Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 194: The Academy Network is Full of False Information

“Is she really okay?”

In a private room in the infirmary, I stood by the bed and asked the senior sister who came to check.

“She’s fine, it’s just that her nerves were stretched too tight. A potion to nourish her mental power will do. Maybe if you had been a little later in sending her, she would have woken up on her own.”

The senior sister helping out in the infirmary took the time to answer my repeated inquiries, and was even in the mood to joke with me.

“As long as she’s fine.”

After confirming that she was fine, I breathed a sigh of relief.

Otherwise, if something really happened to Tan Han, I would definitely be involved.

Should I…

Call some people to come visit?

But I don’t know many of the people Tan Han knows except for the senior sisters from the Bakery Club, and Teacher Lina?

Maybe I should ask Teacher Ji Niang…

I opened my phone and sent a private message to ask, but in the end, I only received a kind greeting from Teacher Ji Niang.

After learning the infirmary’s response, she directly said not to bother her with such trivial matters…

Alright, for a Transcendent Witch, this really seemed like a trivial matter.

Sure enough, I still hadn’t adapted to the world of the transcendent.

After all, in a world where even death had resurrection spells, what did fainting count for?

When I turned around after I was done, I found that Tan Han had already woken up.

I looked down at the time on my phone again.

Okay, I hadn’t been in the infirmary for long.

I thought Tan Han would wake up tomorrow.

“Little Han, was I sent to the infirmary?”

After drinking the potion handed to her by the senior sister, Tan Han seemed to have recovered well now.

At least, the effect was undeniable.

“Yes, you should have said so earlier. Why did you have to push yourself to this extent?”

I said with a bit of helplessness.

“Hehe, I didn’t expect this to happen either. I was still thinking about things the second before I blacked out.”

At this moment, Tan Han’s face was full of a wry smile.

Perhaps she had never expected that she would have such a day?

“Sigh… next time… forget it, I don’t even know if there will be a next time. By the way, this time you fainted in front of many people from other academies. Have you thought about how to explain it?”

I continued to ask.

“Ask me? Didn’t you tell them?”

Tan Han was a little surprised, but after thinking about it, it seemed reasonable.

“No, I took you away without saying a word. Oh, and that senior sister, she was the one who carried you here. But it looks like she went back, after all, she has to watch over the Dream State devices,” I said with a shrug.

“Alright, thank her for me, forget it, I won’t trouble you. I’ll go thank her in person next time.”

“But for those people from other academies, there’s nothing to explain. I don’t need to tell them about my affairs. How about it? Isn’t it nice to handle it your way?”

“As long as you’re happy. By the way, should we tell the senior sisters at the Bakery Club and the shop manager about this? It’s not a small matter, after all,” I asked casually.

“Forget it, let’s not worry them… By the way, the fact that I fainted, no one took a picture and posted it on the academy network, right? If it becomes a hot topic, it will cause me a lot of trouble.”

“I don’t know.”

I shook my head and finally found a place to sit down.

Tan Han was, after all, a ”public figure” who was even more popular than me, right?

If public opinion wasn’t handled well, it would be a troublesome matter.

I casually opened my phone, only to find that the class group chat had completely exploded.

Compared to the information on the internet, I was more willing to go to the class group, a place closer to me, to get information.

After all, most of the things here were closely related to me, or information I could access.

And at this time, Tan Han also found her phone on the cabinet next to her.

She also needed to know what had happened today, or if there were any notices from the academy.

At this moment, there were so many messages in the class group chat that I couldn’t finish scrolling through them.

I could only click on the messages that tagged me to get a general idea of what had happened.

But the more I looked, the gloomier my face became, and my heart sank with a ”thud”.

I hadn’t expected to face this kind of thing so quickly.

Starting from the people in the class being curious and questioning my past gender, I scrolled up and found that someone had confirmed that the elf from Aphrodite Academy was my ex-girlfriend.

I remember Hong Chenyi mentioned this yesterday, why was someone bringing it up again today?

They even tagged me.

It wasn’t until I scrolled to a link on the academy network that was forwarded in the group chat.

The link led to a news report about an interview with a student from Aphrodite Academy, which stated the relevant information.

I took a deep breath and scrolled up.

This report was not from a press club I was familiar with, but one I had never heard of.

When it really came to this moment, I actually calmed down.

My eyes coldly scanned through the not-so-many comments one by one.

At this moment, should I be glad that the academy network uses real-name information for internet access?

From the comments, I also roughly learned that the press club that reported this was a small club that usually relied on ambiguous information and gossip to attract attention.

Obviously, their idea of attracting attention had succeeded this time, and they even attracted the attention of the main person involved, me.

But this seemed to be just an interlude for me.

Now that I had jumped to the academy network, I might as well take a look at other things.

In fact, the Witch Academy didn’t have very explosive news every day.

Most of it was just various activities for people to find their own fun.

But recently, because of the Newcomer Competition and the subsequent exchange competition, plus the visit of so many academies, there were constant hot topics.

Even so, I still saw my actions from this morning on the hot topics list.

A Witch Academy newcomer actually did this to a Blood Clan Academy student in the Dream State!

The various small headlines were quite eye-catching.

“Little Han?”

“Hmm? What’s wrong?”

Being suddenly called by Tan Han like this, I was a little stunned.

Maybe I was too focused on my own affairs.

After all, I had never received this kind of treatment before.

“Nothing, I just saw that your expression wasn’t too good just now. Are you okay?”

“You should be the one who has a problem. What could be wrong with me?”

I closed the information on the academy network, looking indifferent.

“Oh, it’s good that you’re fine. I just saw a lot of things about you on it. The matter of me fainting isn’t that hot, maybe it hasn’t fermented yet?”

“Information on the internet is all spread around. Why care so much,” I said to Tan Han.

After all, she just fainted.

Did she expect such a small matter to shake the whole school?

Although I was saying this to Tan Han, wasn’t I also saying it to myself?

Tan Han also saw the things about me.

I wonder what it was…

I recalled my chat with Big Sis Bai last night.

Big Sis Bai wouldn’t lie to me.

The Witch Academy wouldn’t ignore information in this area.

I was a contestant in the upcoming exchange competition.

The academy wouldn’t let negative information about me fly around.

Wait, speaking of negative news, do I have any negative news?

Other than feeling guilty about being a boy before, but that was also a fact.

What else was I worried about?

My ex-girlfriend who I broke up with long ago?

“No, I’m just afraid… afraid of, uh… misunderstandings?”

Everyone’s misunderstanding?

After all, rumors start with just a mouth.

But to borrow what Tan Han said just now, I don’t need to explain my affairs to people who have nothing to do with me.

And the funny thing is, Tan Han said this using my way of speaking.

After straightening out the logic, I immediately felt much more relaxed.

Hehe, excessively immersing myself in my own heart and fantasies was indeed self-deception, scaring myself.

Even if the class group chat was so lively, when I jumped to the academy network, it was just one report.

This wasn’t everything.

“I think I saw the report about your ex-girlfriend. The other party is a student from Aphrodite Academy and doesn’t have an account at the Witch Academy, but these small clubs in the academy are really keen on creating various points of conflict. It’s really disgusting.”

At this moment, Tan Han’s words interrupted my thoughts again.

Obviously, Tan Han had also transformed into a gossip expert and started browsing information on the academy network.

After all, the senior sister just now said that Tan Han needed to rest here for a while longer to see if there were any problems, so Tan Han really had nothing to do right now.

“You find it disgusting too?”

“Yeah, do you care a lot?”

“I don’t.”

“Haha, although you usually pretend to be expressionless, when something really happens, you can’t help but show it on your face. Don’t worry, I know you care a lot. I’ll help you say a few words. I believe my words should carry a lot of weight.”

“As you wish.”

I glanced away, pretending to be scrolling through my phone, but I was looking at my own face through the black screen.

Did this face really show every emotion?

Why couldn’t I see it?

I opened my phone and subconsciously flipped to Big Sis Bai’s messages, because I found that after being busy for a long time, Big Sis Bai had actually sent me a private message.

But after reading it, it was all to comfort me that I would be fine, continuing from what we talked about yesterday.

And the message was sent in the morning, and it was already afternoon.

But I still replied.

Big Sis Bai’s private messages were special.

Perhaps I would ignore other people’s private messages if I saw them after a long time, but I couldn’t do that with Big Sis Bai’s.

Otherwise, if Big Sis Bai saw that I didn’t reply to her, what if she thought I was cyberbullied and tried to commit suicide?

Although it was impossible for me to be that fragile.

Just as I was replying, Tan Han also answered a phone call.

After a few words, she hung up.

“Hmm? Who?”

“It’s the shop manager and Senior Sister Ying Shiqian. They somehow got the news and are coming to see us. They’ve already reached the infirmary entrance and are asking which room I’m in,” Tan Han answered truthfully.

“The shop manager…”

Sure enough, there were still people who cared about Tan Han.

This treatment was different from Ji Niang’s.

She didn’t even show a bit of concern.

Not long after, I heard a clamor outside the room.

As soon as I opened the door, I saw the shop manager and the others carrying bags.

“Shop manager, Senior Sister Ying Shiqian, you came so quickly?”

I said as I opened the door.

“Little Han? You’re here too? Is Little Tan here too?”

“Yes.”

After letting the shop manager and the others in, I stepped aside.

I wasn’t the main character this time anyway.

Watching them chat enthusiastically, but soon, Senior Sister Ying Shiqian, who couldn’t get a word in, came and sat next to me.

“Senior Sister Ying Shiqian, are you the only one accompanying the shop manager?”

“That’s right, want some dessert? Let that fellow Tang Yihan look after the shop, let her be busy to death.”

Ying Shiqian opened the bag she was carrying.

It was the desserts from the bakery.

Alright, the get-well gift for Tan Han was from the shop, how convenient.

And Ying Shiqian was already eating.

“Thank you.”

I didn’t stand on ceremony either.

After all, I hadn’t eaten lunch yet, so it was good to fill my stomach.

“Why are you thanking me, you’re being too polite. By the way, Little Han, do you know how Little Tan fainted? If I wasn’t slacking off… ahem, anyway, if I hadn’t seen the latest news, I wouldn’t have known Tan Han fainted today.”

“Um… Senior sister, you get news really fast.”

I had to complain.

How long had it been since Tan Han fainted?

High-intensity slacking off, is that it?

“Not at all, don’t talk nonsense. This is a meritorious deed, how can it be considered slacking off? Tell senior sister, what’s wrong with Little Tan?”

“Tan Han was just practicing in a Dream State battle. The intensity was a bit high. From morning to afternoon, she didn’t even eat lunch, and then she fainted. It’s actually not serious. In the words of the senior sister here, if we had been a little slower in sending her, Tan Han might have woken up on the way.”

“Tan Han is working that hard?”

“Yeah… I guess. We ordinary students don’t understand the realm of study gods,” I said, shaking my head.

“Right, our minds can’t keep up with Tan Han… wait, I almost got led astray by you. You’re not bad either, Little Han. Woo woo woo, so I’m the only useless one in the bakery.”

“Alright, stop adding drama for yourself.”

“Hehe, just lamenting a bit. After all, Little Han, you are also a prodigy similar to Tan Han. Now you two are the Twin Prides of the Witch Academy’s newcomers. Two Little Hans, Little Han and Little Han, it’s hard to tell them apart. It’s really something to talk about.”

“Don’t listen to the nonsense online. It’s all false content. What’s so fun about it,” I said with a pout.

“Actually, I know too. The academy network is full of false news. I heard that it’s even rumored that one of the girls from Aphrodite Academy is your ex-girlfriend. Could it get any more fake?”

“Uh… this is fake news, right?”

The senior sister saw my expression and asked again uncertainly.

“…No.”

“Ah? Wait… Oh! I remember now, Little Han, you… aiyo, I didn’t say anything.”

Ying Shiqian realized what she had said in a low voice.

After all, Senior Sister Ying Shiqian and Senior Sister Tang Yihan both knew I used to be a boy.

Only the shop manager didn’t realize it at that time.

“Sorry… that, Little Han, are you okay?”

“I’m fine, it’s a small matter. I’m just afraid of trouble,” I shrugged again, indicating that it didn’t matter.

“It’s okay, Little Han, don’t worry. With my experience of having been in the academy for so long,” Senior Sister Ying Shiqian leaned close to my ear and whispered, you might be the coolest boy to ever make it here.

Since you’ve already accepted your current identity, don’t be afraid of other things.

Just be yourself.

I have connections too.

If someone really says something about you online, I’ll be the first to back you up.

Just focus on being a good witch.

Gender is not something a witch should care about.

As long as you join the big family of witches, we are all good sisters.

“Thank you…”

I whispered.

Is this how it feels to be comforted?

My mood really has improved a lot.

“Aiya, why are you thanking me? Have another piece of cake. Looking at you, you probably didn’t eat lunch either, right?”

“I indeed haven’t eaten.”

“Then eat more. Anyway, I brought a lot. If no one eats them, they’ll just pile up in the shop.”

While I was chatting with the senior sister, the shop manager and Tan Han also talked for a long time.

And I made an excuse to leave first.

After all, after the shop manager arrived, Tan Han no longer needed me to accompany her.

“Is Little Han leaving? Sorry, I was just chatting with Tan Han and almost forgot you were here too.”

“It’s okay, the shop manager should also care more about Tan Han. Tan Han is the one who got into trouble this time. It’s only right to accompany her more.”

“Little Han is so understanding. Then I won’t see you off?”

“Yes, goodbye, shop manager.”

After speaking, I left first.

Anyway, there was nothing for me to do here, so it was better to leave early.

“Shiqian, I’ll watch over things here. You go back and help Yihan. She’s probably a bit busy in the shop alone.”

“Huh? Alright…”

Senior Sister Ying Shiqian, who had finally come along to slack off, had to be sent away by the shop manager.

After watching Ying Shiqian leave, Shop Manager Xia Li closed the door and returned to Tan Han’s side.

And in her hand, which was in her pocket, there was an extra item, a lie-detecting alchemy item.

“Little Tan, you were too careless this time. You should pay attention to your body even in the Dream State.”
