Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 590: Civilization Reconstruction or Bandits Entering?

This meeting lasted for a long time.

After all, the academy had not made too many formal announcements to the public regarding Ninglan New City.

Most people present who knew about it had found out through their own inquiries.

So Lina naturally had to explain it in detail.

I also listened very carefully down below.

After all, I hadn’t been there for a while, so my understanding of that place was about the same as everyone else present.

Perhaps Ninglan Qiuyue’s Tree of Knowledge recorded a lot of relevant information, but under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t infringe on others’ privacy like this.

At most, I would just check the transcribed information after the observation of the Great Tree of Knowledge.

This is a matter of principle.

Teacher Lina did not describe the place where Ninglan New City was located as another world, but as another spatial layer of our world, and frankly called it the ”Expansion Realm.”

However, Lina didn’t talk much about the hierarchical structure of the world, nor did she explain the origin of the Expansion Realm, etc.

So after the location description was finished, came the unfolding of the event.

In the Expansion Realm, a small world from outside the world merged with our world, and merged into the Expansion Realm.

As for how it merged, it was glossed over without much explanation.

Suddenly, a world’s worth of humans appeared on it.

It was equivalent to their own world being destroyed and transmigrating to the Expansion Realm of our world.

This was the current situation described by Teacher Lina.

And our task is to arrive at the Expansion Realm and carry out civilization reconstruction work for those ordinary people.

This long-term mission will last until the end of this semester.

Throughout the process, apart from not being allowed to carry out large-scale slaughter of innocents, there are no other mandatory mission requirements.

Even if you just go in to wander around, it’s fine.

When the time comes, we will arrive at Ninglan New City through the academy’s teleportation gate.

Ninglan New City currently belongs to the Witch Academy.

The City Lord of this city has also entered the Witch Academy, so this is one of the reasons why various Transcendent Academies are so active in coming for exchange.

Although each Transcendent Academy has means to reach the Expansion Realm, and the destruction of the Expansion Realm is also closely related to them, going over like that would be too shabby.

The entire Expansion Realm, apart from Ninglan New City, is a scene of ”a thousand things waiting to be done” everywhere else.

There’s really no need to be born with such a starting point lower than others.

The Expansion Realm, a completely new region for the Main World.

After the Earth Vein connection and repair are completed, it is incorporated into the Main World, and what follows immediately is the recovery of the Main World’s Destiny.

This long-term mission also briefly listed a lot of mission lists.

Although it is said that there are no mandatory missions, if someone really just wanders around, they might as well just slack off in the academy.

Glancing briefly at these missions, most of them are also very simple.

The main one is clearing out the mutated beasts rampaging in the Expansion Realm.

I have some impression of this.

The Expansion Realm back then was exposed to the void environment, and massive energy radiation and tides soaked the lands outside the protection of the Earth Vein fracture.

And terrifying mutated beasts were spawned in the ruins there.

However... their strength is very average.

There isn’t even a very clear level classification for the mutated beasts.

Most of their strength is directly proportional to their body size.

At most, some of their body organs mutated characteristics adaptable to this primal energy, and they can simply use this energy to carry out Transcendent attacks.

Furthermore, as teaching assistants present, if we encounter students in distress during this mission, we should lend a helping hand.

If we encounter students’ corpses, we have the obligation to bring them to Ninglan New City, where teachers specializing in Resurrection Spells will perform resurrections.

Then there are seeing some distress signals marked by the academy.

If possible, rush over to help as soon as possible.

After finishing these, we entered the next key point.

Which is the benefits obtainable after arriving at the Expansion Realm this time.

This time, we can obtain many precious Transcendent materials in the Expansion Realm.

For this, Teacher Lina even specially brought out some samples for us to see.

Among them, there are many materials that everyone present has never seen before.

But I obtained more information through the Earth Vein Appraisal Spell.

The generation of these materials basically all evolved from ”World Primordial Soil”.

Seeing the World Primordial Soil, I understood.

This is one of the ”Three Source Elements of the World” mentioned previously, a rare Transcendent material produced after the world’s drastic changes.

Not only these Transcendent materials, but the Expansion Realm also has many opportunities, such as some crystals where high concentrations of Transcendent energy gather.

These crystals also have their own classifications.

If encountered later, the academy will also issue some temporary missions to help with the mining of these crystals.

Of course, these missions are paid missions with generous rewards.

And generally, the appearance of these Transcendent crystals is also related to the Three Source Elements of the World, specifically the ”Transcendent Primordial Crystal” among them.

Transcendent Primordial Crystals, under high energy levels and uncontrolled conditions, form various Transcendent crystals as the energy level drops.

Generally speaking, this situation will radiate across a whole area.

This is the reason for the formation of these Transcendent crystal mines.

Logically speaking, these also belong to the category of Transcendent materials.

When talking about these Transcendent crystals, Teacher Lina also mentioned to us to be careful of the surrounding mutated beasts.

After all, mutated beasts will also be attracted by this high concentration of Transcendent energy, and uncontrollable mutations might occur at that time.

Moreover, ordinary people exposed to the radiation range of these mines will also undergo mutations.

Such people can be killed directly because this kind of sudden mutation will also impact cognition, turning them into unconscious lunatics.

At the same time, she also reminded us to take good protective measures after arriving here.

For this kind of energy radiation, generally using protective spells of the same source energy will suffice.

This type of protective spell can absorb those uncontrolled energy radiations due to its characteristics.

And finally, the resource placed last by Lina was also introduced to us.

In the Expansion Realm, we might also encounter some special crystals, temporarily named Unstable Soul Crystals.

Soul Crystals can be absorbed by life after being refined through special methods, and then improve one’s own life level.

Hearing such an effect immediately invigorated everyone’s spirit!

Including me as well!

This is a good thing that can improve one’s own life level!

However... after I appraised the sample in Lina’s hand, a chill instantly ran down my spine, and I calmed down.

This so-called Unstable Soul Crystal is essentially the condensed state of ”Soul-substance” among the Three Source Elements of the World.

What is Soul-substance?

Soul-substance is the foundation for the birth of life consciousness in the world.

Every unit of Soul-substance might have once been a person in history...

So absorbing Soul-substance is essentially not much different from ”eating people,” especially since the life essence of all the teaching assistants present is Soul-substance.

Only I and those few witches present have the soul life essence.

But even so, Soul-substance can also transform into a soul.

Perhaps those who know the truth won’t be able to cross that hurdle in their hearts.

But... I won’t.

It’s just mere Soul-substance.

When a person dies, everything about them becomes meaningless.

Perhaps... this is one of the reasons why Transcendents view non-Transcendent people so inhumanely, right?

When stepping onto this path, absorbing Soul-substance to improve one’s own life level, then... those Soul-substances circulating in the Earth Vein under the world’s domination are no different from the life living in the world.

Because... they are all resources that can be utilized!

Only by severing the Earth Vein Chains and breaking away from the world’s operating rules can one be conceptually acknowledged as an independent individual.

Otherwise, life bound by Earth Vein Chains is merely a resource that birthed consciousness within a huge Soul-substance resource treasury.

I’m afraid the Soul-substance in the Expansion Realm is the Soul-substance that was still circulating in the Earth Vein within that small world back then.

However, a considerable portion of the Soul-substance in that small world seemed to have been harvested by players as well.

It’s just that the players’ harvesting methods were very crude.

They seemed unable to extract Soul-substance directly from the Earth Vein, but instead fought against the Earth Vein to seize Soul-substance by killing people.

Gaze returning to this meeting.

What Teacher Lina said are the resources attracting everyone to go to the Expansion Realm.

Such opportunities can only be met by luck and not sought after.

As long as one has a bit of luck, one can get rich overnight!

And the benefits within naturally aren’t just these.

There are also some Earth Vein Crystals, etc., which is also one of the reasons why general students are allowed to enter.

As long as one has some ability, one won’t return empty-handed from the Expansion Realm.

That place is a treasure trove waiting to be developed!

However... sitting below, listening to Teacher Lina emphasize these resources like this, I wasn’t as excited as the others.

Because I’m only somewhat interested in the Soul Crystals among them, so I wasn’t overly agitated.

I am very clear about my goal.

Within the Witch Academy, my goal is to achieve Transcendent Witchhood, not to build a wealth-gathering machine.

Soul Crystals can allow me to advance to a witch faster.

After all, life level is my fatal weakness.

As for the rest... let’s talk about it later.

However, I am somewhat curious.

Does Teacher Lina really mean to send us over to help those people rebuild civilization by saying this?

Putting it this way, it’s simply letting a group of bandits in!

After sighing for the people of that world, I didn’t think too much more about it.

This matter doesn’t need me to worry about.

Since the academy arranged it this way, then naturally I’ll follow the arrangement.

After that, Teacher Lina also narrated some other precautions, and it came to the end.

And finally, all the teaching assistants present signed a Witch’s Contract.

This contract is comprehensive and can directly record the information of this operation into the mind, just like the Language Witch’s Contract.

After signing it, one can master the information of this language.

Many witches who have just arrived in the Main World will choose to sign one.

And there are also many mandatory requirements in it, such as not being allowed to kill each other, nor maliciously killing students, including students from other Transcendent Academies.

And it also emphasized that one cannot stuff Magic Power Sources into students of other Transcendent Academies.

Sure enough, this point was not left out.

Not only us teaching assistants entering the Expansion Realm need to sign this Witch’s Contract, but all those applying to enter must also sign, to abide by some rules and understand some basic information.

However, the content of the Witch’s Contract they sign is a bit different from us teaching assistants.

After all, teaching assistants either master strength more terrifying than general students, or master more profound techniques, such as alchemy, potions, or even elixirs, etc., so our contract restrictions are also more numerous.

With the signing of the contract, this convened meeting also came to an end.

Finally, with Teacher Lina’s dismissal, this meeting truly ended.

Everyone also left their seats while discussing spiritedly.

After all, the information announced in this meeting was really too explosive.

The saturated information gave them an extremely strong desire to confide, and as soon as they left their seats, they started various discussions with their besties and friends beside them.

”Ne Big Sis Xiao Han, Big Sis Xiao Han. Heard you were also an experiencer of the Sleeping Curse back then. Can you tell us about your experience at that time?”

”Yeah, this time I’m going to start with Ninglan New City as the starting point. Tell us about what you saw and heard back then!”

”Hm? Wasn’t this matter rumored widely back then? So many personal experiencers posted their own stories on the Academy Network. You can find a large batch just by searching randomly, right?”

I opened my mouth and asked.

”Aiyaya Reading others blow their own trumpets awkwardly there is so boring. I’m still curious about your story, Big Sis Xiao Han. It must be more representative! Heard that Big Sis Xiao Han, you shone brilliantly back then! Having an important influence on the situation of Ninglan New City!”

”Yeah yeah! So I’m still curious what exactly you did back then, Big Sis Xiao Han.”

”Didn’t do much really... If I really have to say... just the old City Lord of Ninglan New City was bewitched by the Nightmare Demon, then his son wanted to violently overthrow his rule, but eventually that son was also secretly bewitched... hm?”

Just as I was preparing to briefly recount the things that happened to me in Ninglan New City, a figure walked up from behind me through the crowd.

”Yang Yuehan...”

”Who called me?”

I subconsciously turned my head back, only to see a figure right behind me.

The other people on the side consciously made some space, stopping to look like they were watching the fun.

”Oh... it’s you. Looking for me for what?”

I looked at Lilianna at this moment.

She no longer had that arrogant air from when she encountered me previously, and had even become somewhat silent.

Lilianna obviously took a deep breath, and then spoke with a heavy tone, ”Yang Yuehan... I want to challenge you... to fight another match with me in the arena!”

”Just this? Boring.”

Hearing her words, I also frowned, and finally dismissed her with a single sentence of ’boring’.

After all, fighting her again is meaningless to me.

Maybe I can test my brand new Book in the Casket through her, but obviously testing it in the Expansion Realm is more convenient.

I don’t necessarily need to fight her again.

Moreover... there is no profit in fighting her!

The first time I fought her, I grew a lot and understood a lot of information about the opponent, including but not limited to the opponent’s fighting style, etc.

But asking me to fight her one more time, and in a place like the arena for so many people to watch, that’s largely unnecessary.

”You! You stand... wait for me!”

Lilianna saw that I simply ignored her and spoke up immediately.

And the few teaching assistants on the side, seeing this appearance, also couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

After all, she challenged someone, only to receive a sentence of ”boring” from the other party.

How interesting is this?

Lilianna’s name is also quite famous in the circle of teaching assistants.

How could she stand this kind of treatment?

”Is there anything else? If you want to regain the face from before, it’s largely unnecessary.”

”Exactly, just recovered from injuries and want to come challenge again? How can your face be so big?”

At this moment, the few people beside me also retorted unceremoniously.

Everyone is at the level of teaching assistant, no one is afraid of anyone.

Lilianna can’t find a single bit of superiority in terms of status.

”Could it be that you were bewitched by someone again and used as a gun? Wasn’t it rumored a few days ago that you were squatting in some corner in autism?”

”Liffia...! You are just my defeated opponent. What are you being arrogant for? I am challenging Yang Yuehan, not you. Get out of the way.”

Lilianna stepped forward and pushed away Liffia, who was fanning the flames on the side, and stood in front of me.

Her height was a cut above mine, looking down at me like this, hoping to use this to increase a trace of oppressive feeling for herself.

”I challenge you, do you dare to accept?”

”I ask you, have you grown during this period? Have you become stronger? What exactly gave you the courage to provoke me again?”

I also asked unceremoniously.

”Of course... back then your victory was unfair. I need another match!”

”Then do you know what the power of the last strike I gave you exactly was?”

”It’s... it’s... just a spellbook I haven’t seen before.”

Lilianna didn’t know how to answer my question, but still stubbornly gave a wrong answer.

”Spellbook? Is that how you understand it? Alright... as long as you don’t understand what that power is for a day, you are not qualified to fight me.”

Hearing the opponent pretending to understand when she didn’t, I was about to laugh.

Already a teaching assistant, the brain should have some brains, right?

”Not qualified... could it be you want to say that the majority of people present are not qualified!”

Following my words, Lilianna was dumbfounded.

This was simply a humiliation to her!

Everyone is a teaching assistant.

You saying I don’t have the qualification to fight means the other party considers herself a level higher than her.

Even... the majority of people present were included in this map cannon!

Because they also didn’t know what exactly that power was, only hearing that the power of that saber strike severing the dungeon was extremely terrifying.

Only a few people had inquired their mentors at that time, but after getting the answer, they were struck again.

Their only comfort at this moment was that they hadn’t fought with the opponent, so it didn’t count as losing.

At this moment, although they knew the situation, they remained silent, only secretly unwilling in their hearts.

People in high positions always have a burden they can’t put down themselves.

Not everyone can generously admit that they are inferior to others.
