Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 298: A Test for the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell

“It’s settled. Those beasts from the Abyssal Demons are stubborn. They didn’t agree to our proposal until I slaughtered the fourth Abyssal Lord.”

At this moment, a transcendent witch returned to the witches’ void outpost from outside the void.

“It’s good that they agreed. This time, we were the ones who used force first, so we are in the wrong. Let’s just wait and see what happens next.”

Academy Head Mei Linde nodded and said no more.

The other transcendent witches pouted when they heard the words “in the wrong.”

In the dictionary of transcendent witches, when dealing with other races, the words “in the wrong” did not exist.

But precisely because of this interference, the situation had also miraculously stabilized.

This would be an absolutely fair battle, at least before the battle began, everything was “fair.”

“Academy Head, it’s not that I’m saying it, but we don’t need to play with those guys from the Abyssal Demons, right?”

“Indeed, disgusting fellows. Except for the Abyssal Succubi, I don’t like any of them.”

“It’s fine, they’re just tool demons. Don’t forget what we’re testing this time.”

The Academy Head raised her hand to signal, and everyone quieted down.

The arrogant existence of the various transcendent witches in the Witch Academy, even the Academy Head, was only “equal” in the face of the scholars in the academy.

But this Academy Head Mei Linde was truly capable.

The transcendent witch scholars who never showed their faces in the Witch Academy had never looked down on those witches who were full of fighting.

Everyone was a transcendent witch, and no one was inferior to anyone.

But in reality, the status of transcendent witch scholars was a bit higher than those witches who only knew how to fight and seek trouble in the void.

Even those transcendent witches who liked to fight loved to put these scholar witches on a pedestal, because these witches were the source of spellbooks.

For witches who were good at creation, other witches would give the highest evaluation.

And the top witches among them, who were worshipped like idols, were given the title of Truth Witch by the Primal Witch.

For example, the “Witch’s Contract” established the witch’s trust system, the “Magic Power Source” constructed the witch’s strength promotion system, the “Spellbook” created the sublimation of spell techniques and the derivative of true editing technology, the “Elixir” opened up a special ritual application technique unique to witches, and “Soul” interpreted life, guiding the sublimation of resurrection spells and the development of the dream state…

These were all paths pioneered by the Truth Witches for the Witch race.

They gave back to the Witch race in the form of selfless truth.

This was the heritage of a transcendent race, and it was also the confidence of the witches standing in the void.

Therefore, the scholar witches who followed the example of the Truth Witches were the second-line faith, second only to the Truth Witches.

Many of the directions they studied, taking the grand spellbook as an example, the spells derived from [Transcendent Knowledge] were all good things they coveted.

It was probably like the relationship between a child and a toy manufacturer?

No witch knew what kind of spellbook they might get in the next moment.

And for so many transcendent witches to gather here, if it was just because of a script, it would not be able to attract so many witches.

The only reason was that they were looking forward to the Academy Head’s test of her grand spellbook!

This was a grand spellbook!

How many of the transcendent witches present had such a thing?

Even the transcendent witches who owned a grand spellbook themselves did not dare to neglect such a grand event.

This situation was like a technological breakthrough, attracting countless onlookers.

It even attracted existences that were not transcendent witches.

Everyone had been waiting for this moment for a long time.

In fact, according to convention, the test would be conducted directly after the birth of a grand spellbook.

But the Academy Head had delayed it for so long, which could be said to have raised the anticipation to the maximum.

Of course, many of the well-informed witches had also learned the inside story of the creation of this grand spellbook.

The role of a newcomer was crucial, and that newcomer would also be the candidate for the test of this grand spellbook.

Many witches found this contrast a bit unacceptable, but it didn’t matter.

Mei Linde would make them accept this fact.

This was also Mei Linde’s way of making them realize the importance of Spirit Vision, especially innate Spirit Vision.

So after learning this fact, many witches went to see the “genius girl” praised by the Academy Head, even if it was just to get a familiar face, or to pinch her cheek.

According to Mei Linde’s description, it was a Floating World-level Spirit Vision, with a nature comparable to a Floating World-level true vision.

Even though she had not yet become a transcendent witch, being valued by the Academy Head meant that it was… not far off.

And what puzzled them the most was that the Academy Head had actually given the grand spellbook to a student who was not even a transcendent witch.

Even if it was said to be an investment in her, and the form given was a loan, it still puzzled many witches.

But how others decided was their own business.

Not understanding was not understanding, but interfering with others’ decisions was impolite.

At most, they would just talk about it.

Even if they knew that the Academy Head had exchanged a [Transcendent Knowledge] and two primal spell sequences for it, these were all superficial.

Academy Head Mei Linde’s attitude was the most important.

Similarly, that [Transcendent Knowledge] was also very important.

Transcendent knowledge was not a standalone thing.

It had its own environment of birth, where its revelation was nurtured.

Just like the [Transcendent Knowledge] that Mei Linde had obtained, it had a strong correlation with the Fool’s Dream, so she understood that she needed to obtain a revelation from it.

Obtaining a revelation was a breakthrough in the research of [Transcendent Knowledge], and it was also the most convenient way for life to understand [Transcendent Knowledge].

If transcendent knowledge was separated from its original environment, for example, if Mei Linde killed all those dream creatures of the Fool’s Dream and obtained this independent [Transcendent Knowledge], then it would become a rootless [Transcendent Knowledge].

Researching something rootless was like facing a safe without a password hint, with no way to start.

This was precisely the value of the [Transcendent Knowledge] that Mei Linde had obtained.

Because Mei Linde knew that it was not a rootless [Transcendent Knowledge].

This was something obtained by the native humans of the main world through talent awakening.

But any witch who had experienced or understood the secrets of this main world knew what the talent of the main world was.

It was a blessing from the world consciousness, and the only blessing was “Spirit Vision.”

And the second blessing, which was the so-called talent awakening of new students, was essentially “plunder.”

So this was why Spirit Vision was self-awakened, while talent awakening required an “awakening ritual.”

That was not a talent awakening ritual at all, but a complete plunder ritual using the native life of the main world.

Plunder whom?

The plunder was naturally of the main world.

As for what was plundered, it was naturally the ruins of war left over after the conquest of the main world more than a thousand years ago.

At this moment, behind the witches at the void outpost was the main world, but looking back, it was a piece of ruins.

If the main world was compared to an apple, then this apple was already completely rotten.

And the “peaceful society” where many academies were originally located was the… last paradise of the main world, wrapped up.

In order to prevent the main world consciousness from launching a final fierce counterattack and self-destructing, this paradise had to be preserved.

Under the agreement of the four transcendent races, an absolute suppression of strength was carried out in that final pure land at the cost of a grand spellbook.

There, it was impossible to use power above the transcendent, and even… extraordinary power was greatly suppressed.

So precisely because of the effect of this grand spellbook, this main world had become a void anomaly area in the void.

The effect of the grand spellbook was permanent and had been maintained until now.

And to achieve such an effect, that grand spellbook was completely “sacrificed.”

Even if the grand spellbook that created this spell effect was shattered, its spell effect would still not be extinguished.

This was the true style of a grand spellbook.

So the [Transcendent Knowledge] within that grand spellbook also became a part of the ruins of the main world, captured by the world consciousness.

So the ritual of plundering the ruins of the main world was also in the hope of making some use of the post-war ruins of the main world.

This ritual had been performed for thousands of years, which proved that the world consciousness had captured a lot of post-war ruins.

But occasionally, a blessing like Spirit Vision would appear, but the proportion was too small.

Of course, the original idea of the plunder ritual was to retrieve that [Transcendent Knowledge] from the world consciousness, but it was obviously unrealistic.

As for why the plunder ritual would awaken a Seed of Destiny… this only represented one thing, and that was that after such a long time of plunder, the world consciousness had also noticed this theft.

But the theft had not flowed out, so the world consciousness did not forcefully break this ritual, and… used it in reverse to provide assistance, becoming the beginning of the script.

And the awakening of multiple Seeds of Destiny could only mean that someone had interfered with it.

Even if it wasn’t the Abyssal Demons, it was still related to them.

When a student’s talent awakened this [Transcendent Knowledge], the first to know was Mei Linde.

So at that time, Mei Linde had already been paying attention to Little Han, but Mei Linde had not made any move.

Similarly, the other transcendent witches also did not make any move.

It wasn’t that they weren’t coveting this [Transcendent Knowledge].

It was because the grand spellbook that this transcendent knowledge had once shaped, its owner was… Mei Linde.

No one would snatch this thing that originally belonged to her.

Similarly, many witches, including other academies, were also glad that this [Transcendent Knowledge] had awakened in the Witch Academy.

Otherwise, Mei Linde might have directly killed her way into that academy and snatched that student along with the [Transcendent Knowledge].

As for why no one was greedy… one had to have the strength to be greedy.

And obtaining this [Transcendent Knowledge] was not equivalent to owning a grand spellbook.

It was not a good way to seek death.

The witches who knew the inside story naturally did not think that Mei Linde’s behavior was inappropriate at this moment.

Exchanging a finished grand spellbook for a [Transcendent Knowledge] that was once within a grand spellbook she owned, at least Mei Linde felt it was worth it.

And… there were also differences between grand spellbooks.

The simplest comparison was the great fireball spell and the great annihilation spell.

There was no such thing as “there are no useless spellbooks, only useless spellcasters” in this world.

A spell was a spell, and a concept was a concept.

They could not be equated.

Actually, for something that once belonged to her, Mei Linde could have just snatched it directly, and no one would have said anything.

But at that time, Mei Linde was still immersed in the stage of exploring a new grand spellbook.

She was not in a hurry to get it back and mess up her rhythm.

And the other party was in the Witch Academy and wouldn’t run away, so she temporarily put it aside.

And during this period, she gradually learned that the student who had been defined by her as a container for [Transcendent Knowledge] was actually a genius.

Then she saw the wonderful combination of Spirit Vision and soul in her.

Finally, when the other party helped her complete a grand spellbook that was conservatively estimated to take another hundred years, Mei Linde’s thoughts changed.

Perhaps she could try to invest in this little one and see what other surprises she could bring her.

Anyway, she wasn’t losing from beginning to end, was she?

At worst, she would only lose the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell.

But even if she lost it, it would be returned to the Witch World’s Great Library.

This was the power of the contract.

And she didn’t think that a spell like the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell was suitable for her.

Don’t forget, she was also an existence who had a grand spellbook to suppress the three top transcendent races that had entered the main world in advance and had forcefully entered the main world.

Compared to the Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell, people still wanted what once belonged to them… the great weakening spell.

To regain what was lost.

For this kind of feeling, anyone would be willing to pay an even greater price, let alone a grand spellbook that she didn’t think much of?

“I have to say, it’s been several days now, and the script has made no progress.”

“The protagonists haven’t fully appeared yet, what’s the hurry? And I’m not wasting my time here to watch these little ones fight.”

“The Great Wisdom Enlightenment Spell, I’m still looking forward to its performance. The ones strongly related to this grand spellbook are those little cuties, right? What are they called? Fool’s Dream, right? I’m looking forward to when they become real life.”

“Academy Head, you shouldn’t mind me, an impatient person, accelerating the progress of the script, right? Cowering, those Seeds of Destiny are the worst I’ve ever seen. The Children of Destiny I’ve met in the small worlds are more motivated than these guys.”

“You will cause the dream to invade reality like this. Making such a big fuss will affect too many students,” a witch said before the Academy Head could speak.

“So what?”

“Alright, let’s wait for things to ferment a bit more.”

At this moment, Mei Linde also spoke and suppressed the impatient nature of these transcendent witches.

At this moment, at the Witch Academy.

After confessing these things to Big Sis Bai, I also felt a sense of relief.

It was naturally the best result that Big Sis Bai could understand me.

As for what to do next, since the Academy Head didn’t say, I couldn’t just wait like this.

I would study as usual and enrich myself.

After all, thinking too much about things I couldn’t control was also a form of self-consumption.

It was better to treat it with a normal heart and treat myself as a tool person.

Before I was needed to play a role, I would naturally live my life step by step.

But this kind of life didn’t last long before I was greeted by someone who surprised me a little.

“Tan Han? A rare guest. I didn’t expect you to be able to find me in the library.”

I looked at Tan Han in front of me and greeted her with a smile.

I thought I wouldn’t have any more dealings with her, but on second thought, I seemed to have promised something in the Fool’s Village secret realm.

But with the shattering of the secret realm and the disappearance of the meditation method, it all seemed to have come to nothing.

“Is something the matter? You look like you came here specifically to find me.”

“I just came to the library to return a book and ran into you. We haven’t seen each other for a long time, so I wanted to come and chat?”

“Chat… alright. A lot has happened in the Witch Academy recently. You don’t want to talk about these things, do you?”

“Mm, I’m just curious. So much has happened in the academy, yet you can still study here so calmly.”

“Is it strange? The matter will eventually be resolved by the academy. What does it have to do with us, who are still newcomers? You… you don’t think you can solve this matter, do you?”

“Who knows? There are already several classmates in our class who have been affected by the sleeping curse. As far as I know, the same is true for your Class 14. It’s obviously a big matter involving so many transcendent academies, yet it’s mainly concentrated on the newcomer group. Don’t you think it’s strange?”

“So it’s mainly targeting the newcomer group. I haven’t looked into it carefully yet. So what? Do you think there’s some mastermind deliberately targeting our newcomer group?”

I raised my head and looked at Tan Han with a smile.

Her worried expression really made it seem like the world wouldn’t turn without her.

But it didn’t seem to be a problem to say so.

If the world didn’t have any external intervention, and the world didn’t have a continuous stream of Children of Destiny to “support” it, would it really not turn?

But it wasn’t like that anymore.

With transcendent academies, transcendent races, and the script… it had become like a tool.

When you looked at it from too high a perspective, it felt… like everything was a bit boring…
