakfast for him.

After breakfast, Sister Bai Jue brought over a suit.

It was the new clothes he bought last time at Bai’s shop, still bearing the tag, which was priced at 300,000!

”Dongzi, wear this suit to Ye Linglong’s banquet today,” Bai Jue said with a smile.

She would also attend Ye Linglong’s banquet tonight.

After all, her status was different now, she was the daughter of Bai Zhonglou.

She took the invitation to Ye Linglong’s promotion banquet very seriously.

The reasons for her seriousness were not only because the hostess was the unreachable, greatly admired Ye Linglong of her past days, but more importantly, because she would be attending with Lin Dong.

She highly valued every moment spent with Lin Dong, let alone an occasion as significant as this.

Lin Dong nodded with a smile on his face and changed into the suit.

Once Lin Dong put on the suit, Bai Jue couldn’t take her eyes off him.

”Dongzi... you look too dashing!” Sister Bai Jue gasped subconsciously, covering her mouth.

Lin Dong shrugged his shoulders, ”Sister Bai Jue, love is blind, you’re exaggerating, aren’t you?”

”No, no, no, Dongzi, you really do look handsome! Handsomer than those stars, I really found a treasure,” Bai Jue said, holding Lin Dong’s arm and looking utterly satisfied.

Suddenly, a bold idea popped into her head.

”Um... Dongzi, it’s still early, why don’t you... put on this suit and let’s revise our dance lesson from last night?”

Upon hearing this, Lin Dong’s body stiffened.

Sister Bai Jue, it was as if her seal had been broken.

”Haha~ Just kidding with you, you have a lot to do today. As for the dance lesson, we can do it when we get back tonight.”

After saying this, her cheeks also blushed involuntarily.

Lin Dong did indeed have a lot to do today.

He had a lunch date with Qiao Bing.

And in the evening, he was to attend Ye Linglong’s promotion banquet.

He had taken the day off.

Even the workaholic Qiao Bing had rarely taken a day off.

The two had agreed to meet at a high-end chain Western restaurant.

After leaving home, Lin Dong hailed a taxi and reported the address.

Soon the taxi arrived at the parking lot of the Western restaurant.

After getting out of the car, Lin Dong was about to head for the main gate of the restaurant from the parking lot.

But at this moment, suddenly, a pit bull ran to Lin Dong’s feet and opened its mouth to bite him.

Lin Dong quickly dodged, but even so, his pants were torn by the bite.

His pants now had a hole in them!

Lin Dong couldn’t help feeling dismayed, as this was a 300,000 suit which had just been bitten by the pit bull.

”Damn it!” Lin Dong cried out, kicking the fierce pit bull with force and sending it flying several meters away.

In pain, it lay on the ground howling loudly!

This type of pit bull is specifically bred overseas for dog fights; they have a strong fighting capability, look for trouble, and like to fight.

Once they start fighting, it is to the point of fighting to death.

Now after being kicked by Lin Dong, the dog got up and charged fiercely again.

”Woof woof woof~” the dog barked loudly, rushing towards Lin Dong.

”Bang!” Lin Dong certainly didn’t spare it, kicking it away directly once more.

Perhaps seeing that Lin Dong was not to be trifled with, even the ferocious pit bull grew afraid.

After being kicked by Lin Dong, it lay there, not daring to move.

At that moment, from a Maybach car, a luxurious woman came out in a hurry and ran towards the pit bull.

”Xiao Liu, are you okay?”

It was clear that she was the dog’s owner.

The pit bull howled twice and whimpered in her arms as if it had suffered a great injustice.

It also looked humanely towards Lin Dong.

The woman’s gaze immediately turned to Lin Dong.

Then, holding the injured pit bull, she marched towards Lin Dong resentfully.

Come to settle in front of Lin Dong, she pointed at him and cursed loudly, ”You actually hurt Xiao Liu like this, apologize to my dog right now!”

Lin Dong gave her a look of disbelief, ”It bit me first and now you want me to apologize? Are you out of your mind?”

”What did you say? Not only did you hurt my dog without apologizing, but you also dare to insult me?” the woman said angrily.

Lin Dong was even more speechless, ”You don’t control your own dog, and pit bulls are naturally aggressive. You brought it out without a leash, and now it bites me first, yet instead of apologizing, you demand that I apologize to the dog?”

”What kind of reasoning is that?”

”Reasoning? The reasoning is that my dog is more valuable than you! Do you know that this dog cost me five million overseas, to buy the purest breed and trained by the best dog trainer!”

”Its body is more valuable than you are!”

He, Lin Dong, was really at a loss for words.

Some people might be so used to a life of privilege that they think their dogs are superior as well.

Lin Dong spoke with a heavy voice at that moment, ”If it’s that valuable, why don’t you call it master, and you can be its dog instead!”

”What did you say? You dare to insult me like that!!” the woman was hopping mad.

”Hmph, I’m not insulting you, I’m just stating the facts. Otherwise, why when a dog gets hurt from biting someone, you care for the dog first and still expect the person to apologize to it? If it isn’t your master, then why all the fuss?” Lin Dong sneered.

”You, just you wait, I’ll make sure your legs are broken...” the woman shouted loudly.

Turning her head to the Maybach behind her, she yelled out,

”Yanran Sister, please come help me out. There’s a bastard infuriating me here, quickly come help me break his arms and legs!”

As her voice rang out, Li Yanran, who had been watching the drama inside the Maybach, got out of the car somewhat reluctantly.

She gracefully walked towards them.

Lin Dong was also somewhat surprised to see her.

He did not expect this temperamental ’dog-loving lady’ to know Li Yanran.

What a small world indeed.

”Why do I run into you everywhere?” Lin Dong gave her a look and asked coldly.

Li Yanran too was helplessly smiling, spreading her hands, ”Lin Dong, what a coincidence, we meet again.”
