Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 593: Visiting Ninglan New City Again

Inside the laboratory.

At this moment, my busy figure shuttled back and forth in the laboratory.

Actually, I didn’t need to be this busy at all.

After that meeting with Big Sis Lina, after signing that contract, I could have prepared a bit and arrived at Ninglan New City directly through the teleportation channel.

However, I chose to stay behind to finalize the Seed of Great Knowledge Incubation Plan, which I hadn’t completely perfected yet.

Actually, regarding the plan of relying on the Tree of Knowledge to incubate the Seeds of Great Knowledge, I had already communicated with those Big Sis Witches in the laboratory right after I thought of it.

This idea was indeed very good, and those Big Sis Witches also felt that this was a very good line of thought.

If it could really be realized, then the plan for Information Grading of the Seed of Great Knowledge could be even more perfect.

Grading information from the source.

From basic grading cooperating with information grading, to technical grading, this is a huge project.

The reason why I haven’t been in a hurry to perfect this matter personally until now is that after I proposed this plan, it was actively contracted by the Big Sis Witches.

They were not afraid of failure, and neither was I.

I had already paved a successful start for them and pointed out the follow-up for them to take over.

And what I am busy with now is the handover of the breeding Seedlings of Knowledge.

After all, the Great Tree of Knowledge belongs to me completely.

Even if I wanted to take this Grand Spellbook out for everyone to research together, I couldn’t do it.

So strictly speaking, the research they need to conduct all starts from me at the very beginning.

And what I am doing now is constantly manufacturing Seeds of Great Knowledge for testing.

They don’t have the order of my Mental Realm Domain as an environment for cultivation, but they have the crystal medium simulating the Sea of Consciousness to simulate the cultivation environment.

They don’t have the ability to harness the Great Tree of Knowledge, this Grand Spellbook, but they have the Dual-Tree Structure and Power of Knowledge I bestowed as research tools.

It can be said that they can also do what I can do.

Even if this will be many times harder than for myself, they are willing to do so.

And this busyness kept me occupied directly until the next day.

”Little Han, heard that you seem to have signed the contract to go to the Expansion Realm?”

”Hm? That’s right, how did you guys know?”

After finishing the new day’s meditation, I looked at the few Big Sis Witches surrounding me and asked curiously.

”Ma We asked around.”

”Un un With us here in the laboratory, you can just go with ease.”

”Wait, why do you guys look like you don’t expect me to stay in the laboratory?”

I looked suspiciously at the few Big Sis Witches beside me.

Although I know that research related to the Great Tree of Knowledge and its derivative projects and research groups can proceed normally even without me, there’s no need to be so obvious, right?

”Ma If we let Little Han be so busy, wouldn’t it make us seem very useless? Naturally, there’s no need to trouble Little Han to exert that physical strength for things that can be completed by us.”

”What kind of weird idea is this! Can’t I just take advantage of some free time to come over and help?”

Looking at them like this, I ultimately couldn’t out-stubborn them and didn’t stay.

And not long after I left, a witch ran hurriedly to the research room.

And as soon as she arrived, she announced a matter with a face full of joy.

”Testing successful! The Great Knowledge Sharing Technique can really transmit information using knowledge as a carrier, and has passed the test in extreme void environments!”

***

At this moment, having left the laboratory and preparing to go back to pack some things for Ninglan New City, I suddenly received information sharing from within the Great Tree of Knowledge.

This information was shared by the Great Knowledge Sharing Technique, so after the information sharing was completed, I understood it at the first moment, just like a thought flashing by.

”This is... Great Knowledge Sharing Technique completing void environment testing... Hm? What’s the situation... What are they doing with my technique? Taking it to the void for testing... they really know how to play.”

After a simple understanding, I also roughly understood what the situation was.

Some time ago, after I handed over the derivative techniques of the Great Knowledge Sharing Technique to them, I didn’t bother with anything anymore.

And they conducted a series of tests without deliberately telling me.

Mainly, they wanted to test the range of this technique sharing, and even took it to the void outside the world for testing.

From the shared information, it seems they succeeded.

I have to say those witches really know how to play.

After all, I am not yet qualified to step into the void, but they have already gone to test it a step ahead.

Originally, I was thinking of taking this opportunity to plan a test in Ninglan New City to see if there is any obstruction in information acquisition between the Great Tree of Knowledge and the Seeds of Great Knowledge.

After all, there is a Core Realm and an Expansion Realm separating them, not on the same spatial layer.

However, looking at it now... the problem of knowledge circulation shouldn’t be big.

So I didn’t pay too much attention to this matter.

After all, even if they didn’t conduct the test, I would personally test it when I have the ability in the future.

So what they are doing now is just completing in advance what I would do in the future.

Back to business.

Now that I’m back home, although I said I needed to pack, thinking carefully, there isn’t much need.

For example, clothes, I have the Outfit-changing Spell.

Or some toiletries, after we arrive at Ninglan New City, hotel accommodation will be arranged for us there, and everything will be available.

So it seems I just need to bring myself over, not to mention I also have a storage equipment, in which I usually store a large amount of supplies.

Including but not limited to various clothes, utensils, Transcendent materials, etc.

I heard that the current Ninglan New City has changed greatly compared to the previous Ninglan New City.

With the infrastructure assistance from the Witch Academy, and under the influence of plans like Main World repair, Ninglan New City indeed should change in compliance with the times.

This is inevitable.

To be honest, I am also very looking forward to the changes there.

I wonder if the Extraordinary Research Base there, and the scholars there, are still around.

Oh, almost forgot one point.

The new City Lord of Ninglan New City, Ninglan Qiuyue, presumably she should also appear there.

And... Qiu Ruxin.

After all, the repair of the Expansion Realm used her former world.

The people still suffering there also share the blood of the same civilization as her.

But these are not things I need to think about too much.

Before leaving the Witch Academy, I still have one thing to do.

That is... to say a proper goodbye to Big Sis Bai.

Because this trip to Ninglan New City is another student-exclusive event, Big Sis Bai cannot accompany me again.

It’s somewhat regrettable.

After all, as a Transcendent Witch, there’s naturally no need to compete with students for resources.

Plus, Big Sis Bai has quite a few courses, and with the exchange learning of True Editing technology, her free time is actually not much.

I naturally won’t force this.

Moreover, between the Core Realm and the Expansion Realm, even Teleportation Spells can make round trips, so naturally there won’t be a situation where I can’t see Big Sis Bai for a long time.

And this farewell didn’t have any overly special farewell ceremony, just parting again with a light kiss, same as usual.

After parting, I arrived at the Teleportation Hall specifically set up for access to Ninglan New City.

This building originally belonged to a reserved planning area of the Witch Academy.

After all, the Witch Academy is huge; just picking a planning area to serve as the Teleportation Hall leading to Ninglan New City is naturally no problem at all.

”Seems there aren’t many people,” I murmured softly as I walked into the hall.

Looking at the slightly empty venue, I originally thought that after Ninglan New City officially opened, many people would come.

Even just coming to watch the fun or understand the situation in advance should be quite a few.

However... looking at it now, they should all be in the application review status.

Probably before the application is approved, they don’t even know where the Teleportation Hall is in the Witch Academy.

After arriving, the receptionist here stepped forward enthusiastically.

After a simple appraisal, I also roughly understood that these receptionists probably belong to the form of graduated seniors re-employed on campus.

After understanding some things with this receptionist, I roughly understood why it was relatively quiet here.

Reception here only started recently and hasn’t been officially announced on the academy system yet.

After all, the official opening of Ninglan New City is just recently.

I heard that this teleportation channel also had times of intermittent opening before, probably for the convenience of Ninglan Qiuyue.

As for Transcendent Mentors... they don’t need to specifically go through the main entrance.

Just like now, when I go out of the Witch Academy to Modu outside, I don’t need to use a special channel either.

Having that ability myself is not only convenient, but also to the extent that as long as no trouble is caused, no one cares about you.

After confirming my identity here, they prepared to take me directly to the location of the teleportation channel.

If I weren’t a teaching assistant, I reckon I would have to sign another Witch’s Contract and verify the application before entering.

But since I am a teaching assistant, naturally many procedures are directly omitted.

”Curious question, how many people have gone over in these two days?”

I asked curiously.

”If asking about those who went over in these two days, only six, all teaching assistants of the academy like you. As for specific information, I am...”

”No need for specific information, I was just asking out of curiosity.”

I also hurriedly stopped the other party.

After all, if I really wanted to know more specific information, I could know through the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell.

While walking towards this teleportation channel, this receptionist also told me quite a few things.

For example, after arriving at Ninglan New City, I will be welcomed by the City Defense Army over there.

And as a teaching assistant, after arriving there, I can also learn a lot of information directly from the City Defense Army, such as the current status of Ninglan New City, the status within the city, precautions, etc.

I can also take some paid tasks from there, such as tasks to help mine Transcendent energy mines that have been explored and marked.

After all, due to Transcendent radiation of energy mines and other reasons, ordinary people simply aren’t qualified to mine that mine.

Or mutated beast gathering places outside the city need clearing, etc.

Another point is that the Academy Network has been laid within Ninglan New City.

As long as one is within the city, one can link to the network unimpeded for communication.

However, if this network links with the academy side, there will be high latency.

After all, these two places are not on the same spatial layer.

Achieving communication is already a feat the Academy Network accomplished with the help of the Main World Earth Vein.

The laying of the Academy Network in Ninglan New City is mainly to perfect communication convenience within the city and interface with the academy.

For this, there are also some special tasks, which are to complete the establishment and protection of Academy Network base stations in some Earth Vein active areas outside the city.

”We can only escort you to here. After you arrive on the other side, there will be specialized City Defense Army personnel to arrange basic accommodation and so on for you. If there are any objections, you can raise them in time; they will satisfy all your reasonable requests as much as possible.”

”Thank you for your explanation.”

I also thanked her politely, then my gaze fell on this huge teleportation channel.

This kind of teleportation channel is in a permanently open state.

As for the consumption of this channel, it is naturally not worth mentioning.

After all, the energy required for ”opening” and ”maintaining” is different, so trying to save a little energy consumption is not as good as keeping it permanently open.

As I took a step out, I could feel a pressure originating from my body suddenly lessen.

That was the sense of imbalance produced by leaving the range shrouded by the Great Weakening Spell.

After I completely came over, I adapted in just a moment.

After all, I was mentally prepared long ago.

”Respected visitor of the Witch Academy, I am the City Defense Army soldier responsible for receiving you in Ninglan New City. Next, I will guide you to familiarize yourself with this miracle of civilization, Ninglan New City.”

When I arrived here, the City Defense Army neatly lined up around showed their momentum, and the one leading used formulaic sentences to give me the briefest introduction and welcome.

”Un, then sorry to trouble you.”

I also nodded without making things too difficult for them, then followed him away from the teleportation channel.

When I came out of this building, I discovered that this place pointed directly to that huge stone stele in the very center of Ninglan New City!

Coming out, there was a huge plaza, and the most dazzling landmark building.

”The plaza you are currently in is...”

”I know this place, no need to elaborate too much. Just now you called yourselves City Defense Army. Is the highest officer of the current City Defense Army still Mo Le?”

I asked curiously.

After all, when I first arrived at Ninglan New City, the one I met was Mo Le.

I still had some impression.

”This... yes.”

This City Defense Army soldier wasn’t annoyed upon hearing me interrupt him like this.

After all, these figures coming from this teleportation channel were not people they could afford to provoke.

However, hearing a familiar name from the other party’s mouth, he was instantly surprised, ”This guest, have you been to Ninglan New City before?”

”Sort of. Let’s not talk about this. Take me to the accommodation first and solve those food and lodging problems. I plan to stroll around the city after finishing.” I said.

Currently looking, not much change in Ninglan New City can be seen from this plaza, but the floor tiles of this plaza... seem to have all been renovated.

Just this item alone is estimated to be a big project for Ninglan New City.

However, after I arrived at Ninglan New City, I have been doing one thing, which is collecting Earth Vein information of Ninglan New City through the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell to construct and perfect the topography of this city.

And not long after, I completed the collection of this information.

During this period, I also familiarized myself with the hotel I’m staying in, as well as dining and other issues.

After solving the most basic food and lodging problems, there aren’t too many things to worry about next, and I’m ready to send this City Defense Army soldier away.

”I don’t have anything else here, you go first. Oh right, if you go back and see Mo Le, bring a message for me. Just say I, Yang Yuehan, came over. She should still remember this name.”

I said.

Of course, asking him to bring a message is mainly to remind her.

After all, the other party might not recognize my current appearance, but she definitely still remembers my name.

When going out of the city later, regarding obtaining initial intelligence, I will definitely need the help of the City Defense Army.

Instead of communicating with some insignificant City Defense Army soldiers, it’s more efficient to communicate face-to-face with that highest officer.

Of course, the premise is that she isn’t too busy.

If she is too busy, I can’t be bothered to disturb them.

”Yang Yuehan... Yang Yuehan? Wait, you said you are Yang Yuehan? That Scholar Xiao Han?”

”Oh? You’ve also heard this name?”

I raised my eyes to look at him, somewhat surprised.

Didn’t expect a small soldier of the City Defense Army to recognize me too?

”Of course, of course we know, but... but I remember Scholar Xiao Han doesn’t seem to be...”

”Experienced an accident, appearance changed a bit. If Mo Le can contact Ninglan Qiuyue, she should be able to testify for me. Un, that’s all for now. You don’t need to come over to disturb me.”

”Yes, Scholar Xiao Han.”

At this moment, even the way this City Defense Army soldier addressed me changed.

Without saying more, he left directly.

And I watched the departing figure of the other party, somewhat curious.

Didn’t expect the title ”Scholar Xiao Han” to still be circulating in Ninglan New City until now?

This is indeed somewhat beyond my expectations.

Wonder who exactly is fueling the flames behind this.

But one thing is certain: since this reputation is still there, then my actions within Ninglan New City will probably be much more convenient.

Subsequently sighing, with a wave of my hand, a spell holographic image constructed by the Great Tree of Knowledge appeared in front of me.

This is the brand new appearance of Ninglan New City at this moment that I collected through the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell along the way.

”This place is the plaza and the stone stele... Didn’t expect Ninglan New City to have expanded this big now? These buildings are also newly built. This circle is the old city wall. This was the former strategic buffer zone. Then here... This is really a miracle.”

Looking at Ninglan New City shrunk like a sand table at this moment, I also let out a series of exclamations.
