The Dramatic Crown Princess Wants to Poison Me!

Chapter 612: Chapter 611: Stunned

Old Liang had a few wounds, bleeding profusely, making it clear he couldn’t perform at his best right now.

Hearing Xia Wenjin’s words, he thought he should bind his wounds as quickly as possible, maybe he could help the young miss, so he took two steps back, hurriedly opened the bottle and sprinkled antiseptic medicine on his body.

The attacks from the man in gray and the man in brown clothes were already approaching, and the dagger in Xia Wenjin’s hand suddenly flew out.

Throwing away the dagger before the opponents even arrived seemed baffling indeed.

The sharp-tongued woman and her group started laughing.

She must know she can’t win, and is throwing away her weapon to plead for mercy.

Clearly, she has some brains, knowing how to use her pretty looks to beg the young master for leniency. Even if it means sacrificing a coachman, she could become the young master’s concubine and live a life of luxury, at least she wouldn’t have to ride such a shabby carriage anymore.

The sharp-tongued woman even showed a hint of jealousy.

It’s just because she’s beautiful, that she can become the concubine of the Marquis’s young master; truly fortunate!

However, all the laughter stopped with a terrified scream.

The man in gray and the man in brown clothes were just dazed for a moment, when they discovered the little girl had vanished; the coachman had been pushed away by the girl, several feet out of their attack range.

Turning back, they saw on the Marquis Mansion’s carriage, on the emblem, a dagger had just pierced into it, mere inches from their young master’s face.

It was virtually the same as touching his cheek.

The terrified scream was from him.

In other words, the little girl had thrown the dagger directly, if she wanted to stab their young master, it would have been a lethal hit.

Though it pierced the emblem now, it was so close to their young master’s face, that he was shaking in fear, and an unpleasant smell spread in the air.

Their young master was so scared by the dagger, he wet himself.

This Zhai Hao was just a bastard relying on family power to bully others, when had he ever truly sensed danger?

What frightened the gray and brown-clad men more was the little girl, who had vanished from their sight, was now standing beside their carriage, squinting, with her cold gaze sweeping over their young master.

Zhai Hao didn’t care about his wet pants, he was sitting on the ground in panic, yelling desperately, ”Don’t come over, stay away, get away... Old Qian, Old Zhao, save me...”

His previously arrogant demeanor had completely vanished.

The sharp-tongued woman and the others stood with mouths agape, the ridicule and disdain in their eyes could not continue.

Even Old Liang was stunned.

Not because of the dagger, but because he couldn’t see clearly how the young miss had crossed the distance to the carriage so quickly.

Considering the men in gray and brown were blocking the way, weapons in hand, and the young miss was still ten feet away from the carriage.

Even he wouldn’t be able to do it.

Xia Wenjin reached out, pulled the dagger out, played with it in her hand, and said indifferently, ”With this little courage, he wants to catch me?” Her gaze swept over the sharp-tongued woman and her group, who instantly silenced in fear, with some even quietly stepping back.

The man in gray and the man in brown wore a heavy expression, secretly regretting their misjudgment. Just tossing a dagger to hit the intended target is not really an impressive skill, just requires accurate aim.

They were too careless, not expecting this little girl to be so cunning.

Now their young master was too close to her, forcing them to hold back.

If this girl succeeded, their reputation would be ruined, and they’d have no standing in the Marquis Mansion in the future.

Thinking of this, a fierce light flashed in their eyes.

This little girl must not be left alive.

Even if the young master was infatuated with her appearance and wanted to keep her, they would remove her. They couldn’t leave such a dangerous person by the young master’s side! Reporting this matter, the Marquis would reward them.

Having made up their minds, the two became calmer, and the man in gray spoke solemnly, ”Young girl, I’d advise you to be smart, let go of our young master.”

Xia Wenjin replied nonchalantly, ”What good would it do me to let him go?”

The man in brown said, ”If you let him go, we won’t pursue the matter of you damaging the Marquis Mansion emblem, and let this issue pass, you wouldn’t suffer any losses anyway.”

Xia Wenjin lifted her eyelids and said, ”Oh, so your meaning is, if I let your young master go, we will both go our separate ways and pretend this didn’t happen, right?”

The men in gray and brown replied, ”That’s right!” They intended to first stabilize Xia Wenjin and rescue their young master.

Once the young master was free from her threat, wouldn’t the little girl be at their mercy?

Xia Wenjin sneered lightly, ”I was peacefully on my way, only to be stopped by your carriage, then insulted, taken forcibly onto your carriage, and my coachman injured. Now you’re telling me to forget it happened, are you joking or did I hear incorrectly?”

”Young girl, I advise you to take the good offer; you probably don’t know who you’ve offended,” the man in gray warned, ”It’s not someone of your status you can afford to provoke; no need to risk your family’s life.”

Xia Wenjin said, unperturbed, ”Oh, is the Marquis Anping Mansion’s status so impressive? Impressive enough to commit crimes in broad daylight, abduct innocent girls, and disregard human life. Does this surpass the laws of Nanxia, surpass the Imperial Family?”

This little girl knew their identity, yet dared to speak daringly; they wouldn’t dare respond to this.

Who would dare claim superiority over the Royal Family? That would be suicidal, with so many people watching; they might stand with the Marquis Mansion now, but at any sign of trouble, they’d be the first to trample them.

The man in gray angrily shouted, ”Young girl, don’t you dare be so disrespectful! Do you truly believe we are afraid of you? You may enjoy this moment, but have you forgotten your family behind you? If anything happens, you’ll regret it!”

Xia Wenjin almost laughed in anger; such arrogance truly takes advantage of people.

Judging by how quick they were to resort to violence, they’ve done many dishonorable deeds for this young master Zhai Hao. These two are mere accomplices of the villain, today she not only intends to teach this spoiled heir a lesson but also harshly reprimand these two.

She laughed coldly, ”Are you threatening me? I’m so scared; perhaps I should kill him first. At least when my family gets implicated in the future, it won’t be unjust.”

With that, she really started toward Zhai Hao.

”Stop!” The man in gray and the man in brown shouted anxiously, wanting to move forward, yet fearful Xia Wenjin would act immediately.
