Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 589: The Opening of Ninglan New City

After I left the villa amidst their farewells, I roughly understood that I probably wouldn’t see them many more times in the future.

The Seed of Great Knowledge, which had not undergone Information Grading, had been given to them, and the opportunity had also been presented to them.

If anyone among them could grasp the opportunity, perhaps we could meet again in another way.

If they couldn’t grasp the opportunity... maybe there wouldn’t even be a chance to meet again.

To be honest, on this journey, the time they spent with me wasn’t much.

Actually, I didn’t really want to mention this point, because in my initial positioning, they were anchored to the concept of ”friends.”

But all good things must come to an end.

Being in the same dormitory just gives the illusion of being on the same level, but this is still an ending where everyone goes their separate ways eventually.

Whether we will meet again in the future depends on our own abilities.

Walking on the way back.

This time I was going to Big Sis Natalie’s alchemy lab.

After the cooperation of these days, Natalie could be considered to have completed the major modification of the Book in the Casket.

During this period, Natalie called me over several times and carried out three stages of debugging and one last major modification.

Big Sis Natalie was also ready to let me pick it up in the last two days.

However, today I just happened to bump into those guys being in the dormitory, so I came here first.

But... before that, another big event should happen today.

I unfolded the Destiny Gazing Technique.

Because I didn’t have the precise instruments in Academy Head Mei’s office to assist, much of the information deduced was ambiguous.

But even so, as time passed, many things became clear.

I walked with brisk steps, snapping my fingers.

As if time had reached a certain node, a huge disturbance came from the sky above the Witch Academy.

Many people subconsciously looked up, while those familiar with this scene weren’t startled by this commotion.

Because this was the posture of the Curtain Wall that shrouded the entire Witch Academy opening.

The last time such a big movement occurred was the last time.

Unsurprisingly, people from other Transcendent Academies had come again.

And at this time, I also received a notification from the personal academy system on the Academy Network.

It was something related to exchange students.

I found that every time the Witch Academy could clearly foresee when something was roughly going to happen, it just wouldn’t notify in advance, but notify when it happened.

However, this matter... has become interesting.

And this time the exchange students weren’t a mutual exchange of students, but a one-sided exchange.

Other Transcendent Academies sending students to the Witch Academy, that was roughly the meaning.

To ensure that the Witch Academy wouldn’t play dirty, the Academy Head signed a Witch’s Contract on behalf of all Transcendent Witches, guaranteeing not to take this opportunity to forcibly abduct their students.

This information was recorded in the information Head Bev shared with me last time.

Although there was a record, I didn’t know what kind of trick this was.

Even with the excuse of exchange and learning, I wouldn’t be fooled by such a childish explanation.

”Hmm... That tree from Aphrodite Academy... Behind it is... the Holy Angel’s...”

I looked at the commotion in the distance, but ultimately shifted my attention away from it.

No matter how many schemes they had, it wasn’t as important as me going to get my Book in the Casket now.

Just as I was thinking this, a call came directly.

Looking at the caller ID, I was also a bit surprised, because the one contacting me was Teacher Lina, the Director of the newcomer grade, whom I hadn’t seen much for a while.

I quickly picked up the communication, but it seemed that because Teacher Lina was also using the Tree of Knowledge to connect externally to the Academy Network, a video feed was displayed after connecting.

”Teacher Lina, long time no see. Is there something you’re calling about suddenly?”

I asked first.

”Little Han, are you free right now? Hmm... are you outside?”

”Yes, I don’t have anything major to do, just on my way to pick something up. If Teacher Lina has something, you can say it directly.”

”I’m going to discuss something here later. If you’re interested, you can come over. I know you’re a bit busy now. If you choose not to come, it’s no big deal. I can reveal to you that it’s related to Ninglan New City.”

Lina said with a smile.

Actually, in the Witch Academy, besides following the mentor for auxiliary teaching, teaching assistants also have many other voluntary labor duties.

For example, the monthly exam proctoring I experienced back then, and that time with the league, etc.

There were even roles like team leaders for some high-risk missions issued by the academy, etc.

But me... it seemed I didn’t have much sense of participation.

From Lina’s attitude towards arranging things for me, she was also very willing to respect my wishes.

”Ninglan New City?”

Hearing Teacher Lina say this, I indeed became interested.

Inferring from this time period, the Expansion Realm where Ninglan New City is located should be merging with the small world, right?

Or has the merging already been completed?

Clearly, I heard before that this process would take several years to reach the final wrap-up stage...

”Yes, looks like you’re very interested? Do you want me to send you the address of the conference room and the start time?”

”Un, okay, sorry to trouble Teacher Lina.”

In the end, I nodded and agreed.

After all, even though my status has risen a lot after experiencing so many things, when facing Transcendent Mentors, I personally feel that the most basic respect should still be maintained.

Of course, Transcendent Mentors outside the Witch Academy are exceptions.

After all, I still hold a grudge for what happened some time ago.

Visiting Big Sis Natalie’s place again, after getting my final Book in the Casket, I also left happily.

After all, just one weapon consumed a vacation’s time plus the time from the start of school until now for Natalie.

As for the remuneration... hmm, the remuneration was paid for me by Academy Head Mei, and incidentally, Natalie also privately kept some scraps of precious materials.

Looking at the brand new Book in the Casket, I simply couldn’t put it down!

Compared to the previous Book in the Casket which was merely a tool, the Book in the Casket at this moment was a weapon truly recognized by me!

I pulled the book inside out of the casket, opened the pages, and stroked it lightly, still able to feel the grain of the wood.

After a major modification, a new ”material” was added to the Book in the Casket, which was my Seed of Great Knowledge.

The biggest major modification of the Book in the Casket was the change made because of this Seed of Great Knowledge.

At this moment, the frame structure of the Book in the Casket completely abandoned the original construct technique and instead used the Seed of Great Knowledge as the frame.

This was a very crazy concept I proposed, and Big Sis Natalie made some modifications to my idea and realized it in a reasonable way.

The Book in the Casket at this moment could be said to be a ”growing Seed of Great Knowledge.”

Using the Seed of Great Knowledge as the frame, letting the Tree of Knowledge discard the original outline of a tree, carrying the frame of the book and those transmuted components, finally constituting this New Book in the Casket.

It could be said that the Book in the Casket at this moment has become a weapon that truly belongs to me.

Even if others snatch it away, it is nearly impossible to use.

Except for using it to smash people, but that really makes it no different from a brick.

At this moment, I closed the book, opened my right hand and pressed it gently on the cover of the book.

The Power of Knowledge began to surge through the book, and an illusory tree shadow extended from above the book.

Subsequently, I opened the book again.

Annotations formed by the Power of Knowledge floated out and surrounded the tree shadow...

At this time, the Book in the Casket could perfectly connect and integrate into my domain order, becoming a weapon that could truly carry and harness the Power of Knowledge!

Previously in the dungeon, that saber strike I slashed out seemed very terrifying, but that flying saber glow didn’t have much to do with the saber I held in my hand at that time.

It played more of an ”imagery” of attack, a form used to anchor the order into an attack within the domain.

And now, the Book in the Casket can truly carry the Power of Knowledge.

Then regarding that saber it collected, slashing out with one strike, slashing out in the manner of Body Cultivation Energy, then this energy saber glow is the reshaping of order.

Even... the Book in the Casket can also serve as an extension of my domain.

After all, the range covered by the domain is limited, but the range the Book in the Casket is thrown by me will definitely exceed this boundary.

Just a pity... as the range affected by the power I master becomes larger and larger, many methods gradually cannot be deployed.

At least they cannot be used within the Witch Academy, otherwise, it would be looking for trouble.

After all, when perfecting the Great Tree of Knowledge back then, the displayed phenomena needed special announcements to explain.

If I looked for trouble for no reason, that really shouldn’t be done.

At this moment, I looked at the address and time Teacher Lina sent me, and went over at a pace that was neither fast nor slow.

The address of the meeting was actually a very ordinary conference room in the Central Teaching Area, but it seemed to be the type of a grand conference room.

By the time I arrived there, quite a few people had already gathered.

Just a simple glance at everyone present, most were unfamiliar faces.

However, after appraising, I gained some understanding of them.

Those present were basically all teaching assistants of the Witch Academy.

And my arrival naturally attracted the attention of many people.

This very unified action was truly the highest level of attention they gave.

Only then followed waves of whispered discussions.

Perhaps they thought such whispered discussions were very quiet, but I could basically hear them all, though I couldn’t be bothered to haggle with them.

Behaving as if nothing happened, I scanned the people present with my gaze, and finally saw Teacher Lina chatting with another mentor at the front.

She also subconsciously looked up at me, then nodded and smiled at me as a gesture, meaning for me to make myself comfortable.

There was still a while before this impromptu meeting started.

Just as I was choosing which corner to go to, a voice and a slightly exaggerated movement attracted my gaze.

Following the line of sight, I saw a girl with cat ears waving at me.

And this person was exactly that Liffia whom I was fairly familiar with, the trouble-making cat girl who wrote a self-reflection directly in my face during the joint exam.

Since she gestured for me to go over so enthusiastically, I didn’t stand on ceremony and walked straight over.

Compared to sitting quietly alone in a corner versus sitting with a familiar friend, I still reluctantly chose the latter.

”Little Han Didn’t expect you to come too?”

As soon as I sat down, Liffia took the initiative to strike up a conversation with me.

”Un, after all, I was called here by a phone call from Teacher Lina, so naturally I have to make time to come.”

I said very naturally.

”Phone call? Big Sis Xiao Han, you really are amazing. We all came after receiving notification messages.”

”Is that so? Then maybe I was notified impromptu.”

I chuckled lightly and said.

Only then did Liffia introduce the few sisters around her to me.

These were all people Liffia could hang out with, so their temperaments were naturally very similar to Liffia’s.

Almost all of them were the type who were relatively extroverted, talkative, and quirky in character.

Moreover, they were curious about everything, and their topics were also very direct and jumpy.

They were also very curious about me.

After all, they were extremely curious about this legendary teaching assistant who was ”apotheosized” directly because of one battle and one saber strike!

”Big Sis Xiao Han, are you unwilling to share your growth process with us? Rumors outside say you might... Eh eh! Is that Lilianna? She actually came over too!”

”For real? Didn’t I hear she was beaten into autism in the last few days of the vacation? She adjusted her mindset so quickly?”

”If the current her sees Big Sis Xiao Han here, I guess her expression must be very exciting!”

After seeing a familiar figure, these few openly started discussing, as if afraid the other party wouldn’t hear.

And Lilianna, as they wished, subconsciously looked towards her, until her gaze paused after seeing me, her pupils shrinking subconsciously.

Coupled with the slightly exaggerated laughter of those few on the side, Lilianna could no longer bear it and looked away, finally sitting down in the place furthest from us.

”Wow... first time seeing Lilianna yield...”

”She actually chose to escape? Big Sis Xiao Han, I wasn’t present at the time, did you do something even more excessive to her?”

”Yeah yeah, tell us the details of that time!”

On the side, Liffia took the lead in heckling, but they didn’t dare to be too loud.

However, even so, the commotion created here was indeed a bit large.

For a moment, I somewhat regretted coming here.

I subconsciously looked at a certain corner with no people; maybe I should have chosen there just now.

However, even so, no one raised any objections to the noise here.

Until the deadline, everyone had successively gathered here.

Scanning roughly, the number of teaching assistants present had reached around forty or fifty.

This was the first time I saw such a scene of so many teaching assistants gathering together; it was truly somewhat magnificent.

They had basically all broken away from that kind of immaturity belonging to students, and many even had a trace of that temperament belonging to mentors.

”Un, good, basically everyone is here, so I won’t talk nonsense.”

At this moment, Teacher Lina glanced slightly at the time, then walked to the front of the conference table.

With just one sentence, everyone present quieted down.

”Calling you here for this meeting is mainly because there is a long-term task to be handed over to you. Those who can appear here are basically those we consider to meet the requirements, and this matter has also been mentioned to your mentors, so you don’t need to have too much burden.”

”Now let’s get to the main topic. Just not long ago, our Witch Academy decided to officially open the teleportation channel leading to Ninglan New City. Presumably, some of you should have heard the name of Ninglan New City. However, I will introduce this city called Ninglan New City to you in detail later. Before that, I want to tell you why I am mentioning this place to you.”

”Because in the coming semester, Ninglan New City will be open to students. Upper-grade students can apply in advance, and upon approval, they can enter. Among them, lower-grade students who want to enter need to meet the requirements of course exemption and active application.”

”The subjects of this opening to students also include the students of various Transcendent Academies who are about to conduct exchanges with our Witch Academy.”

”Next, I want to emphasize this matter: it is not allowed to stuff Magic Power Sources into the bodies of exchange students in any form. Even attempts are not allowed, understand!”
