I Sell Mobile Phones Like a Swindler, and Customers Beg Me Not to Go Out of Business

44: Chapter 44 Customer service got a thorough dressing-downInitially, the head of the customer service department felt that a price reduction of two hundred yuan should be considered a very significant discount.

She felt that this should be enough to appease the anger of the gamers.

However, after just one morning, they were being cursed at to the point of questioning their very existence.

What they didn’t expect was that after they told these gamers about the two-hundred-yuan discount, the gamers became even more furious and continued to roast them mercilessly!

As customer service representatives, their psychological resilience was naturally very strong, and it was fine to deal with the occasional unreasonable customer, but they had never been cursed at with such high intensity in such a short period of time.

They finally realized the true power of gamers’ foul mouths; one by one, they were scolded to the point where their mental fortitude shattered, and they were almost on the verge of a breakdown.

Several young women couldn’t take it anymore and ran over to cry to her, the head of the department.

Naturally, she could only comfort them and tell them not to pay attention to those foul-mouthed people.

However, she also held a nameless rage burning inside her.

After persuading the young women who came to cry to her to leave, she went to find the head of the technical department again and said, ”Is our ideal a8 Pro phone really that trashy?”

”Why is everyone on the internet cursing it now? It must be that the gaming performance data for the ideal a8 Pro is too poor; otherwise, there would be no reason for netizens to be so foul-mouthed!”

The head of the technical department raised his eyebrows, not expecting to be saddled with such a huge blame right from the start.

He immediately threw the dirty water back: ”Can you stop talking nonsense! Are you questioning our technical department’s competence?”

”Let me tell you, we have been cooperating with Tencent for a long time and have done our best to optimize the gaming performance on the ideal a8 Pro. How can you just open your mouth and throw mud at us like that?”

”Why don’t you look for reasons within yourself? On the contrary, I feel that the reason you are being cursed at is because those customer service representatives didn’t promote it well enough, or perhaps there is an issue with their service attitude?”

The head of the customer service department glared, eyes wide open: ”You! You! How can you talk such nonsense?”

”Our customer service staff have all received specialized training; how could there be a problem with their service attitude?”

”It is obviously because the gaming performance of the ideal a8 Pro is too poor, and those gamers are dissatisfied, which is why they are cursing us!”

The head of the technical department replied, ”Regardless, we have done our utmost to optimize it. In any case, the ideal a8 Pro getting cursed at is not our problem.”

The head of the customer service department was very puzzled because she knew that her subordinates would not make such low-level mistakes, but the technical department also claimed they were not at fault. So, where did the problem lie?

”Is it possible that the parameters you gave us are wrong? Otherwise, there would be no reason for the players to be so furious!”

Soon, the head of the customer service department thought of another possibility.

The head of the technical department nodded, ”What materials are you using for promotion? Let me see them.”

The head of the customer service department then showed the technical department head the materials sent by headquarters.

After looking at it, the head of the technical department was also confused: ”There’s no problem here; this is the material. I can even recite these few points by heart.”

Now, the head of the customer service department couldn’t think of any other reasons, but she also knew that it was definitely wrong to shift the blame onto the technical staff now.

After arguing for a while longer, the head of the customer service department suddenly came to her senses: ”Right, I suddenly remembered something. I think I know why!”

”I remember several customers mentioning something about a xiaomi phone, but I didn’t pay much attention to it at the time.”

”Because we in customer service are not allowed to mention other mobile phone brands in our promotional scripts, but now that I think about it, it seems like a lot of people mentioned this xiaomi phone!”

”Have you heard of this xiaomi phone?”

The head of the technical department shook his head: ”Never heard of it. It must be some knock-off phone.”

The head of the customer service department asked, ”Could it be that this knock-off phone is so impressive that it makes our Li Xiang Phone look like trash by comparison?”

The technical staff member said, ”How is that possible?! How could a knock-off phone be better than our Li Xiang Phone?! Are you joking?”

The head of the customer service department returned to her office and searched for xiaomi phone online, but she couldn’t find any mobile phone manufacturer named Xiaomi.

She really couldn’t figure it out, so she simply stopped thinking about it; this wasn’t a problem she should be worrying about anyway.

In any case, the players’ emotions were indeed quite agitated and angry, so she could only report the current situation to her superiors.

In Xue Haixin’s office. After hearing about the matter, Xue Haixin was also puzzled.

Why didn’t the price reduction strategy work? The players were even angrier than before?

Then, hearing from customer service that it might be because some xiaomi phone was stronger than their ideal a8 Pro, he shook his head repeatedly: ”Impossible!”

”How could a knock-off phone be stronger than our Li Xiang Phone? We have always monopolized technology like this!”

But if that wasn’t the reason, then the players’ anger was truly inexplicable!

”Could it be that those players united together, deliberately trying to mess with our Li Xiang Technology? Because we have indeed been selling them quite expensively all along.”

”Or perhaps other mobile phone manufacturers are deliberately messing with us? That possibility also exists. Forget it, you go down first, I need to think about this carefully.”

Xue Haixin dismissed the head of the customer service department and sank into his soft, large sofa, lost in thought.

At this very moment, on the gaming forums, many players were still accusing the Li Xiang Phone of being a scam.

”Damn it, the Li Xiang Phone claimed they worked with Tencent for three years to optimize it, but in the end, the performance data is even worse than the xiaomi 5! With the xiaomi 5, even with all settings maxed out, it wouldn’t drop below 30 FPS at its worst, yet the Li Xiang Phone has an average frame rate of only 28? Can you imagine this?”

”What are these big manufacturers doing for a living? Can they not even beat a knock-off factory? Do they think we’re used to being fed sh*t? Brothers, no one buy the Li Xiang Phone this time!”

”I’m really f*cking pissed. How can they be so confident in promoting such a trashy phone? They made such a huge fuss about it; I thought there was some breakthrough, but this is it?”

”And for such a trashy phone, Li Xiang Technology even dares to sell it for 9999. If this isn’t ripping people off, what is? It is completely consumer fraud!”

”Not only that, Li Xiang Technology also looks down on us gamers. Selling it for 9999 is one thing, but seeing us all so furious, they probably thought we were short on cash, so they gave us a 200-yuan coupon as if they were pitying us. Damn it, who is short on this 200 yuan, right?”
