I Sell Mobile Phones Like a Swindler, and Customers Beg Me Not to Go Out of Business

48: Chapter 48: Wearing Bluetooth headphones to listen to music, Pang Xietang suspects Xiaobai has epilepsy.Pang Xietang was beyond worried!

He had mortgaged his entire net worth, yet the shop was piled high with so many phones that simply wouldn’t sell!

He wanted to return this stock to Li Xiang Technology now, but he couldn’t get through to Xue Haixin on the phone at all.

If he tried to go to the Li Xiang Technology headquarters to return the goods himself, they certainly wouldn’t even let him in the door!

Looking at a room full of useless phones just gathering dust, he was truly anxious and heartbroken, regretting his recklessness and wishing he hadn’t gotten involved in the struggle between the two giants.

Meanwhile, Bai Jingqing returned to the shop, closed his eyes, and searched through the System Mall.

The so-called mobile phone accessories currently in his shop were actually just cheap little gadgets.

Moreover, items like phone cases and tempered glass films rarely fit the xiaomi 4 or xiaomi 5, so if he wanted to give gifts, he could at most offer some wired earphones, chargers, and data cables.

So, he began looking for other items in the system to sell.

He first looked at Bluetooth earphones; having been in this era for so long, being restricted to wired earphones made him quite uncomfortable.

In this era, there were no commercially viable Bluetooth earphones, a limitation stemming from Bluetooth transmission technology.

It wasn’t until Bluetooth transmission technology updated to Bluetooth 5.0 that true wireless Bluetooth earphones capable of large-scale commercial use appeared.

Furthermore, if he remembered correctly, the first commercially viable true wireless Bluetooth earphones in his past life were the Apple AirPods.

He even specifically checked and found that the xiaomi 5 currently on sale—or rather, the xiaomi 4—only supported Bluetooth 4.3 technology.

This meant that if he unlocked wireless Bluetooth earphones now, the xiaomi 4 and xiaomi 5 currently on sale wouldn’t be able to use them.

However, the unique xiaomi 6 in his hand already adopted Bluetooth 5.3 technology, so using those Bluetooth earphones from later generations would certainly be no problem.

He looked around and found that most well-known Bluetooth earphones were quite expensive; some even had a cost price higher than the xiaomi 6 he currently held!

However, he felt that unlocking one wouldn’t hurt. After all, he had the xiaomi 6 as a fallback, and his profit points were just sitting there anyway. Even if the xiaomi 4 and xiaomi 5 currently on sale couldn’t use the Bluetooth earphones, he could enjoy them himself!

Furthermore, Bluetooth earphones could become one of his trump cards.

So, he set his sights on the OPPO Enco Air 2, a relatively affordable model he had used in his past life and found quite good. It required 520,000 profit points to unlock and had a cost price of 52 yuan, so he unlocked it immediately.

In addition to that, he selected a few other items, such as silicone phone cases, Pitaka phone cases, YuanDao wired earphones, and so on.

He had actually noticed these items long ago, so even though they hadn’t been unlocked, he had already listed them on the posters outside. Now, he unlocked them all directly.

It is worth noting that unlocking phone cases only required unlocking the corresponding material, and the system would then produce cases for different phone models accordingly. Of course, the costs varied.

For instance, unlocking silicone phone cases required 100,000 profit points, while the cost for the corresponding silicone phone cases for the xiaomi 4 or xiaomi 5 was only 5 yuan.

The Pitaka series phone cases, which used 1500D aramid fiber and magnetic induction, required 1,000,000 profit points to unlock, with the cost for the corresponding xiaomi 4 or xiaomi 5 Pitaka phone cases coming in at 20 yuan.

Good grief, that was almost as expensive as the cost of the phone itself! However, compared to his selling prices of 1,999 and 2,999, 20 yuan was naturally negligible—he could just give them away.

He hadn’t unlocked so many items because he had too many profit points to spend, but because he was preparing for the launch of his online store. He couldn’t just sell two items—the xiaomi 4 and xiaomi 5—when the online store opened, could he? The xiaomi 6 couldn’t even be sold yet.

Unlocking some other accessories at this time would enrich his online store and make his product range appear more substantial.

Since he couldn’t find anything better, Bai Jingqing had the system produce a pair of OPPO Enco Air 2 Bluetooth earphones for him.

He took them in his hand, paired them with the xiaomi 6 he was holding, and put them on.

”Damn! Bluetooth earphones are just so much more comfortable!” Bai Jingqing couldn’t help but exclaim.

Although this model wasn’t high-end and didn’t even feature noise cancellation, listening to audio in a slightly noisy environment was definitely much more comfortable than using the external speaker!

Furthermore, these were wireless earphones; the feeling of being free from the constraints of headphone cables was fantastic!

There were no customers in the shop at the moment, and a few employees were busy packing and sealing boxes nearby. Bai Jingqing put on the Bluetooth earphones, opened a music app, and started playing games while listening to music—it was pure bliss!

In this era, there weren’t so many memberships, and even listening to music on music apps was free.

Wearing the Bluetooth earphones, Bai Jingqing listened to music and played games, which even helped him recapture a bit of the feeling from before he transmigrated.

Across the way, Pang Xietang was observing from time to time. He watched as Bai Jingqing pulled a small, translucent case from somewhere. Just as he was wondering what it was, he saw Bai Jingqing take two small gadgets out of the case and put them in his ears.

Afterward, Bai Jingqing started holding his phone, doing who knows what. He would occasionally hum and mutter to himself, and his body would twitch and jerk from time to time—his behavior was extremely bizarre.

”That looks like an epileptic seizure!” Pang Xietang was shocked. He immediately recalled his grandfather, who had suffered from epilepsy. He had been young when his grandfather’s seizures occurred, but they had left an indelible impression on him.

”Huh? Could this Bai Jingqing actually be crazy? No wonder, no wonder! It’s no wonder he was selling phones at such a low price, maliciously disrupting the market order; he was selling at a complete loss! What normal person would do that? Isn’t it foolish to not make money when you can? But it seems this Bai Jingqing is a genuine fool! So he has mental issues; his mind must be deranged. Look at his body twitching and him shaking his head constantly—isn’t that an epileptic seizure? Haven’t the employees next to him noticed? Why aren’t they rushing him to the hospital?”

It was no wonder Pang Xietang thought Bai Jingqing was crazy. The song Bai Jingqing was listening to was quite rhythmic, so his body couldn’t help but sway along, shaking his head and humming from time to time. Even the employees helping nearby couldn’t help but glance over at him.

In this era, there was no concept of Bluetooth earphones, and they had no idea what it was that Bai Jingqing was wearing in his ears.
