I Sell Mobile Phones Like a Swindler, and Customers Beg Me Not to Go Out of Business

36: Chapter 36 Oh no, I’ve become a scalper! It has to be said, the power of the internet is truly immense.

After Bai Jingqing’s phone store became famous on the gaming forums, more and more people quickly started rushing over, and of course, people kept calling him to reserve phones.

There were too many people and it was too chaotic, which troubled Bai Jingqing quite a bit.

However, in this day and age, online shopping already exists. Although it’s not as widespread as in later generations, and although the average person might not be able to navigate it well, it still serves as a solution.

Anyway, the main customers he is facing right now are gamers, who are all quite proficient with the internet.

He saw that there was still a bulky desktop computer in the house, so he planned to prepare to set up an online store during this period; it would be much more convenient to sell goods then.

On this side, there was a hot rush to buy, while on the other side, it looked much more pathetic.

Pang Xietang couldn’t help but spit on the ground: ”Damn it, sell it! Sell it! Go bankrupt, you son of a bitch! Is he even human? What kind of specs are you selling for 2999? Refusing to make money when it’s right there—if that’s not stupid, what is? And he called me stupid; I think you’re the biggest idiot of all!”

Of course, Pang Xietang wasn’t completely brainless. He noticed that the xiaomi 5 only had a processor upgrade compared to the xiaomi 4, so he began to doubt whether this snapdragon 820 could really run honor of kings smoothly, just as Bai Jingqing’s sign claimed.

However, Pang Xietang’s doubts were quickly shattered because he saw many people at the scene buying the phones, immediately opening the packaging, connecting to Wi-Fi, and downloading honor of kings.

Bai Jingqing had already downloaded honor of kings on the display units long ago, so many people who found the download too slow just picked up the display units and started playing honor of kings.

They started testing it on the spot, each taking turns to play a round, and everyone was having a great time.

”Damn! Awesome!”

”Damn! Silky smooth!”

”Damn! Badass!”

”Really badass! This phone is way better than that so-called ideal a8, and that so-called Apple 6 Plus! It has to be Xiaomi!”

”xiaomi 5 is badass! Boss Bai is truly too good! He really isn’t lying to us! He said it could stabilize above 30 FPS, and it absolutely can! I played it myself, and the experience is maxed out! The frame rate really hasn’t dropped below 30, and at its peak, it can even stay stable around 50 FPS for a long time!”

”And besides this chip, the other specs of this phone are also maxed out! The 13MP rear camera, while not top-tier, is definitely high-end! The 8MP front camera even comes with beauty filters—this is truly unrivaled on the market right now! Young ladies will love it! Picking up girls will be so much easier from now on! As for storage, 3+64 GB is completely enough! Too badass, Boss Bai! From now on, I’m only going to you for phones—xiaomi phone, right? From now on, I’m only buying xiaomi phone!”

Bai Jingqing was also very happy; with so many people, he didn’t know how many profit points he would earn this time.

But this wasn’t enough; these current profit points were still far from unlocking the xiaomi 6. He needed more customers, and he wasn’t worried about selling out, as his stock here was unlimited.

So he spoke up: ”Brothers, if you think my xiaomi phone is good, please help me promote it online, or recommend it to your friends and family in real life! Because my store is a bit out of the way and doesn’t have much fame, if I want to expand sales, I can only rely on you good friends to help me promote it. Let’s just consider 2999 as making friends, alright?”

”Good!” A group of people shouted in response.

Usually, when those manufacturers asked for help with promotion, they would definitely ignore them, or even find it annoying.

You buy their stuff and still have to help them promote it? Who the hell are you?

If your product is good, that’s one thing, but if it’s not good and you still have to help promote it, that’s even worse than eating shit.

But Boss Bai is different. Right now, in their eyes, Boss Bai is like a great man; he is truly too selfless, too great!

Such a good phone, selling for only 2999—if this isn’t charity, what is?

And in this process, they also heard Bai Jingqing talk about his philosophy for opening the phone store: it was just to allow more people to enjoy the fun brought by technology, just to make friends with everyone.

”Selling phones isn’t for making money, it’s just to make friends with everyone.”

This is the real people’s entrepreneur!

Someone said sincerely: ”Ordinary companies earn profits, great companies win people’s hearts!”

Bai Jingqing’s eyes lit up when he heard this; he walked over and patted the young man on the shoulder: ”Good! That’s well said! From now on, I will print this sentence on all of our invoices to inspire myself to never forget my original intention!”

”Badass! Badass!”

”Brother, you’re talented!”

Many people cheered.

This sentence was indeed badass.

Ordinary companies win profits, great companies win people’s hearts, and Bai Jingqing intended to build that great company.

However, many people were still very worried and would advise him from time to time: ”Boss Bai, why don’t you raise the price a little? A price of 2999 is really too much of a loss!”

”Right, Boss Bai, you should raise the price a bit. If not, raise it to 3999 or 4999; it’s not particularly expensive, and you could lose less money. I think quite a few people would still buy it.”

”Indeed! The xiaomi 5 phone is really badass, I think it’s worth that price! You really can raise it a reasonable amount; at least you have to break even, right? I don’t think 2999 even covers the cost!”

”Right, Boss Bai, raise the price a bit, please don’t go out of business! If you go out of business, where are we going to buy such good phones?”

Bai Jingqing shook his head: ”No! Raising the price is absolutely not allowed! Even if I lose everything, I won’t raise it! I have already made a promise to everyone, and brothers have already recorded videos with the phones earlier. No matter what, I will never raise the price! I’m the kind of person who likes to make friends with everyone, who likes to lose money to bring good products to everyone. Even if I lose so much money that I become the richest person in the world, I will absolutely not raise the price! I will emphasize to everyone again: my phones will only go down in price! They will absolutely not go up! Brothers, don’t talk to me about raising prices in the future; this kind of thing absolutely cannot happen to me! Whatever price I set, that’s what I sell it for! It’s only possible for the price to drop after newer and better phones come out; it is absolutely impossible to raise the price just because it sells well! Also, when you promote it online, add one more thing: tell everyone not to be fooled by scalpers! There is absolutely no need for anyone to pay extra to buy from scalpers. If you want the goods, come find me. My stock here will never be in short supply; I promise everyone there will always be stock available! Definitely don’t buy at a high price from scalpers and let them profit!”

At this moment, far away on the other side of the city, Peng Rizhao also sneezed several times in a row. Oh no, I’ve become a scalper!
