I Sell Mobile Phones Like a Swindler, and Customers Beg Me Not to Go Out of Business

18: Chapter 18 You are noble, you are remarkable!Peng Rizhao was already preparing to leave when he heard the young man behind him shout, ”100 units, not a single one less!”

He stopped in his tracks and turned back.

However, he still felt that there must be something fishy about this.

He couldn’t help but ask, ”Young man, are you thinking of raising the price? Let me tell you, if it’s too expensive, there’s no point in me taking them. This phone of yours, with a processor I’ve never heard of, probably won’t sell well if I take it now. If you want to raise the price, I don’t need to buy so many.”

Bai Jingqing shook his head repeatedly, ”Raise the price? When did I say I wanted to raise the price? I can guarantee you, I will absolutely not raise the price! In fact, it will only go down; it will never go up! It’s impossible to raise the price, even if you kill me. If you buy this many, I can even give you a better deal.”

Peng Rizhao looked at Bai Jingqing’s earnest expression, which didn’t seem like an act, and was surprised to hear that he could lower the price even further. ”Ah? You can lower it even more? 1999 is already cheap enough, no need to lower it further!”

He then glanced at Pang Xietang, thinking the young man might be saying this on purpose because he was afraid of losing face in front of Pang Xietang.

He didn’t want to be used as a tool by Pang Xietang to purposely drive this young man into a dead end, so he said considerately, ”But do you not have the stock on hand right now? Do you need to get more? If that’s the case, I can wait. To be able to buy a phone with these specs for 1999, I don’t mind waiting a few extra days.”

This could be considered giving Bai Jingqing a way out; as long as Bai Jingqing admitted that he didn’t have that much stock, then he would just consider it his bad luck to have made a wasted trip today.

But Bai Jingqing shook his head repeatedly, ”No, no, no, there’s no need to wait. As long as you pay, I can hand over the goods to you right now.”

Both Peng Rizhao and Pang Xietang were stunned. The two exchanged glances. Pang Xietang had originally thought, seeing the young man’s shocked expression earlier, that he couldn’t produce so many phones and was just about to mock him, but he didn’t expect the kid to be playing for real!

Peng Rizhao widened his eyes and took another look at the young man. Is there something wrong with this kid? Could what Old Pang said be true? No! He thought of another possibility. Is there a possibility that this young man is actually trying to launder money? After all, this price is way too low! Is it possible he has a sum of illicit money he can’t handle, so he’s using this method to clean it?

But then he reconsidered. It’s only 100 phones, selling for 2000 yuan each, that’s only a little over 200,000. What kind of money is there to launder with just 200,000!

He was completely baffled and couldn’t understand why the phones this young man was selling were so cheap. Regardless of how that processor performed, looking at the other specs alone, it was already worth this price!

Pang Xietang sneered and stopped speaking entirely, just coldly watching the interaction between the two. Fine! It seems this kid has deep pockets! Or perhaps he’s afraid of losing face in front of him, so he’s completely resigned to taking the loss and swallowing his pride. After all, he is watching right here on the scene. Perhaps this Bai Jingqing is still too young, hot-blooded, and competitive; he’s just fighting for his pride and refuses to lose face in front of him, so he’s stubbornly claiming he can produce the goods while in his presence. He wanted to see today if he could actually produce the goods!

Originally just testing the waters, Peng Rizhao already felt he was getting a great deal, so he said, ”It’s alright, young man. Don’t listen to Old Pang trying to provoke you. I don’t need 100 units; 50, no, 20 units will do. You’ll lose less money on 20 units.”

Bai Jingqing shook his head repeatedly, ”No, no, I want 100 units, not a single one less!”

Peng Rizhao was helpless. He had originally been thinking of the young man, but he didn’t expect the young man to be even more stubborn than him. This was like handing him money with both hands!

He then asked, ”1999 yuan per unit, aren’t you losing money? What channel did you get these goods from?”

Bai Jingqing replied, ”Of course I’m losing money! You don’t need to worry about what channel the goods came from; I naturally have my own channels.”

Hearing this, Peng Rizhao shut his mouth immediately. Channels were indeed the biggest secret of every mobile phone shop; it was impossible to tell others for no reason. Otherwise, if you snatched someone else’s channel and got goods from it, wouldn’t that be cutting off a colleague’s path? So he didn’t ask any further.

Only to hear Bai Jingqing continue, ”Since I’ve hung up this sign, I must be responsible for it. I’ve already stated the price of 1999, so there will absolutely be no under-the-table operations, absolutely no additional fees, and no tricks. I wrote ’unlimited supply,’ so it should be as many units as it says. If you say you want 100, I will sell you 100; there’s no need to buy less out of consideration for me. I must keep my promise. The main word for us doing business is ’Trust.’ One must have integrity. If a person lacks integrity, they cannot stand in society. Similarly, if we business people lack integrity, we will be spurned by customers and abandoned by the market. So, since I’ve put up this sign, I will sell it this way. No matter how much I lose, it will always be this price; it will never go up! You can come to me for goods whenever you want; it will always be 1999, never higher than 1999! I am willing to lose money! I don’t have much ability, but my life’s Ideal is to fulfill my parents’ dying wish: to let more people enjoy the fun of technology. Now, I am selling such high-end products at the price of 1999, just so that everyone can enjoy this kind of technology and feel the changes brought about by technological progress.”

Peng Rizhao just wanted to applaud as he listened; he was too moved. He had never seen such a good merchant! And that sentence, ”Let more people enjoy the fun of technology,” was truly well said! This should be the responsibility of mobile phone manufacturers, and the duty of those of them who sell phones! In his view, this young man really had a conscience; he was willing to lose money to live up to his sign and didn’t want to smash his own reputation.

Meanwhile, Pang Xietang, listening from the side, couldn’t help but curl his lip. Great, another speech like that. You are noble, you are amazing! If you’re so awesome, keep selling like this. Let’s see how long you can stay noble.

Peng Rizhao said, ”Young man, since you’re so reliable, I won’t dally either. I’m going to get the money now and will come to pick up the goods around tonight. Or, if you really don’t have enough stock, you can take a little more time to prepare.”

Bai Jingqing shook his head repeatedly, ”It’s fine, just come by tonight. I definitely have enough stock.”

Peng Rizhao nodded, ”Alright, with those words from you, I can rest easy.” Saying this, he left to get the money.

Just like that, Peng Rizhao didn’t even enter the room and directly closed the deal for 100 units.

Pang Xietang snorted coldly, ”Hmph, you kid can really put on a show! I’ll see later if you can actually produce these 100 units!”

Afterward, he returned to his own shop, turned around, and kept watching Bai Jingqing’s side. While waiting, he made a phone call to Xue Haixin and told him about the matter. Xue Haixin didn’t speak, only suspecting whether this kid was really having a mental breakdown, but still instructed him to keep watching.
