The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 636: Chapter 635: Poisonous Diao Ghost Mother

From the age of eight to twelve, little Ah Yuan suffered greatly.

The household was wealthy yet heartless, and no one sympathized with a bought servant.

Luckily, the young master had more than one scholar and foster boy by his side, otherwise, Ah Yuan might have been tormented to death long ago.

Ah Yuan was also clever and perceptive; in such an environment, he tried his best to please the young master while reducing the number of times he was harmed by him.

By the time he was sixteen, he finally found an opportunity and set the entire family ablaze.

A sixteen-year-old youth managed to plan for eight years and then executed his revenge alone. And amidst the large fire, he retreated completely unscathed — endurance, calmness, meticulous planning, ruthlessness...

The days that followed weren’t easy. Although he escaped after taking revenge, he fell into the hands of a Jianghu person, a woman in her forties known as the Poisonous Diao Ghost Mother, who liked young lads.

She happened to see Ah Yuan start the fire and threatened him that if he didn’t follow her, she would report him to the authorities — with dozens of lives lost, the government wouldn’t spare him from torture.

Ah Yuan yielded.

Afterward, the Poisonous Diao Ghost Mother poisoned Ah Yuan, requiring him to take an antidote every two months or suffer a fate worse than death.

In the hands of the Poisonous Diao Ghost Mother, Ah Yuan deeply felt the worst could only get worse! He was her servant and plaything, an object of venting...

When she was happy, she would pull him to bed for venting and only release him once satisfied;

When she was unhappy, she would whip, punch, and kick him before pulling him to bed for venting, requiring even more satisfaction before letting him go.

And there was no need to worry about Ah Yuan not satisfying her because she would feed him a kind of medicine. Once taken, not once, but even for a day and night, Ah Yuan could satisfy her.

After more than two years of this life worse than death, Ah Yuan became emaciated. He wanted to kill the Poisonous Diao Ghost Mother, trying to win her favor, learn skills from her, and use all his former endurance and meticulousness, but he couldn’t kill her.

The Poisonous Diao Ghost Mother was not like that wealthy yet ruthless family; she had powerful martial arts and was adept with poison. Without finding the antidote first, killing her would mean he could only live for another two months.

Until a year ago, the Poisonous Diao Ghost Mother met Xia Wenjin.

Xia Wenjin eliminated the wicked Poisonous Diao Ghost Mother, rescued Ah Yuan, and helped him detoxify, carefully caring for him for several days until all the poison was driven from his body.

Knowing he had nowhere to go, she sent him to Xue Niang to be arranged with some tasks.

A while ago, Xue Niang sent word saying Ah Yuan was very diligent, eager to learn, and quite smart, performing tasks with ease.

She needed a coachman by her side and called Xue Niang to send someone over; unexpectedly, the person sent was Ah Yuan.

Ah Yuan clasped his fists in salute and said, ”Miss, I can drive a carriage very well!” Xue Niang explained that on arrival, he should address Xia Wenjin as Miss.

With a smiling face, Xia Wenjin said, ”Alright, let’s see. If you’re really as good as you say, then stay and help me!”

Ah Yuan was thrilled and knelt in front of the carriage.

Xia Wenjin paused for a moment, realizing Ah Yuan intended himself to be her human stepping stone, offering his back for her to step on as she boarded.

Xia Wenjin went over to pull him up, saying, ”Just bring a step board! I saved you to let you live with dignity. Don’t kneel so easily in the future!”

Ah Yuan blushed and dared not look at the young lady! Where was there a step board on this carriage? The only one was on the shaft. He quickly lowered his head and fetched the board to support it on the ground.

His hand was in support on one side, but Xia Wenjin had already steadily boarded the carriage from the slanted wooden board.

Lowering his head to retrieve the board, there was a hint of disappointment in Ah Yuan’s eyes.

Actually, he was very willing to be the young lady’s stepping board.

However, the young lady refused because she didn’t look down on him because of his past, nor did she despise him for being just a coachman.

The young lady said she wanted him to live with dignity.

The young lady’s gaze was gentle and calm, with no contempt, disdain, or belittlement. She regarded him as an equal, a person just like her.

She didn’t assume the posture of a master nor of a benefactor!

After boarding the carriage, while lowering the curtain, Xia Wenjin said, ”Ah Yuan, how have you been with Xue Niang? Are things going smoothly?”

Ah Yuan nodded vigorously; how could it be merely smooth? From the age of eight to nineteen, he hadn’t lived a human life until this past year with Xue Niang.

There were no pederasts or old witches tormenting his body, no poison tormented his mind — all these were thanks to Miss Wenjin.

Xia Wenjin smiled, ”That’s good, just say what you want to learn, don’t be afraid. Being able to support yourself and being your own master, only then is life fulfilling! I couldn’t help with the hardships you experienced before, but under my care, no one will bully you from now on!”

The girl’s white jade-like face carried a warm smile, with confident eyes, but Ah Yuan believed she could do it.

The phrase ”under my care” made Ah Yuan press his lips; did this mean he was now Miss Wenjin’s person?

There was a secret joy in his eyes.

Miss Wenjin was like a fairy, pure and beautiful, a beacon of light illuminating his dark life, saving him from such a lightless abyss. For the rest of his life, his life belonged to her! Staying by her side, regardless of being a coachman, a servant, or an even more lowly slave, he was willing to!

Unaware of Ah Yuan’s internal thoughts, Xia Wenjin was about to lower the carriage curtain and call for departure when suddenly the sound of hooves echoed, followed by the sound of wheels rolling over the road.

Xia Wenjin frowned slightly, deducing it was a carriage approaching, not an ordinary one, as it seemed to be driven by at least a pair of fine horses.

Then, a clear and confident voice called, ”Uncle Xia, Brother Xia, I’ve come to pick you up!”

Huangfu Yuxuan, always one to join the commotion.

Just as Xia Wanqing was about to board the carriage and Xia Sichen was preparing to get on as well, upon hearing the voice, Xia Wanqing lifted the curtain with a cheerful smile, ”It’s Young Master Xuan, how come you’ve personally shown up for such a minor matter?”

Although determined to verify Xia Wenjin’s claims, proper etiquette couldn’t be overlooked. If false, there’s no offense, and future meetings would proceed smoothly; if true, treating with past respect avoids suspicion!

After all, age brings wisdom; Xia Wanqing still had the foresight.

Seeing Xia Wenjin frown, Ah Yuan looked up and saw an opulent, spacious, and beautiful carriage with two glossy horses, seemingly highlighting the owner’s status — luxurious, noble, and out of reach.
