I Sell Mobile Phones Like a Swindler, and Customers Beg Me Not to Go Out of Business

42: Chapter 42 Isn’t this almost as good as the Xiaomi Mi 5?Beyond this massive barrage of advertising, Xue Haixin had other marketing strategies up his sleeve.

He had already gotten to know Sao Hei back when he was collaborating on an event with Tencent.

You have to realize, Sao Hei was the hottest top-tier streamer for heroic battle records, and even back then, he already had millions of fans.

And now that honor of kings had been released, Sao Hei naturally transitioned into being a top-tier streamer for honor of kings.

Since the target demographic for the Li Xiang Phone was honor of kings players, what would attract them the most?

Of course, it was getting honor of kings streamers to help promote it!

A streamer using their own skill and ability, combined with such a great device to achieve impressive battle records and reach a high rank—that was the greatest attraction for these gamers!

So, while he had some free time, Xue Haixin gave Sao Hei a call.

Sao Hei hadn’t streamed for the past few days. His millions of fans weren’t going anywhere, so he wasn’t in a rush. He wanted to take the opportunity to rest well and wait for honor of kings to be optimized.

But he didn’t expect that on this day, Xue Haixin, a director at Li Xiang Technology, would call him.

Even though he was a big streamer, he was still very respectful toward executives from such large companies.

”Hello, Chairman Xue. Calling me at this hour, is there something you need?”

Xue Haixin: ”Sao Hei, why haven’t you been streaming lately?”

Sao Hei gave a wry smile: ”Chairman Xue, don’t you know? heroic battle records has been upgraded to honor of kings, but Tencent hasn’t finished optimizing it yet. My Apple 6 Plus can’t run honor of kings at all, so I haven’t been streaming.”

”But that’s fine. I’ll take this time to rest up. I’ve been streaming for a long time recently and I’m a bit tired. I’ll start streaming again once Tencent finishes the optimization.”

Sao Hei was still muttering to himself. Xue Haixin was such a big chairman; surely he didn’t have time to watch his streams on a daily basis. He wondered why he was calling him now to ask about his streaming.

So, he casually asked: ”Chairman Xue, what about you? Is there something you need by calling me?”

Xue Haixin said: ”Actually, there is. Since your Apple 6 Plus can’t handle honor of kings, have you thought about collaborating with us at Li Xiang Technology?”

Sao Hei: ”Collaborate? Chairman Xue, do you mean you want me to play honor of kings using a Li Xiang Phone?”

Xue Haixin: ”Exactly. Think about it. If you keep waiting like this, quite a few honor of kings streamers will rise up, and won’t you have fewer viewers by then?”

”For example, I heard there’s a streamer named Wang Daxian recently. He seems to have great momentum, and his fans even claim he’s the number one honor of kings streamer. Are you willing to just be surpassed by him?”

Sao Hei hadn’t been watching many streams lately and didn’t know who this Wang Daxian was. He was a bit confused: ”Wang Daxian? Who is that? What phone is he using? Can it really play honor of kings smoothly?”

Xue Haixin shook his head: ”Who he is doesn’t matter. What matters is, do you want to start streaming now?”

Sao Hei: ”I want to stream, but I don’t have a phone that can play the game. Can the Li Xiang Phone really play honor of kings smoothly? I saw some posts on the forums before, and it seemed like it couldn’t, right?”

Xue Haixin: ”Sigh, those were the older phones. Indeed, even the ideal a8 couldn’t play honor of kings very smoothly. But if we collaborate, of course, we won’t just have you use the ideal a8.”

”Li Xiang Technology is releasing a new phone soon, the ideal a8 Pro. Its performance in honor of kings is quite impressive. Of course, if you are willing to collaborate with us, we won’t provide you with the standard version of the ideal a8 Pro, but a customized version of the ideal a8 Pro. Its performance will be even more powerful than the standard ideal a8 Pro!”

Sao Hei’s eyes lit up instantly. He was used to using Apple and had never considered using an android phone to stream.

Xue Haixin continued: ”Come to our company, and you’ll understand when you get here.”

He had already prepared everything for Sao Hei. The standard version of the ideal a8 Pro used an overclocked version of the li xiang 6 series processor, while the customized ideal a8 Pro he prepared for Sao Hei used a processor with an even higher overclock, with performance tuning that was very aggressive.

Of course, this would cause the phone’s power consumption to be very high, but Xue Haixin had specifically considered this. He had specifically requested that the cooling for this customized ideal a8 Pro be piled up, even sparing no expense on the cooling!

Therefore, relatively speaking, this customized ideal a8 Pro would perform better in the game honor of kings than the standard ideal a8 Pro.

However, the customized ideal a8 Pro could not be mass-produced. First of all, its overclocking was a bit excessive. If it were mass-produced and the user base grew, all kinds of problems might arise, which would have a negative impact on Ideal’s reputation.

Furthermore, this customized ideal a8 Pro was crazily packed with cooling, and the cost of various special graphene cooling materials was quite high. If it were mass-produced, the cost of the phone would increase significantly.

Customizing one unit for Sao Hei was harmless. He could arrange for a technician to watch over it, and if any problems occurred, they could be handled immediately. At the same time, it could attract a large number of gamers, leading them to believe that what Sao Hei was using was the standard version of the ideal a8 Pro, which would also promote sales of the standard ideal a8 Pro.

Since Li Xiang Technology’s advertising was overwhelming, basically every gamer already knew about this phone.

Of course, with the buzz about the xiaomi 5 on the forums, basically everyone who played honor of kings now knew about the existence of the xiaomi 5 phone. However, they didn’t buy it.

Because they didn’t trust the xiaomi phone, always feeling that xiaomi phones were knock-offs, since they had never heard of such a phone manufacturer. Knock-offs meant that after getting the phone, various problems might occur, and knock-offs didn’t have any after-sales service.

But now, after seeing the Li Xiang Technology advertisement, these gamers were completely excited. Li Xiang Technology was definitely a major manufacturer, a giant among domestic phone manufacturers! This phone was naturally much more reliable than the xiaomi phone! At least they didn’t have to worry about after-sales issues.

Moreover, Li Xiang Phone was releasing a new phone at this time. The ideal a8 Pro was clearly aimed at honor of kings players. The advertisement even said that Ideal had collaborated with Tencent for three years of meticulous tuning, proving that the ideal a8 Pro had definitely been specially optimized for honor of kings! Therefore, this phone’s gaming performance must be better than phones from other domestic manufacturers!

After all, Li Xiang Technology was the largest mobile phone manufacturer in the country and had long since opened an online store. So, many people were consulting Li Xiang Technology’s customer service online.

”The xiaomi phone can play honor of kings at a stable 30 fps, and even reach 50-60 fps when not in team fights or under low load. So, the ideal a8 Pro, which Li Xiang Technology has been polishing for so long, should surely be able to stabilize at 60 fps, right?”

The customer service team was also very happy. With so many people coming to ask about the ideal a8 Pro, it proved that the advertising had indeed been effective!

The head of the customer service team asked headquarters overnight whether the information regarding the ideal a8 Pro’s gaming performance could be made public. Headquarters gave a positive reply, so customer service immediately replied to those players: ”Dear players, the ideal a8 Pro can currently stabilize honor of kings at 30 fps, with a fluctuation of 1.3 fps and an average frame rate of 28 fps. It can absolutely guarantee that all Summoners can enjoy playing honor of kings!”

However, after receiving the customer service’s reply, many players were not happy.

”Wait, is this what you called three years of meticulous tuning? Polishing it for so long and this is the level? Stable 30 fps, 1.3 fps fluctuation, 28 fps average—isn’t this about the same as the xiaomi 5?”
