I Sell Mobile Phones Like a Swindler, and Customers Beg Me Not to Go Out of Business

34: Chapter 34 Pang Xietang is excited; the price is finally going to be changed! After seeing Wang Hongda off, Peng Rizhao immediately called Bai Jingqing.

”Boss Bai, I’m letting you know that the xiaomi 5 is selling really well. It has a great reputation among honor of kings players. Many friends from other areas want to order it too, so I gave them your phone number and address. You might get a lot of people contacting you, or even coming to your shop.”

Bai Jingqing nodded and said, ”Alright, thanks brother. If you need more stock, just come to me to get it. I have plenty.”

Peng Rizhao was overjoyed, ”Sure, I’ll come get some more stock tomorrow.”

Bai Jingqing had been waiting for this exact moment. He had given Peng Rizhao the stock because he knew Peng Rizhao was close to the local university town, where the foot traffic was huge. He was just waiting for the reputation of the xiaomi 5 to fully take off.

Anticipating that quite a few people would come, he had the system assemble 200 units and store them in the warehouse behind his phone shop.

Afterward, he walked out of his phone shop, tore down the old sign, and put up a new one. He stood before the new sign with a marker, briefly contemplating what to write.

At this moment, Pang Xietang, who was across the street, almost cried out. ”Damn it! Damn it! He finally couldn’t hold out! How long has he been selling them? Is he finally going to change the price now?”

Naturally, he had been following the release of honor of kings recently, and he had seen that many phones simply couldn’t handle playing honor of kings smoothly. It was exactly as Chairman Xue had said!

Now, seeing Bai Jingqing finally changing the sign at the entrance, and sure enough, writing ”Play honor of kings Smoothly” on it, he realized he had indeed been waiting for this opportunity to recoup the losses he’d taken earlier! Chairman Xue was truly godlike in his predictions!

”Finally couldn’t hold out and decided to raise the price, huh?” Pang Xietang jumped up from his seat in excitement and went to the entrance of Bai Jingqing’s shop, saying, ”Oh, Bai, you finally couldn’t hold out, could you? Why are you raising the price?”

Bai Jingqing rolled his eyes at Pang Xietang: ”Idiot!”

Pang Xietang was furious: ”Is that how you speak to your elder? Do you think you have the right to talk to me like that? Let me tell you, the day you start raising prices is the day you’re finished! Just you wait, no matter what price you write, I will definitely be lower than you!”

”It’s just a phone that can play honor of kings smoothly, right? Let me tell you, I have a huge stock of Li Xiang Phone here! And most of them are ideal a8! The ideal a8 was specially optimized for honor of kings, so the ideal a8 is definitely better than the phone you’re selling!”

”And do you know what? I tested the ideal a8 phone today, and it can even stabilize honor of kings at 25 FPS! It can even break 30 FPS from time to time! Can your crappy phone do that? As far as I know, all the phones on the market right now can’t even hit 20 FPS!”

”And taking a step back, even if your phone could stabilize at 25 FPS, Li Xiang Phone is a big brand! Who would buy your knock-off, bootleg phone? And my price will definitely be a bit lower than yours, hahaha! I’ll see if you can still curse after a while!”

Bai Jingqing cursed again: ”Idiot!” Then he picked up the pen and continued writing on the sign.

”New xiaomi 5 phone, snapdragon 835 processor, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, 3+64GB storage...”

Seeing that this so-called xiaomi 5 had basically the same specs as the previous xiaomi 4, Pang Xietang couldn’t help but laugh out loud: ”Hahahaha! I knew your supply channel was failing; you didn’t even upgrade the specs much! You just swapped in a so-called snapdragon 820 chip, is it really going to be better than the Ideal 6-series chip?”

Bai Jingqing completely treated Pang Xietang like a lunatic. ”Idiot!” He cursed again, then continued writing.

Finally, all the specs were written, and next was the price. Pang Xietang was very excited at this moment, even feeling his body trembling.

”Hurry up and write the price! Let me see how much you’re raising it to; I’ll definitely be a bit lower than whatever you write!” He didn’t look any further, but hurriedly returned to his own shop, took out the poster he had already prepared, and hung it at the shop entrance.

However, when he came back out, he found that Bai Jingqing had already written the price and gone back inside. He looked closely, ”2999? What? 2999?! Are you kidding me? Did you miss a digit? Is it a 1? 2999, are you trying to be funny?”

He hurriedly ran over to remind Bai Jingqing: ”Oh, Bai, Uncle is reminding you, you wrote the price outside wrong, you missed a 1.”

Bai Jingqing still only had two words in reply: ”Idiot!”

Pang Xietang was completely annoyed: ”Why the hell do you keep cursing? Bai Jingqing, I’m trying to remind you out of the kindness of my heart, don’t treat my good intentions like donkey liver and lungs!”

Bai Jingqing: ”Get lost! Once my customers arrive in a bit, you standing at the door will affect my business!”

Pang Xietang: ”You, you, you... Fine! Just you wait! When customers come later, I’ll definitely poach them all to my side!” Afterward, he returned to his own phone shop in a rage.

How the hell am I supposed to do this now! With his price of 2999, I can’t match that, right? Even though I got this stock from Li Xiang Phone using an internal channel price, the cost is still 5000 yuan! If I really sold it for 2999 now, wouldn’t that be a pure loss? How could he possibly follow the guy across the street and lose money like that?

But he felt unwilling to give up. If he couldn’t beat him on price, surely he had an advantage in branding, right? After all, Li Xiang Phone was a big brand, the largest phone manufacturer in the country; it must be much better than that xiaomi phone of unknown origin, right?

So he took a few sheets of A4 paper to the door, covered up the ”Lowest Price in the City” written on his two big posters, and then stood at the door and started shouting: ”Li Xiang Phone! Big brand phone! Play honor of kings smoothly! A steady 25 FPS! Come and take a look! Li Xiang Phone! Big brand phone! Play honor of kings smoothly! A steady 25 FPS! Come and take a look!”

”Don’t be greedy for cheap prices and buy those knock-off phones. In the end, after using them for half a month, they’ll lag until you doubt your life. Isn’t that just throwing money away? Big brands have guarantees! I have brand new Li Xiang Phone here, the price is much lower than usual! Come take a look!”

Soon, a crowd surged over. Pang Xietang thought his shouting had worked, so he shouted even more enthusiastically. However, those people weren’t heading toward his side; instead, they were walking into the phone shop across the street.

”Hey! Did you guys go the wrong way? I’m the one shouting over here! I have new, flagship ideal a8 phones, the price is extremely low! I guarantee everyone can play honor of kings smoothly!”

However, his shouting was met with insults from the crowd. ”Idiot! Can you keep it down?” ”Idiot! You were shouting so loud, I thought it was a xiaomi phone. What the hell is a Li Xiang Phone? Get lost as far as you can!” ”Idiot! I’m using an ideal a8 right now, do you think I don’t know? ’Play honor of kings smoothly’? It’s total crap! It lags even just trying to enter the game!”
