Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 586: The First Spellbook I Want to Personally Make

Morning.

“Mmm-ying... Mmm? Ah wu.”

I let out a soft moan, yawned lightly, and stretched languidly on the bed with a trace of sleepiness, my consciousness gradually awakening within the covers.

After a few sounds of my reaching hands patting the bedding on one side, there was only a trace of warmth left from last night, but no other figure.

“Mmm? Why is Big Sis Bai up so early?”

Only when I realized Big Sis Bai wasn’t in bed did I gently rub the corner of my eye and sit up.

My consciousness gradually cleared, and then I softly pushed the blanket aside.

My fair thighs moved to the edge of the bed, my bare feet lightly touching the soft carpet.

My hands formed a loose grasp in front of my chest, and a set of casual clothes materialized fitting my body.

I took the opportunity to straighten my collar, then leaned forward slightly, and a leather thigh strap encircled my upper thigh, which I gently tied.

Finally, I pushed off the bed surface with both hands to stand up.

A spell mirror without thickness appeared before me.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I gently lifted the hair from my forehead with one hand.

It was a day full of vitality.

Then I turned around to look at last night’s battlefield; with a snap of my fingers, everything became clean and tidy.

A new day had begun!

“Big Sis Bai Up so early?”

The moment I opened the door, I heard movement from the kitchen downstairs, so I quickly went downstairs and saw Big Sis Bai preparing breakfast.

“Little Han woke up so early?”

“Of course, what else?”

I replied as a matter of course.

“If it were before... you wouldn’t be able to get out of bed.”

“Hehe, if Big Sis Bai likes it this way, I can pretend I can’t get out of bed next time to cooperate with you.”

I sat on one side of the dining table, looking at Big Sis Bai expectantly.

“Today’s breakfast looks quite good.”

“Yes, after all, it’s to replenish your body a bit for Little Han,” Big Sis Bai said as she brought the morning meal in front of me.

“It’s only occasionally.”

I picked up the spoon and looked at the now very thick nutritional meat porridge.

I gently scraped a layer of the porridge skin and rice oil and put it into my mouth; I had to say this tasted truly delicious!

As the first mouthful entered my stomach, my whole body felt warm.

“So delicious! Just one bite and my lower abdomen feels warm. Big Sis Bai, you didn’t add anything strange inside, did you?”

“I did add some herbs inside,” Big Sis Bai said with a triumphant smile, then explained again, “They are all herbs to nourish the body, meant to replenish you well, so... this can be considered a medicinal porridge.”

“I think Big Sis Bai should eat more! You also need to replenish yourself well. Think hard about why I can get out of bed today? Was it because you weren’t trying hard enough last night? You always used to be unable to get out of bed.”

I teased Big Sis Bai with a smile, observing her reaction.

I assumed Big Sis Bai would be quite serious about this aspect, right?

“Is that so?”

Big Sis Bai also cooperated by sitting down and serving herself a large bowl.

“Then next time, there won’t be any chance to beg for mercy.”

“Next time? Then I’m really looking forward to it.”

I spoke provocatively, word by word.

“Little Han, I discovered a trait about you.”

Facing my provocation, Big Sis Bai remained unperturbed.

“What trait?”

“Once the wound heals, you forget the pain!”

“Hehe Isn’t that a good quality?”

As we bantered back and forth, breakfast time passed bit by bit.

“Little Han, do you have any plans today... or rather, for the future?”

Big Sis Bai asked after washing the dishes in the kitchen, coming to my side.

After all, Bai Yu knew that since Little Han was willing to spend the wonderful night with her last night, it meant that the work on perfecting the Great Tree of Knowledge Little Han had been busy with was over.

This should then signify that the following period would be relatively free.

However, based on her understanding of Little Han, she could probably find something to keep herself busy again in less than a day.

The time spent last night was probably the final reward Little Han had prepared for her period of busyness.

“Mmm... I feel like there are many things I can do, but if you ask what’s urgent, there doesn’t seem to be much... Oh! I almost forgot, I need to go find Sister Natalie to adjust my Casket!”

After all, the matter of adjusting the Casket had been put on hold because I was busy with the perfection of the Great Tree of Knowledge.

I originally planned to wait until the Great Tree of Knowledge was perfected and my understanding of the Power of Knowledge was deeper before completing the debugging of the Casket; unexpectedly, it was delayed for so long.

But now I truly had many ideas.

“Casket... Oh, that weapon hasn’t been manufactured completely yet? You’ve used it quite a few times already, haven’t you?”

“The few times I used it before were all for break-in and debugging adjustments. It feels quite handy to use, but with the perfection of the Great Tree of Knowledge, my Casket might need a major modification.”

“Great Tree of Knowledge perfected... Casket major modification? Are you linking the Casket to the Great Tree of Knowledge?”

“Yes Big Sis Bai must know about the Power of Knowledge, right? The dual-tree structure formed by the Seed of Great Knowledge and the spell effect of the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell derives an Order Manifestation similar to my Domain. The Power of Knowledge is quite marvelous.”

As I spoke, the Power of Knowledge surged in my hand, and then the Annotation Technique transformed the Power of Knowledge into the deduction of a Rune Ritual.

“See It’s like this, isn’t it magical? The Power of Knowledge transforms into annotations, forming runes, letting them evolve and deduce, similar to temporary enchantment.”

“Enchantment isn’t as simple as this; it’s a very refined, high-end technique.”

Bai Yu’s eyes sparkled as she watched the Power of Knowledge flying in my hand and the evolving Rune Ritual, because her Little Han was too amazing!

“Similar techniques each have their own strengths and meaning for existing. The predecessor of this technique was the Annotation Technique constructed by Sister Natalie on the Casket, but now that I’ve learned it... hehe.”

Actually, the technique created by Natalie at first was meant to complement the Casket, but after I incorporated it into the Power of Knowledge system, everything was reversed, turning the Casket into the carrier for the annotations derived from my Power of Knowledge.

Once this point was confirmed, the Casket was destined for a major modification.

“What about you, Big Sis Bai? Do you have any plans? Or are you continuing to study the True Editing technique?”

I also asked curiously at this moment.

“Yes, the entry difficulty for the True Editing technique is indeed very high, and the starting threshold is also high. Manufacturing a spellbook probably takes several days or even ten-plus days, with a huge learning cost.”

“Ten-plus days? That is indeed quite long, but... haven’t you adapted to the time perception of a Transcendent Witch yet? Time shouldn’t mean much to you, right?”

“That’s true...”

Big Sis Bai chuckled lightly, then shook her head.

“Let’s change the topic... Little Han, is there any spellbook you like? I feel like I’ve grasped a subtle knack recently, and it seems I’m not far from success. How about I personally make one to give you then?”

“Really? Then I want the Fireball Spell!”

I chose the Fireball Spell without hesitation!

After all, a Basic Spellbook was the starting point for all spells.

Any fancy, high-consumption spellbook, I could derive similar effects using the Basic Spellbook.

Perhaps this didn’t conform to the derivation sequence of the prototype spell, but spells were like that—the person using the spell was the master of the spell, not the master passively choosing the spell.

“Fireball Spell? The most basic spell. For someone who just started like me, most people use the Fireball Spell, the most classic spell, as practice. Are you sure you don’t need a more powerful spell? I can take my time.”

“No! I only want the first finished product that Big Sis Bai makes personally! Even if it’s not the Fireball Spell, I will still like it!”

“So Little Han only wants my first successful one, right?”

“Yes! Right! This has great commemorative significance, doesn’t it?”

I nodded firmly.

“Okay, then it’s settled.”

Big Sis Bai also responded with a smile, an agreement.

“Then I’ll be taking my leave first.”

“Big Sis Bai is leaving so early?”

“Yes, after all, the thought of making a spellbook for Little Han fills me with motivation.”

“Then take care Oh, right, Big Sis Bai, do you remember the suggestion I made to you last night?”

“Mmm? Last night? Suggestion?”

“You didn’t forget, did you? It was... if Big Sis Bai feels lonely sleeping alone at night in the future... then just summon me directly into your covers. I can’t be the only one to bring up something like this, can I?”

“Oh That matter, we’ll talk about it next time.”

Big Sis Bai vaguely recalled the suggestion made during a break in their intense activity last night.

It had to be said... this suggestion was indeed very tempting, no, very tempting to a witch.

“Okay, okay... Sigh, take care.”

After seeing Big Sis Bai off, I was left alone in the villa.

But I quickly adapted.

Perhaps love was never about always being stuck together; it was most intense in the moment of confirmation, and the subsequent peace was the true meaning.

Maybe this was a manifestation of the ordinary meaning that Big Sis Bai pursued?

I would not be displeased by this; in fact, I would actively cooperate with Big Sis Bai to help her pursue the project she was striving for.

Love was like a button tying together the feelings on both sides; perhaps this was love?

Thinking of this, I didn’t probe any further.

Excessive interpretation would turn sensual romance into something rational.

I was willing to be the fool for each other.

To be the one fastened by the button connecting the emotions.

...

Time passed quickly.

After contacting Sister Natalie and confirming she was in the alchemy lab, I set off.

But when I arrived there, I was immediately shocked by the scene before me!

“Hello Teacher Little Han!”

“Uh... Hello, hello to you all.”

I looked at the three students following behind Natalie; they were all ”seniors” who were significantly older than me, yet they directly called me Teacher.

This was truly quite awkward.

But they seemed very happy to call me that.

“Teacher Little Han, do you know me? I also participated in that preview exhibition back then; if it weren’t for you at the end...”

“Oh!”

I nodded and didn’t let them continue.

“That’s all in the past; it’s good that you are all fine.”

“We were in trouble... That is... I was brought back to be resurrected, which is a bit awkward, haha... But if it weren’t for Teacher Little Han, I wouldn’t even have the chance to be resurrected...”

Another one said with an awkward laugh.

Listening to them mention resurrection so casually, I had to say the management of students at the Witch Academy... was truly hard to describe.

As long as they were still students, resurrection was guaranteed.

“I said back then not to get involved in that auction unless there was nothing to do. Did you go out to earn extra money again?”

Natalie lectured from the side.

After all, these three were students under Natalie’s guidance, so they were likely skilled in alchemy.

The so-called earning extra money probably referred to the auction of those alchemical items.

They brought up this matter proactively to try and get closer to me, but they were lectured by Sister Natalie.

Afterward, Natalie assigned them tasks and sent them away.

Only when only one witch and one Lesser Witch remained here did the conversation turn to adjusting and communicating about my Casket.

And I told Sister Natalie my more specific ideas, including the concept of combining the Annotation Technique with the Casket, and held nothing back.

After all, this was a weapon tailor-made for me, so there was naturally no need to be secretive.

“If it’s like that... it might be possible, but this requires your cooperation. After all, you know the essence of the Power of Knowledge. The rest isn’t that troublesome; this is where the use of those precious materials comes in. If the materials used back then had been even slightly ordinary, we would have to start over with a major revision.”

“Is it that troublesome?”

“Of course. But right now, I don’t understand your Power of Knowledge that well either. I also need to familiarize myself with the annotation technique that was optimized by incorporating my Annotation Technique... Ugh It’s been a long time since I’ve had to learn so many new things before daring to modify a weapon like this,” Natalie sighed and said.

“So I’ll have to trouble Sister Natalie this time.”

“It’s no trouble. Needing to learn also means there’s potential for progress. I just feel like I’ve returned to the past. Nowadays, the requests made when I refine weapons for them don’t present much of a challenge; they’re simply boring. Gradually, I started accepting fewer commissions, unless that weapon contained precious materials that interested me.”

“So there was a reason for Sister Natalie’s insistence on those precious materials, right?”

“Yes, yes! Did you really think I was such a superficial witch? Materials interesting enough to capture my attention are what signify that I can learn something new!”

At this moment, Natalie spoke volubly, as if she had found someone who understood her.

And I kept agreeing with a few words, taking this opportunity to steer the conversation toward another direction that I was very concerned about.

“Since Sister Natalie is so proficient in Sealing Spells, you must have mastered sealing spells for many Domains, right?”

“That is a given! Has Little Han become interested in Sealing Spells after using the Casket?”

“Mmm, but it’s from a different angle. Sister Natalie, have you ever heard of sealing spells for consciousness and memory?”

I asked curiously.

After all, I still remembered the content of my conversation with the Shadow of Knowledge back at the hotel.

Sealing spells for consciousness and memory not only helped one overcome some internal obstacles or thresholds but could probably also become part of the defensive firewall for Great Knowledge Cognition, which is why I guided the topic here.

“Sealing consciousness and memory? Naturally, such sealing spells exist, and there’s even a large category! I heard that one major classification within that was contributed by the Soul Truth Witch; that category is called Self-Awareness Sealing Spells.”

“Actually, it makes sense when you think about it, right? Soul, consciousness, memory, and so on are mostly related... Oh, right, Little Han, are you planning to use these for yourself or against an enemy? If it’s against an enemy... forget I mentioned that series of Self-Sealing Spells. Sealing spells for consciousness and memory are rather niche, even heretical. If you really want to find them, this academy probably doesn’t have many records on this topic. You found the right witch in me to ask!”

“Uh... Self-Sealing Spells? Is there such a strange type of spell?”

It felt comparable to the Reverse Summoning Spell.

“But I am indeed planning to use them for myself. Sister Natalie, can you introduce me to spells like the Self-Awareness Sealing Spells?”
