Is It Weird for a Guy to Apply to a Witch School?

Chapter 187: Big Sis Bai’s Surprise

Back inside, I put away my phone.

As for the question Tan Han had just asked me, I would just pretend it was never asked.

Suddenly, I felt the atmosphere at this moment become strange, but I still silently prepared to return to my spot.

“Tsk, so awkward. It’s a problem that can be solved with just two words. Is it really that hard to tell her your Spirit Vision is Floating World?”

The clone came to my side at this moment, her tone a bit teasing, and her words specifically picked at my sore spot.

Perhaps my subconscious thought so too.

So what if I said it?

I was just answering someone who asked me a question.

“Floating World. My Spirit Vision level is Floating World.”

I only spoke when I was passing by Tan Han.

“What?”

“I’ve already told you, but I won’t say it a second time.”

I ignored Tan Han’s shocked expression and walked to my spot to start fiddling with my spellbook.

“That’s right, I feel much better now that I’ve said it. Phew See, it’s not a big deal even if Tan Han knows. Aren’t you going to look at Tan Han’s surprised expression?”

“I bet she’s about to say, how can your Spirit Vision possibly be at the Floating World level?”

“Is that so? So that’s how it is. As expected of a genius who can enter the Witch Academy.”

After learning this news, Tan Han, after a flash of surprise, accepted this reality, which also slapped the clone in the face.

Combining this answer with her own understanding, it seemed that many questions were suddenly solved.

Floating World, that was a level three stages higher than hers.

No wonder Little Han could so easily see through the internal structure of a spellbook, no wonder she could mod spellbooks so effortlessly.

Was this the shortcut to the transcendent, the window to observe the transcendent?

It was enough to erase a huge gap.

With such an ability, perhaps even acquiring strength was easy for Little Han, right?

It just required a little bit of time to settle.

As for why Little Han’s Spirit Vision was at the Floating World level, Tan Han didn’t ask.

This level was clearly not normal.

Perhaps it was an extraordinary talent, or something else.

There was nothing to be envious or jealous of.

It was like some people were born as nobles, while others were born as beggars.

She understood this point very well.

“I’m no genius, maybe I’m a madman. But I still think we don’t need to talk about this topic. By the way, I encountered something before, and I’ve always had a question I wanted to ask you. Is that okay?”

“Alright, you can ask.”

“Do you know what this is?”

I casually pulled a strand of Destiny thread and placed it in front of Tan Han.

“Hmm? Nothing?”

Tan Han looked at my strange action.

From her perspective, she saw me grab myself out of thin air, and then ask her this question with an empty hand.

But she quickly reacted.

The other party wasn’t the type of person who liked to make such jokes.

“No, is it something you saw with your Spirit Vision?”

“You can’t see it…”

I lowered my head and thought for a moment.

Logically speaking, as the protagonist of the script, how could Tan Han not see this?

“Theoretically, it is indeed something I saw with my Spirit Vision. Since you can’t see it, then I have my answer. Thank you, sorry to trouble you.”

“Is that so the world of Spirit Vision in your eyes must be very wonderful, right?”

Tan Han said with some envy as she looked at me.

“Wonderful? If all of those can be understood, then it can indeed be considered… wonderful… I guess.”

I said with uncertainty, leaving a little bit of expectation for the other party.

As for when the other party really arrives in that world, she can then come to her own conclusions.

“That’s the realm of a psychopath. If you want to ask if it’s wonderful, wouldn’t it be better to just go to a mental hospital and ask? Oh I forgot that we seem to have a history of mental illness too.”

“Shut up.”

This time, I directly eliminated this clone.

Honestly, always bringing up a sore subject.

“Hmm?”

Tan Han was a little puzzled by my sudden outburst.

She instinctively felt that I wasn’t talking to her, otherwise, the change in attitude was too great.

“Sorry, it was the Illusory Clone who said some strange things to me, I wasn’t talking about you.”

I said with a hint of apology.

“Illusory Clone? The one from that time…”

“That’s right, that’s the one.”

I nodded and said.

“The Illusory Clone can actually hit oneself?”

“Yes, and we can even chat. This spell is controlled by the caster’s subconscious, so it often says surprising things when we chat. Sorry, this is a habit of mine. I often use this spell to help me jump out of various strange thought loops and mindsets.”

I explained, although this habit of mine hadn’t lasted long, it was just yesterday’s thing?

“Can a spell be used like this?”

Tan Han was also very surprised by my use of the spell.

Using the Illusory Clone spell for self-communication, the subconscious helping the subjective consciousness to jump out of a fixed mindset?

She felt that she had received a new inspiration at this moment, a feeling she had never had before.

At this moment, she found that she seemed to have been pursuing power all along, ignoring too many things.

“Um… can I also meet this clone of yours?”

Tan Han asked carefully.

At this moment, she had also made up her mind to obtain such a spell.

There were really too few people in the academy she could communicate with.

She had too many halos, but she had also lost a lot.

Sometimes she knew very well that she was the one who wouldn’t let herself off the hook.

So, with this spell, could it fill such a void?

“You want to see her? She often does things beyond my control. I’m afraid she will interfere with you.”

I said.

“Quick, quick! She already asked. This girl wants to see my skills, so let her. Aren’t you bad at dealing with other people? Let me take over. I’ll handle her for you. A mere junior, let me, the senior, properly teach her how to be a woman.”

“Hurry up Big Sis Bai should be here soon, right? I’ll handle Tan Han for you, and you go have a private meeting with Big Sis Bai. What a great division of labor, right?”

“What do you mean by private meeting! You bastard.”

I cursed silently in my heart.

“Is there any difficulty?”

“No, I’m just afraid you won’t be able to stand her. Even I find her a bit unbearable. But since you want to see her, then I’ll let you see. However, when you see her, she may appear in your eyes as the version of me you imagine.”

In the end, I still compromised.

I came in front of Tan Han, and with a slight wave of my hand, after confirming that the other party had been hit by the spell at this moment, I returned to my spot.

“Hello, junior. I’m very happy that you would make the request to see me. Now your wish has finally come true. Is there anything you want to ask? I am much more understanding than that reticent version of me.”

At this moment, my clone came directly in front of Tan Han.

“Hello, are you Little Han’s clone?”

“Oh no, if possible, I would prefer you to use the previous address and call me senior. Calling me a clone is too rude.”

“Okay, Senior Xiao Han.”

“Ah, that ’senior’ really speaks to my heart. You probably don’t know that prickly one is actually very happy about it in her heart, but she just doesn’t want to show it. She wears a mask every moment of her life…”

“Ahem.”

At this moment, I suddenly coughed, interrupting the clone’s speech.

“Sorry Little Han, I think I know why you were worried about this.”

“Okay, then I’ll end the illusion effect.”

“Wait, actually, I think it’s quite nice to have such a clone around.”

“It’s senior, call me Senior Xiao Han.”

The clone corrected from the side.

“Yes, with Senior Xiao Han around, I think I won’t have to trouble you, Little Han, with many problems, right?”

Tan Han said, pointing to the spellbook model next to her.

“I still don’t have a clue about this, but Teacher Ji Niang expects me to master this spellbook today.”

“That’s not very likely. You can just ignore that requirement from Teacher Ji Niang.”

I said.

Even for me, it was a special thought that I wanted to master a spellbook in one day back then.

“But I will do my best.”

Tan Han didn’t directly deny my previous suggestion, but said she would work hard.

“By the way, did you see the academy’s notification today?”

“I did. Which one are you referring to?”

I asked.

“It’s about the academy opening the Dream State device pods, to prepare for the upcoming academy exchange competition, and also to let us students adapt to the dream state in advance. I heard that entering the dream state for the first time may cause physical discomfort.”

“I’ve heard about it.”

I nodded and said.

“Are you going to try it? There’s a lot of combat training content in the dream state, which is very suitable for practicing combat skills.”

“The dream state, huh. Let’s skip it for today.”

I shook my head and said.

“That’s true. Today is my first time trying to understand a spellbook, how can I give up halfway? And there must be a lot of people going to experience it today. Why don’t we go and try it tomorrow?”

“Okay, we can.”

I nodded and said.

Actually, I agreed because I realized my lack of practical combat experience.

Although I believed in crushing opponents with strength, skills could also be used to crush them.

Just like the Magic Wand Combat Technique I learned from the Earth Vein Memory, combined with spell knockbacks and such, it was no problem even against a Transformation Spell.

I remember that the top ten rankings seemed to have a custom-made alchemy item.

Should I take this opportunity to customize a magic wand suitable for this Magic Wand Combat Technique?

But those rewards were already gone from me.

Thinking about it again now felt so sad.

“Little Han, are you okay?”

Tan Han came over and asked when she saw me lost in my own thoughts.

“It’s fine, she’s just trapped in the pain of the postponed rewards for the top ten of the Newcomer Competition again.”

“Shut up. If you say something you shouldn’t, be careful or I’ll silence you for good.”

I stared at the clone and said.

“Al… alright, let’s get back to business.”

Tan Han hurried forward to smooth things over.

She had finally witnessed how one could be so at odds with oneself.

But would a clone also do something like airing dirty laundry?

Soon, 8401 fell into a busy atmosphere.

I was busy familiarizing myself with knowledge related to illusion magic, while Tan Han was using my permission to painstakingly understand a field she couldn’t touch.

It wasn’t until there was a knock on the door of this classroom that I put down what I was doing.

It was obviously Big Sis Bai.

So I moved to the door before Tan Han could make a move.

After opening it, Big Sis Bai’s familiar smiling face appeared in front of me.

“Big Sis Bai”

I closed the door behind me as I walked outside, then called out.

“Little Han, that person inside just now…”

“Uh… that’s Tan Han.”

I was also a bit embarrassed by Big Sis Bai’s question.

The previous agreement hadn’t been abolished for long.

In Big Sis Bai’s eyes, I was probably getting involved with Tan Han again, right?

“Um, it was Tan Han who took the initiative to join my research group. I only found out this morning.”

“It’s okay, Little Han, you don’t have to explain like this. I understand. Just be mindful of your limits.”

Big Sis Bai said with a smile, stroking my head.

“Okay.”

“Alright, alright, we just met and it’s like this. I came here with a surprise for you! Don’t you want to know what it is?”

“Eh? What is it?”

I asked curiously.

“It’s a spellbook.”

“A spellbook?”

Hearing this answer, I tilted my head, not quite sure what kind of surprise this was.

Was I lacking spellbooks?

Or could that spellbook be!

“That’s right. It’s the one you’re thinking of! Memory Bookshelf! A spell that can help you remember!”

“Re… really! Big Sis Bai, why did you specifically give this to me?”

I took the material carrying the spellbook that Big Sis Bai handed over, still feeling a bit incredulous and unreal.

“I saw how you were yesterday, and heard what you said, so I went to look for it. It was actually a coincidence. I happened to learn about related spellbooks, so I spent a little price to find it for you.”

“Eh? So what you said about having something to do yesterday was actually this?”

“That’s right.”

“Then… I…”

When I thought about how I pushed Big Sis Bai yesterday, telling her to hurry up if she had something to do, only to find out now that she was looking for something for me, I immediately felt extremely ashamed!

I really owed her so much!

And even for someone as wealthy as Big Sis Bai, she used the word ”price” to describe it.

No matter how you looked at it, the price couldn’t be low, right?

I recalled the pained look on the shop manager’s face at that time.

Wouldn’t this spellbook be even more precious?

“Alright, Little Han, don’t overthink it. Just use it well. Consider it a small token from Big Sis Bai.”

“Mmm okay! Big Sis Bai is too good to me!”

“So, Little Han, do you have anything to show me in return?”

“Eh?”

I stared blankly at Big Sis Bai, not expecting her to say that.

This was putting me in a difficult position!

How should I express it?

Give money?

Does Big Sis Bai lack money?

Give… give resources?

Or what?

“Little Han, what’s wrong? Haven’t you thought of anything? Then just give me a kiss.”

“What! A kiss!”

I was immediately made to blush beet red by Big Sis Bai’s words…

“Just think of it as a friendly interaction between best friends, okay? Here on my cheek.”

Bai Yu was very satisfied with my reaction and finally took a step back, pointing to her own cheek.

At this moment, the crisp sound of footsteps echoed in the stairwell from the stairs, a hand holding a phone was looking at an address on it: Classroom 8401.

“Okay, th-then alright. Can interactions between best friends be so intimate?”

Although I still wanted to complain, at this moment, it felt like the arrow was on the bowstring and had to be shot.

Besides, this request wasn’t too excessive, was it?

I just felt like Big Sis Bai had ulterior motives for me…

But no matter what, I still leaned in.

From this angle, I could even smell the faint, fresh fragrance on Big Sis Bai.

Was this the first time I realized that Big Sis Bai was this kind of fragrant type?

But in the end, I still closed my eyes and gave a light peck on Big Sis Bai’s cheek.

It was gentle, without even a sound.

“Eh? Little Han, did you kiss me? I didn’t feel it.”

“I already did!”

“Can we do it again? I really didn’t feel it just now.”

Big Sis Bai said with a smile.

“Re… really, this is the last time, okay!”

I emphasized in a low voice and kissed her again, this time even making a small, crisp sound.

Clang——

A much louder, crisp sound rang out not far away, like a phone falling to the ground, making both me and Big Sis Bai subconsciously look in that direction.

“You! You two! I knew your relationship wasn’t normal!”

At the corner of the stairs at the end of this floor, a figure made a trembling accusation, then wretchedly picked up the phone from the ground, which may or may not have been broken, and turned to flee from the stairwell.

“Oh? Is that Yao Beijuan? I didn’t remember the name wrong, did I?”

“Ye… yes, that’s right.”

I belatedly pulled away from Big Sis Bai at this moment.

“What’s wrong? Little Han, your ex-girlfriend has already misunderstood, and she’s gone. Why are you still pushing me away?”

“Um, sorry, I didn’t expect this to happen either…”

“Since the misunderstanding has already occurred, then… What do you intend to do? Are you going to explain?”

Bai Yu continued to press.

“Explain what? I’m not obligated to explain to her, am I?”

I turned my head away and said.

“That’s true. Then I’ll be going now.”

Big Sis Bai said to me with a smile, her face also showing a satisfied smile, and then she prepared to leave.

“Eh? You’re leaving already?”

“Yes. What, you can’t bear to see me go?”

“No, of course not.”

At this moment, Bai Yu didn’t say anything more, but turned around and walked towards the stairs.

And as she turned away, the smile on her lips couldn’t be hidden.

At least things were progressing smoothly, and she had killed two birds with one stone, hadn’t she?

The script was really interesting.

She really had to thank that Teacher Xi Lan for this.

Bai Yu silently and completely deleted that chat log, then put her phone away.

There was no need to reply.

The other party had probably seen everything, right?

She owed another favor.

In the end, it was the fate of a worker.

It could also be considered the price to pay after knowing the concept of the script.

As long as the result was good, and the other party’s requirements were met, it would be fine.

And by the way she could also take a little advantage.
