Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 195: Witch Cat Cafe, a Cat Cafe Where You Can Pet Cat Girls

After coming out of the infirmary, I wasn’t in a hurry to leave on my broom, because I realized that even if I wanted to rush off, I had nowhere to go.

To the classroom?

There were no classes right now; to the dorm?

There was nothing to do back there either; to the library?

I had been mentally occupied for almost the entire day, I couldn’t bring myself to read any books.

Right now, I just wanted to find a place to relax, while there was still a little time left in the day.

“Little Han I knew you hadn’t gone far, where are you off to?”

A sudden voice called out to me.

I turned around and saw it was Senior Ying Shiqian.

“Eh? Senior, why are you out too? Is the Shop Manager the only one with Tan Han?”

A hint of surprise flashed in my eyes as I asked.

“Yeah, she probably wanted to have a private chat with Tan Han and sent me away, even found an excuse for me to go back and help that Yihan girl. I finally got out, how could I go back so quickly,” Senior Ying Shiqian said with a smile.

“By the way, Little Han, haven’t you already gotten your flying license? Walking so unhurriedly, where are you heading?”

“I don’t know, just walking around. I also used up a lot of energy in the Dream State, just wandering around, emptying my mind or something.”

“Don’t know where to go. Hey, how about I take you somewhere to relax? After all, the exchange competition is starting in two days, right? If you don’t enjoy it now, you won’t get the chance.”

“Where to relax?”

I looked at her suspiciously, feeling that her tone was a bit odd, “It should be a proper place, right?”

“Proper? How can you relax in a proper place? Little Han, it’s not that I’m trying to say…”

Senior Ying Shiqian said this, then leaned close to my ear and whispered, “Little Han, you were a boy before, you couldn’t possibly not know about this kind of thing, right?”

“What kind of thing?”

“Eh? Little Han, I’m sharing something good with you, don’t play dumb with me,” Ying Shiqian stood up straight and said.

“Hmm?”

“No, Little Han, you haven’t experienced it? You being so pure is making me very embarrassed,” Ying Shiqian put a hand to her forehead, looking quite exasperated.

“Pure? This is the first time I’ve heard someone describe me like that.”

I shrugged.

I didn’t know why, but normally I would feel ashamed if such a word were used to describe me, but now I felt it was quite nice?

Was it a form of praise for me?

“Sigh Alright, looks like you won’t get to experience it. I never drag people down with me, I only lead like-minded besties astray together. Let’s think of somewhere else to go.”

Ying Shiqian reached out and patted my shoulder, finally shaking her head helplessly.

“Witch Academy is huge, it even covers the entire Modu in the real world. You could say that Witch Academy is like a rebuilt city here. Many places have nothing to do with academy teaching at all and have become purely spots for students to relax, check in, and have fun.”

“Some places even have overlapping spaces, creating unique and stunningly beautiful scenery.”

“Witch Academy has places like that?”

I asked curiously.

“Of course, want to go take a look?”

“Forget it, going to tourist spots is a choice for passing time and energy. Right now, I just want to rest well, maybe find an unfamiliar place outside where I can sit down and have some coffee or tea.”

“Then any random coffee shop can meet your needs, Little Han, is that all you’re aiming for?”

“Then let’s go to the best coffee shop in Witch Academy?”

I raised my eyebrows and suggested.

“Coffee shops are so boring, I’ll take you to a more fun place that can also meet your needs.”

Then Ying Shiqian suggested again.

“What place?”

“Witch Cat Cafe! A social place for many witches to interact. You can also go there alone to relax, have afternoon tea, and you can even pet cats. I heard that the opening of such places is a tradition among witches.”

“Witch Cat Cafe? A proper cat cafe?”

“Why are you so concerned about whether it’s proper! A Witch Cat Cafe is… a Witch Cat Cafe. If you don’t believe me, search it up. Can something you can openly search for on the academy network be improper?”

“True, let me see.”

I opened my phone and searched for a place like Witch Cat Cafe, and it turned out I could actually find it.

There was even more than one Witch Cat Cafe in Witch Academy!

Many posts had pictures attached, many of which were of desserts, latte art, afternoon tea, and so on, as well as many photos of cats.

Looking closely, many of the cats seemed to have their own names, as if the Witch Cat Cafe also pampered cute cats as their mascots.

Not only were there cute cats, but there were also cute cat girls wait, cat girls?

Where did Witch Academy get cat girls from?

Even if the exchange students from the Beast Academy included the Cat-person Academy, they couldn’t have been poached that quickly, right?

So I directly closed the academy network.

To find out if this Witch Cat Cafe was proper, wasn’t it easier to just ask Big Sis Bai?

Because of what she said just now, I had already labeled Senior Ying Shiqian as the type with a “prior record.”

It was better to ask the knowledgeable Big Sis Bai.

Big Sis Bai, a universal encyclopedia for the academy that was perfect for me!

Yang Yuehan: Big Sis Bai, are you there?

Bai Yu: Yes, what’s up?

I looked at the instant reply.

The last time Big Sis Bai replied to me, it was the same when I replied back.

Big Sis Bai couldn’t possibly be glued to her phone all the time, right?

Han: I want to ask, is the Witch Cat Cafe a proper place?

Bai: Why are you going to this place?

Han: Oh, I’ve been busy all day and want to relax. Senior Ying Shiqian suggested it.

Bai: Who?

Ying Shiqian the one from the bakery

Han: Yeah, Big Sis Bai remembers?

Bai: Mhmm, which Witch Cat Cafe are you going to?

I’ll go with you.

Han: Eh? Big Sis Bai, aren’t you busy? You’re coming over just to accompany me?

Bai: It’s alright, how long has it been since the semester started, what’s there for me to be busy with?

Send me your location.

Han: Alright, but I haven’t decided yet.

I’ll send it to you when I do.

Bai: Mhmm

I repeatedly scrolled through the chat history.

Since Big Sis Bai was coming to accompany me, it must be a very proper place.

“Little Han, were you replying to a message just now?”

Ying Shiqian saw that I had been busy with my phone.

She glanced over, saw I was messaging, and didn’t look again.

“Yeah, I asked Big Sis Bai about it, but Big Sis Bai suddenly said she’s coming over.”

“Ah? Where do you go, you still have to report to your big sister?”

At this moment, Ying Shiqian was shocked by my action.

“It’s not reporting, I was just asking what kind of place the Witch Cat Cafe is, and then Big Sis Bai said she wanted to come over.”

I interrupted Ying Shiqian’s words.

Reporting, something like that sounded as if I were a child without independence.

I couldn’t stand hearing that.

I was an “old fellow” who had lived two lives.

Alright, in the second life, I wasn’t human anymore, I should be called a witch, but I was still me.

“Alright, I can’t keep up with your train of thought, but… since you have your Big Sis Bai to accompany you, I suppose you don’t need a third wheel like me.”

“What third wheel! Is that the kind of relationship Big Sis Bai and I have!”

“Isn’t it?”

“Is it?”

“Aiya, if it’s not, it’s not. But Senior suddenly realized that Tang Yihan is all alone guarding the bakery, how lonely. I’m afraid she’ll cry, so I’d better go back first.”

“Senior Ying Shiqian, can’t you find a better excuse!”

I watched as Senior Ying Shiqian even took out her broom at this moment.

Was this the first time I had been angered by Senior Ying Shiqian?

She didn’t even listen to explanations!

“Um, Little Han, I’m really sorry, I’m afraid the shop manager will make a surprise check and catch me being absent. That… you’ll have to go to the Witch Cat Cafe by yourself. By the way, remember to get the cat stamp when you get to the Witch Cat Cafe, there’s a big discount and special treatment! As for the rest, I can only say you have to explore it yourself, it’s really interesting there!”

“Eh?”

I still wanted to ask more questions, but Senior Ying Shiqian just ran off like that.

So in the end, I was left here all alone.

I had no choice but to search for the location of the Witch Cat Cafe myself.

After searching, I found that the nearest cat cafe seemed to be quite close.

I sent the location directly, and I rode my broom over.

It didn’t take long to arrive at this landmark building.

“Witch Cat Cafe, I didn’t expect it to be such a big place?”

Putting away my broom, I looked at the huge words “Witch Cat Cafe” above.

These words were written in a very cute artistic font, with cute cat tail and cat paw elements.

I even saw a cat lazing on the sign, sleeping, with its tail leisurely swaying.

Just standing outside the shop, I could see that the layout on the first floor was roughly like an indoor coffee shop.

The glass curtain wall by the side could be considered the best place to view the street scene.

I took a quick look, saw there were still seats, and walked straight in.

“Welcome, are you a new customer?”

As soon as I entered, I saw several seniors at the front desk receiving guests.

And they really had cat ears on their heads!

I subconsciously swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

I think I also saw tails behind them, were they really cat girls?

“Excuse me, this lovely customer, is this your first time at the Witch Cat Cafe?”

“Mhmm, yes.”

I walked forward and nodded, saying.

After all, I didn’t understand anything right now, so I definitely had to listen to their explanation of the situation.

After all, the customer is king.

If they didn’t explain clearly what I could do at this Witch Cat Cafe, was I just here to simply pay money?

“May I ask if you’d like to register with us to become a cat-petter? After registering your identity, you can come to our Witch Cat Cafe anytime to interact with the little kitties in our Witch Cat Cafe in various ways. You can also order afternoon tea and spend a leisurely time here.”

“Of course, the little kitties in the Witch Cat Cafe also include this kind Meow.”

The cat girl senior next to her also chimed in at this moment, extending her hand and letting out a cute cat meow towards me, and the meaning of this was also very obvious!

I looked back behind me, there were quite a few people with ears on their heads sitting there.

“Of course, customer, not all the little kittens in the Witch Cat Cafe are service staff. Many are also guests who come here. So if you want to pet cats, please don’t force them. After all, the main principle of the Witch Cat Cafe is mutual choice, so we naturally don’t want anything unpleasant to happen.”

“Of course, the little kittens in uniform are service staff. If you want to pet them, please give a tip. They will be very cooperative with all your reasonable requests.”

“Of course, you can also order some desserts for the little kitties as a conversation starter, maybe it will have a wonderful effect.”

These few seniors took turns explaining the features of the Witch Cat Cafe to me.

You could say I was completely stunned by what they said.

Was this really a proper cat cafe?

Just as I was in a daze, a small, all-black cat passed by my feet, its soft fur brushing against my calf, bringing a strange sensation.

“Oh my It’s Little Dark Cloud.”

A senior next to me squatted down and called out to the little black cat that had just rubbed against me, and then this black cat named Little Dark Cloud jumped into her arms.

“Customer, would you like to get a Cat Card? This way you can become a cat-petter at the Witch Cat Cafe.”

“Or the customer can also choose another path, to become a hostess cat girl at the Witch Cat Cafe? You can pet cats for free in the Witch Cat Cafe, of course, it’s just literally petting cats, like this Little Dark Cloud. However, hostess cat girls can’t proactively order desserts at the Witch Cat Cafe, but every day they can receive a complimentary dessert from the Witch Cat Cafe as part-time cat food. Only one portion a day, no extra freebies.”

“But hostess cat girls can accept feedings from cat-petters, and they also have the right to decide whether to continue interacting with that cat-petter! If possible, they can even accept feedings from multiple cat-petters, if you have the means to do so,” a senior next to me continued to explain.

I felt like they were trying to persuade me to become a hostess cat girl?

“Um, excuse me, what is a cat stamp?”

I remembered what Senior Ying Shiqian had told me before she left and asked.

“A cat stamp is an alchemy item. Just press a stamp on your hand, and you can get a magical effect of a cat girl costume within the range of the Witch Cat Cafe. It doesn’t have any bonuses, but you might speak with a strange verbal tic. It’s usually something used by hostess cat girls.”

“Of course, customers can also use a cat girl transformation spell if they have one.”

“The customer is asking about the cat stamp because you want to become a hostess cat girl?”

“Oh, no no no, no, not for now. Let me ask, what about that so-called Cat Card?”

I quickly refused.

That Senior Ying Shiqian was actually trying to trick me into becoming a hostess cat girl?

What kind of sinister intention was this!

“Does the customer want to become a cat-petter? This way then, we also have different levels of Cat Cards here. First is the regular Cat Card. Applying for a Cat Card is free, but you need to top it up, with a minimum of about one coin. The topped-up money can be withdrawn at any time, and canceling the Cat Card will also refund the cash. The Cat Card is the credential for purchasing various things in the Witch Cat Cafe, and money is deducted directly from here, so please always pay attention to whether there is enough money in the Cat Card. You can check this directly by downloading our Witch Cat Cafe app on your phone.”

“We also have three categories here: Bronze, Silver, and Gold Cat Cards. However, these cannot be obtained with ordinary currency. You need the corresponding Red Copper Coins, Mithril Coins, and Arcanite Gold Coins to apply. After applying, you must deposit at least one corresponding coin in it. Not many people apply for these three types of Cat Cards, after all, these coins are very precious, but these three types of Cat Cards will also enjoy different levels of purchase discounts at the Witch Cat Cafe.”

“Of course cat-petters can also work part-time as hostess cat girls.”

A senior next to me was still recommending the hostess cat girl role.

“Sigh… let’s just get a Cat Card.”

I finally spoke up and decided.

As for what level of Cat Card to get, that was a bit difficult for me.

After all, I was just here to relax a bit, I shouldn’t be so extravagant.

But if I wanted to buy some desserts, coffee, or something, I would also need to spend money.

The money I had on me now wasn’t that much, only a fair amount of Mithril and Arcanite Gold, but these were all precious materials.

Would it be too extravagant to use them here?

Mithril could also be used to buy Transcendent potions.

Using it here at the Witch Cat Cafe to pet cats and buy desserts was somewhat unjustifiable.

And how many such desserts could one Mithril coin buy?

“Get a Gold Cat Card for her.”

“Hmm? Eh? Big Sis Bai, you’re here so quickly?”

Suddenly hearing a familiar voice, I immediately turned around and saw Big Sis Bai’s figure.

“Mhmm, Little Han, are you alone?”

“Yeah, I told her you were coming, and then the senior accompanying me ran off halfway.”

I shrugged and said, “Um, isn’t getting a Gold Cat Card a bit…”

“It’s just one Arcanite Gold coin, consider it a treat from Big Sis Bai. You should save yours,” Big Sis Bai said with a smile, stroking my head.

“Eh? Little Han… wait, you’re that newcomer Little Han, eh!”

At this moment, the senior here finally reacted.

“Wait, is it that Myriad Spell Witch, Little Han?”

“It’s really her, eh, does Little Han also come to the Witch Cat Cafe?”

“I don’t know, but if it’s Yang Yuehan, our shop manager sent you a Gold Cat Card. Little Han, don’t you check your mailbox often?”

“Eh?”

I was confused at this moment.

What was going on, the shop manager of the Witch Cat Cafe sent me a Gold Cat Card?

Wait, I think I remembered what Teacher Ji Niang said before about some auction house invitation letters and such being sent to my mailbox, but I had completely forgotten about it until now.

I didn’t expect the Witch Cat Cafe to also use this kind of method to get close to me?

It seems I had still underestimated my current status in Witch Academy.

“Um, your shop manager, she…”

“It’s fine, our shop manager loves making friends the most. It’s normal that you haven’t seen her, Little Han. Actually, none of us have seen her either. The shop manager’s identity is very mysterious. I heard she sometimes even pretends to be a cat-petter and comes to the Witch Cat Cafe to rest.”

“Little Han, just accept it. I’ll handle it for you. Actually, this kind of thing is very common. Many people have received gifts from the shop manager. Just help us promote our Witch Cat Cafe when you have time.”

“Mhmm, Little Han, just accept it. You’ll have to get used to this kind of thing, whether now or in the future,” Big Sis Bai also said beside me.

“What a pity, I was really looking forward to Little Han’s cat girl form, I’ve only seen it a few times in the arena…”
